King tower needs to die to log.
Okay kind of clickbait title, but this tower troop and its evolution are far too oppressive and need some kind of nerf. I just hit 0k trophies and I still see King tower at LEAST every single game, if not more often than that. If I don't have ebarbs rage it’s an auto-lose against any half decent player, which I find ridiculous and annoying. Ebarbs have made basically every other troop obsolete. I want to use Mega knight, or Wizard , or Egiant, or Minion Horde, something INTERESTING besides King tower, but I just can't because King tower cycle gets ludicrous value.
Sure it has mediocre usage in mid ladder (can't understand why given how much value it gives) but its omnipresence in mid ladder warrants a nerf or change of some kind. It's been like almost 9 years of this.

I just adopted a 5 yr old cat whose owner died. She was an elderly lady, who would wipe his paws each night, and he'd sleep in bed with her. He most likely didn't interact with other humans or social with other animals. Today is day 12 in his new home, we have all of his toys, blankets, etc. He will not come out of the closet. His face is facing the wall. We have not seen him walk, only stand. We are petting him. He is eating, drinking and toileting very well, but only at night when we go to bed. What can we do to get our cat to join the household, and come out of the closet, and engage with us?

2025.01.23 02:21 UnitedCorner1580 From the Buddhist perspective, how can I deal with a family member being radicalized politically? I can't even look at them in the eye anymore.
Context
I aim to meditate daily, usually for 10 minutes. I have learned about Buddhism in the past and even sought out a Sangha in the past. There was a point where I was reading Buddhist books but I have not for a while. I was always most familiar with Mingyur Rinpoche. I am not totally new to Buddhism but I am far from an expert.

I really need help.
I live with my parents and one of them has totally changed over the past 10 years or so. They are kind and compassionate in their personal dealings (including with me), but support people and policies that are hateful and believe things that are false. They repeat those lies if given an opportunity.
As good as our relationship is, this parent can fluctuate a lot: recently, they are very cold to me. They view me as an enemy it feels, even if they'd never admit it. They have bad attitudes towards me and people like me. They get like this during campaign and inauguration periods, but we know campaigning in the US where I live never ends.
I rely on this parent for so much: they help me with my disabling health conditions, they are emotional support through all the hard times I have gone through, they allow me to live with them. I love them. We legitimately have had great times together and this is my parent who I'd do anything for.
But the issue is I am having trouble looking this person in the face/spending time around them. Every moment it gets worse. With the recent inauguration and change of course in the US, it feels like it will just continue to diminish. My outlook, as someone who has studied politics and history, sees things in a bleak fashion.
Despite my disabilities, I am pushing myself harder than ever to work full time and move out immediately. It cannot go on any longer.
However, while I am stuck at home, I am having trouble dealing with this.

2025.01.23 02:21 companionspecies How much intrigue, trickery, NPC meddling is too much? Thoughts on the balance between realistic NPC actions and letting the party get an uncontested win from time to time?
Lots of posts here along the lines of "I made a trusted NPC backstab the party, now they interrogate every new NPC and situation". My question is similar, but not exactly the same.
I'm running a political intrigue/espionage themed campaign, the players are in on it, and their PCs are all wrapped up in plots of their own. Their expectations are already tempered, they know they're in a world full of many different powerful groups, all grabbing at power.
Currently, the party is traveling by ship. Things are tense. Aboard the ship are 200 other people, all from various cities, many of them from military or government, all escaping the same disaster by sea and trying to return to the home continent. The party just caught an NPC that had assassinated 3 others and made an attempt at one of the PCs- part of a bigger plot in which the NPC is hired/blackmailed by a mystery group to off the 4 people on the ship, interconnected due to their previous actions.
The NPC is now caught and tied up, though the ship has no formal brig. Party doesn't want to kill them. Party also doesn't want to play jailer for the next 3 sessions as they make their way home. However, party also doesn't necessarily trust everyone the ship.
TLDR: I'm at a crossroads with how aggressively tricky my hostile NPCs should get. On one hand, there are definitely people present, people that the party might even ask to be the ad hoc jailers, that would be motivated to free or kill the assassin in their holding area. On the other, the party got a big win and I can tell their eager to hand this assassin off to someone so they don't have to think on it anymore! How much meddling is too much??

Little bit about me - I’m a recreation therapist, currently working with people on the spectrum. I love my job, and can definitely say I’ve found the right career path I wanted to go down.
I’m a musician, playing drums for 20 years now, guitar for about 10, and I even like to sing a little bit. I’m in a cover band, playing the odd bar gig, but mainly just for fun.
I was adopted from Guatemala as a baby but I’m now living in Ontario Canada.
