I am a long time reader but this is my first post to AITAH. My brother (41M) and I (38M) have not had a cordial relationship for most of our lives. It stemmed from petty sibling rivalry that turned violent and when he was 16 and I was 13 we were having an argument and he shot me with our father’s hunting rifle. I fully recovered from the incident and have moved on to live my life – as did he. Since the incident was a family/domestic matter (in the 90s) and classified as an “accident” my parents refused to press charges and my brother faced minimal legal repercussions and has since had an illustrious career in the military. Over the 2 plus decades since the incident we have spoken minimally, we do not keep in touch nor do I even have his phone number or any way to reach him. It’s been 7 years since we last saw each other - at a cousin’s wedding, we did not speak to or acknowledge each other. He does, however, keep in touch with our parents. They’ll chat a couple times a month.
During the pandemic, in 2020, I returned to my hometown and circumstances lead me to buy my childhood home (from my parents) and we now live together as one multigenerational household. I work from home and am single, my folks are retired and this situation allows me to keep an eye on my parents and take care of them as they age. A few weeks ago, my brother’s ex-girlfriend called my mom to chat and catch up. While this isn’t entirely unheard of as they kept a relationship even 8 years after my brother broke up with her (Yes, I do think this is a little weird or least boundary pushing). On the phone, the ex-girlfriend asked to speak with me and asked If I’d be willing to go to therapy, with my brother, so he can work through some of his unresolved issues from childhood. I pondered this for a moment but decided that I didn’t want to do it. It would require me to go in person - my brother lives 400 miles away and it would require several, maybe up to 12, grueling sessions. It would also require me to address issues that I have since dealt with and put to rest – I had my own therapist for years and we worked together to help me get over childhood issues stemming from my brother's behavior. 20+ years ago, my brother expressed that he did not want a relationship with me, wanted nothing to do with me, wanted to go to no contact and did not want to acknowledge me when we’re in social or family gatherings. I obliged and returned the favor – we treated each other as strangers.
Now, my folks, some extended family and my brother’s ex-girlfriend are pushing me to reconsider, they believe I should be the bigger person – that I should go to these therapy sessions, hear what he has to say, and work together to re-establish a relationship. They're putting pressure on me and it's now making my home life rather uncomfortable. I want none of it. I don’t think this will be beneficial to me at all and frankly I’m not willing to put myself in this situation. AITA for refusing to re-establish a relationship with my brother?

Hi there! My mom have stage 3 cecum cancer. Colon resection and 8 rounds of chemo, PET and CT scans along the way were great, after 5th round or sl blood work shown ALP over 200 so doctor gave her a break before resuming.
She finished her last round on october and again CT SCAN completely free. 2 months later she now had some blood work and her alp is over 400!! Is that normal? Even if CT scans were clear and CEA levels low we are scared thus means liver mets, can liver toxicity from chemo last this long and be so high?
She has 0 symptoms and feel ok, was hoping some if you share your experience with hepatotoxicity
