My VVT solenoid on the side (not vtech solenoid on back) is leaking oil, and I thought I had fixed it with a new o ring.
The old one was gone, probably disintegrated, and I bought a stock oem one for like $20 (!) and I thought that fixed it. Fast forward a few weeks and it’s leaking oil again.
Has anyone experienced the solenoid itself leaking? Not so much around the o ring but maybe out the little hole in the plastic part itself or some such? I want to ask around before I spend the money on a new VVT. I guess it’s possible it could leak but I want to make sure I don’t just need to tighten the oring a bit more.

2025.01.22 23:06 BernieDharma Spent the last 4 hours playing with new hotfix going in and out of Orison, and things went very well. No crashes or major issues, I was able to recover my cargo that was in my Vulture, sell RMC, leave and return several times without incident. Thanks Devs for getting this out today! Much appreciated
I realize some people are still having issues, but the hotfix was specifically targeted to address the many client crashes and people stuck at Orison and it is working as intended. I had a client crash yesterday with a Vulture full of salvage as I was approaching the hangar and could not log back in without the game crashing again. After the hotfix, I woke in the hab, recalled my ship, and all the cargo was still there! I was able to store it all, and sell it.
Then I ran 5 more salvage missions, stored and retrieved my ship without it getting eaten and even transported some dead cargo from defunct hauling missions to CRU-L4's NQA terminal.
No crashes, no black screens, no loss of cargo, no hangar elevators eating my ships. All in all a good day.
Thanks Devs for getting this out today! Much appreciated!

Hi,
I bought 2020 RAV4 Hybrid, nice car, but infotainment is aged, not appealing and non-functional where I need it most: phone calls. Tried with two Samsung phones, all same problems, hands free call is heard on other side like I would be dropping coins on the mic all the time, mic location in overhead console is not optimal, so my voice is dull. It's really not pleasant experience. Beside, Toyota's implementation of Android Auto is not so friendly, especially searching for contacts, lack of T9 search.
I spend few hours daily in vehicle and this is so annoying disfunction, that I really consider selling the vehicle for this single fail.
So, I am considering to buy aftermarket Android headunit, many have nice reviews, but nobidy, and I mean nobody ever mentioned, what happens with special (hidden) vehicle specific diagnostic menus, which are accessible via headunit. I guess all those features are gone.
Anybody thoughts?

I took a friend out for his first tjme last week and granted I’m mid but I think I taught him the basics pretty well. We got like 4-5 hours of riding in and he felt like he could graduate from bunny to greens and I agreed. Now keep in mind it’s his first time, he ate shit like we all did our first time but he def started to get the hang of it taking straighter lines and just slowing down and riding the heel edge a bit when he wanted to. He even did toe edge more and more throughout the day.
Honestly I thought he did great but a friend of ours told me he’s absolutely should not do that and he’s expected to know how to go heel to toe perfectly. He should not ride the heel edge for a little while when he needs to?
That just seems kinda bull shit it was literally his first time going.

I keep hearing people say USD term deposit rates are higher than AUD these days. But I just checked BofA's term deposit (they call it certificate of deposit) rates, it's 3 point something percent. Whereas in Australia, CommBank's term deposit rate is 4 point something percent.
Is it because I am checking the wrong things?

