My husband and I got married in December of 2024. Prior to that, I was filing as Head of Household with my mom as my dependent and my husband was filing Single. Now that we're married, I'm so confused about filing our taxes. My dad always filed jointly with my mom because she had no income. My husband made $81k last year and I made $40k, $5k of which was unemployment because I lost my job in early October. I have so many questions...
- Will us filing as married impact our chances of getting a house in the future? (He always planned to go for the house on his own income since I don't make much and have a lot of student loan debt)
- I was really depending on my tax refund to pay some bills. How will that work now? Will my chance of getting a refund be lesser?
- Will we get penalized if we don't file as married?
- Is it better to file jointly or separately?

Go Bills 🦬🏈🦬🏈🦬, I'm heading to the game in KC this Sunday as I did in the last AFC Chompionship in the COVID year and was wondering if there is a specific place Bills fans will be congregating/parking/tailgating. During my last trip out there we kinda just hung by our car with basically all chiefs fans didn't really walk around or anything. After we got back we heard tale of a parking lot that was taken over by Bills fans at Arrowhead, any info on this for this coming weekend? I know that the overall dates for exams this semester are April 11-26 (not including easter weekend) but I have an exam for one of my classes where the date has not been posted yet. Do I need to ask my professor to get the date in advance, or is there some arbitrary date I can't find online where SFU will publish all the exam dates? I have an out-of-country wedding I've been invited to in April and I need to tell them whether I can make it or not lol

Soy una chica y desde que tengo memoria me he relacionado prácticamente solo con hombres. Crecí con puros varones y cuando éramos niños solo salía a jugar con ellos y sus amigos (hombres también), nunca me importó demasiado, se me hacía muy fácil hacer amigos en casi todos lados... No fue hasta la preparatoria que me veía obligada a hablarle a las chicas, puesto que muchos de los chicos de mi clase querían algo más que amistad conmigo. Por alguna razón, no le caía bien a las chicas, la mayoría (por no decir todas) terminaban por alejarse de mi. Continúe un tiempo juntandome solo con chicos pero poco a poco empezaron a pensar o decir cosas con las que no me sentía cómoda (sexo, mujeres, drogas, etc...). Era obvio que eventualmente éso pasaría, sin embargo siento que ya no encajo entre ellos, pero también siento que no encajo con las chicas. ¿Qué debo hacer?

Folks, I sure could use some advice on how to cheer up my 16-y-o kid. For background: she is a survivor of s**ual assault from a boy she dated. She is devastated about Trump rolling back environmental regulations, diversity initiatives, and reproductive laws; and there’s all the other crap (building up daily): TikTok waffling, no hand on Bible, Nazi salute by Musk, tariffs, Greenland, Panama, Gulf of Mexico, J6 pardons, housing prices, minimum wage, etc. She still can’t believe that someone like her assaulter was even elected at all.
She has lost interest in everything and says she has no future. Doesn’t want to do things that used to bring her joy. We see a therapist regularly but things have gotten worse over the past month. I almost want to take a leave of absence from work and take her on a huge trip to get some fresh perspective. Any other suggestions?

So my xp-pen 15.6 artist drawing tablet's buttons do not work when I'm using the built in drawing tablet drivers. (open tablet?) simply doesn't have any input. when I try to bind key's the the auxilary buttons that doesn't work either.
I tried to install the xp-pen drivers. But I only now realized bazzite is immutable so I get an error whenever I try to run the instal.sh script.
Any suggestions to get around this? or to get my tablet working anyway?

2025.01.22 23:20 not-so-hot-mess Nova Scotia Exam Tips?
I just finished my Sales Person Licensing Course and to be honest I’m feeling very under prepared. Everything was fully online which is definitely a learning style I struggle with. You get lots of multiple choice review through the course and they show you the forms but I know the exam has sections for long/short answer questions and a section where you analyze and use the forms. Completely unsure what to expect for these. Especially the long answer, I don’t feel like I learned anything that in depth yet to elaborate enough for a long answer question. If anyone has any tips on what to prepare for or what to expect so I know what sections I should focus on reviewing the most I would really appreciate it.
