...and the one thing I admired most about him was his power to not give a fuck.
For a little bit more context: he was 38 years old, he lived fast, loud and wild, did whatever he wanted and like I allraidy said, didn't give a fuck about what others might think. it kinda obviously resulted in an early death, yeah, but I think he maxed out his full experience potential.
I on the other hand didn't do so many things, mostly because I was scared or my brain told me that it's stupid.
I am not following in his foodsteps in terms of bringing my body to the limit, you know... but I want to honor him in being myself all the fucking time, not being afraid of the consequences. honor him in this way so his "spirit" can live with me.
he would not have wanted that I cry and that I am sad about him dying but I can't help it. so I will say: I am sorry, Fischer, that I am devastated. I miss you. I will never forget you and some day I don't give a fuck about you leaving me behind.

Sorry if this is not appropriate, but I have a sizing question for the polygon path x5. It’ll be my first gravel bike + proper geared bike, so I’m very inexperienced.
I’m 164cm which is just shy of 5 foot 4. I’m one cm into the M sizing suggestion, and there’s no crossover between sizes.
Anyone else have similar specs/experience with being in between sizes for polygon/advice? I did a little digging and a lot of comments say smaller for agility, larger for stability.

Hey! So I’m working with imitation gold leaf, which I usually use on wood and paper illustrations/sculptures without any issues. However, I’m having trouble getting it to adhere to this specific concave aluminum disk (similar to the underside of a soda can).
My usual method—using really thin, tacky Mod Podge—worked perfectly when I tested it on regular soda cans, but for some reason, on this specific aluminum piece (which i need to use) the gold leaf flakes off immediately and won’t dry, even though the Mod Podge is extremely tacky and applied in a super-thin layer.
I even tried sanding the aluminum disk in case there was some kind of coating causing the issue, but that didn’t help either.
Does anyone have advice on what I could use to properly adhere "gold leaf" to aluminum/metal in general? Any help is appreciated!

Hey guys, I know the title sounds a bit weird, but July 2024 I did a full checkup at the doctors office with all hormones and Vitamines etc.
I was 17y old back then (5'2 and 110p/50kg - still am, just 18y old now) and I noticed that my a1c, homa index and insuline were on the higher side.
- A1c 5.7 ( I know taht it counts as pre diabetes in the US, but it's not the same in my country)
- Homa index 1.94
- insuline 10
I thought about PCOS, my testo was slightly high but so was my SHBG, my period is very regular but I still have a lot of cysts on my ovaries- the thing is, so do all the females in my family.
I thought about insuline resistance - maybe I have PCOS (even tho except my slightly high testo and my cysts , I have no other symptoms) - and PCOS always comes hand in hand with Insuline resistance.
The thing now, no doctor took me serious, because I'm think, look very healthy, have no family history and am young.
I was so scared, I started doing a very low carbs diet for 3 weeks, almost starved myself. Lost a lot of weight in those weeks and then did a a1c test again - 5.3.
Not long after I was at my lowest. No one would take me serious or help me. I started religiously taking my blood sugar after meals, watching it go above 150 when eating the wrong carbs. Went to my doctor and told him, asked for help, maybe he knew someone for a healthy diet plan or anything really. He didn't belive me- how can my blood sugar rose this high but my fasting glucose be fine?
I should relax and go home.
Now I know I might sound crazy, but such high blood sugar numbers can't be normal. A lot of time has passed since this phase of my life (about 6 months). I forgot about it, started eating like a teen again, but now this is catching up with me. I can provide more information if someone's interested in helpline me or maybe explaining some things to me - I know asking strangers on the net is a stupid idea- but you have to understand how desperate I am and how no one will help me.