I started talking to this guy in the end of October we had our first date in November. It was the best first date I’ve ever been on but that same day he told me that he had something to tell me. Him and his ex girlfriend were still living together. She was on the lease and didn’t have a place to go. He told me he understood if this was something I no longer wanted due to his situation. She was planning to be about by January or February. The situation threw me off but it was our first date and I really liked him so I decided to keep seeing him. He’s a sweet guy and has treated me with so much respect throughout our relationship. We got together that same month. Then in December there was a day when he came to pick me up and told me he had great news. His ex girlfriend was moving and she should be gone within a week. He said he had woken up to her standing over him angry. She found out he was seeing someone and was upset. When he told her that he was indeed seeing someone she started packing her stuff right away. Just so everyone knows the reason they split up was because she cheated on him. It took her longer than a week to move out but it finally happened and it felt like such a relief. As our relationship started to deepen I started worrying if her being there was going to become a problem so I was happy. He invited me to his apartment and I got to stay the night. It was all perfect. The next week again he asked me if I’d like to stay the weekend since and I was ecstatic. Saturday night we got back from dinner and it was 12 something at night. He starts getting a call by someone named Andrea. He doesn’t pick up but she starts blowing up his phone. I tell him that he should pick it up it may be important and that’s when he says it’s his ex girlfriend. My heart dropped and I told him to just pick it up. He got up and walked over to his room to pick up the call. I couldn’t hear everything she was saying but I picked up on a couple things. She was yelling and saying “what the fuck you have there really dude?” And “it hasn’t even been that long” He’s a nice person but when someone is rude or crosses a line he knows how to put his foot down and is a little mean so I was a bit confused as to why he wasn’t a bit more firm with her. I heard him say “am I not allowed to? I’m sorry” which I’m guessing was his response to her asking if I was there. And I know it may sound immature but I didn’t like how her number was saved in his phone. After the call he comes into the living room and tells me he has to take me home. He looks upset and he keeps apologizing telling me that she told him she got jumped where she was staying and is going to have to come back. I was hurt I wanted to cry but instead I got up and told him it was okay he helped gather my stuff and what not and we left. On our way to his car she was parked very close and mentioned that it was her. Once he started driving me to my house he noticed she was tailgating us he gave her time to back off but she didn’t and he had to call the cops. There he had to get down as did she to tell the officers what was going on. I didn’t ask many questions about their relationship. As curious as I was I knew some of those answers might have hurt. So instead I stayed curious. But I found out that they were together for 5 years. And I swear I heard the word engaged. She stared at me a bit and I felt so small and honestly a bit dumb. That night i got home and he apologized I could tell that he was nervous he kept fidgeting and asking me if I was okay. I’m not good with things like this nor am I good at talking about my emotions. I felt hurt I wanted to cry but first I wanted to put these emotions together before I talked to him about it. The following day he showed up to my house which is about an hour and 30 minute drive he bought me flowers, some stuffed animals which is something I love, and a letter. He apologized told me he still has the apartment to himself and that she was probably drunk. This entire week I’ve been so sad I keep wishing I could erase this from my memory. I feel like I’m back in my shell except this time im hiding in a corner afraid to come out. Im also just so curious about there entire relationship now. Were they really engaged? Is it okay to be feeling like this?

 | This is Charizard. She is 6 years old. She belongs to my daughter. Please be nice as my daughter is heartbroken and is a child. In November, we noticed Charizard had stuck shed in her eyes. We took her to the vet the following day. The vet said her humidity was low (we live in a four seasons climate, we struggle with humidity in the winter) He advised us to spray her with warm water 2 times a day, 10 sprays. We have kept up with that religiously. Since then, Charizard has not eaten. As of today, her hind end is extremely swollen, she cannot poop, and she is making what seems to be painful noises. Our vet is closed. They reopen at 9 am. I plan on rushing her first thing but we fear we're in for a long night :( Please, does anyone have insight on what's going on with my grand‐lizard? 2025.01.22 23:06 blobfish3100 As a Cantonese speaker after finishing the 1.5 Special Episode, I can't help feeling a bit lied to
I just finished the 1.5 Special Episode and while I enjoyed most things about the story (eg. Belle gushing about and being a fan of Astra, Astra and Evelyn's relationship, the siblings being more open about their status as proxy after 1.4) there was one thing that made me feel disappointed/lied to about. That thing in particular was Astra Yao as a Cantonese singer. When I first saw the ZZZ trailer featuring her singing in Cantonese at the Game Awards I was really hyped about her as a Cantonese speaker that grew up listening to old canto pop songs and resolved to put her as number 1 priority to pull over Miyabi and Evelyn. This made me feel lied to when I realised that it was only the first teased/released song that was in Cantonese and the rest of the songs that followed (trailers and story) were in Mandarin. Even when the character demo came out and the song was in Mandarin I was still hoping that the majority and especially the story climax song would be sung in Cantonese. As a result, I felt baited to be excited about Astra as a Cantonese singer in what feels like a false promise/ marketing gimmick.
The only imperfect analogy I can think of is if they teased with the first two trailers a Catalan singer but the rest of the trailers and most of the story have the character sing in Spanish instead.
All in all while I enjoyed 1.5's story and am glad to have pulled Astra, I feel I would have been more excited/ less let down if they did not introduce Astra as a primarily Mandarin singer with the Cantonese coming as a surprise instead.
