2025.01.22 23:12 zaradeptus Looking for a bedrock survival server with light pvp
I'm new to trying out online play with Minecraft. I'd like to just find a relatively quiet server that has some potential light survival mode pvp, but without it necessarily being the primary focus. Initially I would like to just get away from others and build up a village, perhaps occasionally dealing with someone else messing with my stuff of vise versa, but also enjoying periods of "peace" with some of my neighbours. Kind of similar to playing single player survival mode, except maybe a few hundred blocks away is another player building up their base, who may be potentially an enemy or a friend, and so on.
I'm not sure if something like that exists, but first appearing on recommended servers was a bit of a shock. The first server was filled with all kinds of mini-games and didn't even seem to have a survival mode (although it had something called "survival games"). A second featured server I tried had survival mode, but when I tried to get away from the centre of all the chaotic action, I quickly ran up against some sort of border that would light me on fire if I tried to go further. Plus, the in-game guide stated that everything resets every couple weeks...I'm looking for something that would be a bit more permanent in building stuff up.
I see that there are some servers that kind of sound like what I am looking for in their description, but they are heavily modded, and I am relatively new to this and would rather not jump into serious mods just quite yet.
Anyway, the whole thing seems a bit overwhelming and would appreciate some guidance.

Hi! I'm based in the UK where we have a free health service but the prescribing guidelines are very strict. I was diagnosed 5 years ago, and since then, I lost 20kg, got my diabetes into remission and have largely kept it there with diet and exercise, apart from a couple of months here and there on Metformin.
I've had a really busy year and struggled a bit more with eating right and exercising, but I was quite proud of myself for only putting on 5kg during this time (and I've lost 4kg of that since the new year). However, I'm still firmly in the obese category. I've not had a hba1c test done in a while but I've been finger pricking and 50% of my readings are perfectly in range (anywhere between 4 and 7 on the UK scale) and then 50% will be just over (anything from 7.1 to about 8.5). My fasting or post lunch readings are always highest. I'm eating well and exercising, and I thought with a bit of weight loss/getting back into a routine after Christmas my bloods would stabilise more, but they haven't and my fasting is still stubbornly high, as is my post lunch reading if I don't get a walk in afterwards.
My husband and I are wanting to have a kid in the next year so I want to get my body into the best possible shape I can before then so that I hopefully my diabetes doesn't go mad during pregnancy and after childbirth and I can minimise any potential complications for me or the child. To get into a healthy BMI I need to lose around another 20kg, and I really want to get my blood sugars consistently within the pregnancy guidelines, which are a lot stricter than regular T2 guidelines.
Neither my diabetes nor weight are bad enough for me to get prescribed a semaglutide on the NHS. Whenever I've lost weight in the past I've done it through diet and exercise, but it's taken a lot of time and I always tend to plateau around my current weight of 90kg. It appears to be pretty easy to get a private prescription for semaglutide here and I'm reaching the point where I'm heavily considering it, even though I've always felt a bit morally dubious about it. But I think I'll struggle to lose 20kg on my own, I know that I'll put on weight through pregnancy and lose some diabetes control so I really want to do everything I can now to start from my healthiest possible starting point and minimise the damage. I know that I'll have to come off the semaglutide when we start TTC.
Any experiences or thoughts?

I have 100 on Citizens, Traders and the Refugees, 16 with guards which I think I can't raise anymore, bc I've done every single quest already. And my rep with countryside is stuck at 61, I have 86 with bathhouse, tanner and the innkeeper at Broken Wheel Tavern and that's their limit. But I read that you can get 86 with the maids on the tavern too and mine are stuck at 73, and don't raise.

OK, so I first saw these on TikTok and I bought I believe the lowest amount that I could at I think I bought like five ones and I thought they were extraordinarily cool. To my knowledge, the reason why people buy gold is so that way we can have a fallback plan in case inflation glows out of control paper money becomes worthless or something else that I honestly cannot think of right now, but I see people or at least one person who responded to me comment Saying it’s a scam because of how much they charge versus how much gold is in them and so that I say I mean, would I call a car a scam because it’s how much it takes to put them together? It’s an issue of what you’re willing to pay and what you’re not yeah we don’t know at least. They are very, very cool and yeah, I understand that not a lot of people are gonna be able to use them in their day-to-day life, but you’re telling me that not one person in the sub who does not like them wouldn’t take it. If you like a gold and somebody said, “hey, I will give you my gold back for your whatever” you wouldn’t take that deal?

2025.01.22 23:12 Vdark Day 45 without F1 - Double Stack Delight
Coming home for work, we have a single lane driveway and my wife has to leave for work before me in the morning so we always run into my vehicle being the last one in so I have to move it in the morning way before I should be awake. So today I decided to get greedy and go for the double stack where I would reach out to my engineer (my wife) and see if we could time her moving her vehicle out of the way and me parking mine. I was nervous because what if something happens like she can’t find the keys, or the kids are playing in the driveway, or a million other things could happen. Then my plans would be ruined and I’d have to try again tomorrow. Once I got the call to box, box in 60 seconds I knew it was go time. My heart started to race a bit more but I knew we could do this. 30 seconds passed and I had one more turn to go before getting to my street. “If Mercedes could do this, so could I!” I kept thinking in my head. Final left-turn onto my street and boom!! There is my wife pulling her vehicle out of the way RIGHT as I hit our driveway. It was the most flawless double stack ever! I raced into my spot as she followed right behind leaving her vehicle first to leave tomorrow for work. I can rest easy tonight knowing we pulled off perfection! Until tomorrow my dear F1 friends…..
