2025.01.23 00:08 bloodied-mess I feel normal for maybe the first time in years but I’m scared I’m going to pay for it later
I have more conditions than just OCD for context, the only thing that matters for this though is that I also have a cluster-b personality disorder
I recently learned that I have a shit ton of vitamin deficiencies and am lacking in iron with a higher cholesterol, so I ended up getting supplements try to solve these issues. I also got prescribed mood stabilizers by my psychiatrist for my personality disorder, though they are taken at night.
Over the past week I’ve actually felt kinda normal. I have a reputation amongst all the people I know as “the freak guy who always has something horribly wrong” but it’s just like. Not like that right now? As though I’m just some guy.
I feel like the world is going to try to fix this imbalance by making something horrible happen and I’m not sure what to do. My OCD has remained the same (it typically relates to emotional contamination and things to do with time, though also “just right” type shit) but I feel like it might get worse as a way to “balance me out” if that makes sense
i just don’t know what to do

Hi, (again) Ok, my neighbors dogs were not checked on at all yesterday or today ( so far) I managed to get ahold of the owner thru video doorbell,he is out of State. I don't know when he'll be back. This leaves the other person who lives there, she did not come over at all yesterday or today (SO far). It's 7pm. As I said, I did talk to him and he said his sister is coming over and taking care of them. I told him she didn't come yesterday or today, and he said she did come over, and I shouldn't worry..the Dogs are being "Well taken care of" I know she hasn't been here because I have been checking like every 1/2 hour. I am really worried about these poor Dogs. My husband and I have tried writing them notes,talking to them and my husband even offered to go over and feed them if they can't make it home. We don't know what else to do. It's now getting serious. I know Animal Control can't break in, so I don't know what to do. Please, if anyone has any suggestions , we would greatly appreciate them. 3rd Month A, 288 AC, King's Landing, The Red Keep.
There was much going on. Too much for Triston Belmore. He was born the third son of Ser Benedar Belmore and Sansa Sunderland. His Lord grandfather has since died, which meant he was now the son of the Lord of Strongsong. When Triston was a child of eight years, he was sent to Storm's End. He was meant to become a companion of Robert Baratheon, the future Lord Paramount of the Stormlands. Of course he wouldn't stay at Storm's End too long, instead going to King's Landing with Lord Steffon Baratheon, the former Master of War.
The time in the capital has not been easy for Triston. Naturally, time was a rare resource for a member of the Small Council and so Triston spent much time alone. He trained with some of the guards in the yards of the Red Keep or prayed, but often he felt alone, felt lonely.
He took part in the war in the Stepstones, serving as a stableboy for the Stormknights' horses and squire to Lord Steffon. But to be in a war still an old boy or young man was not easy. And after returning to King's Landing the feeling of loneliness returned.
Then he was there to witness the execution of Lady Olenna Tyrell. He didn't know much about her, safe some rumours he heard. He heard King Rhaegar speak about her. He witnessed the trial of one Paxter Redwyne, who he didn't know either and again he didn't seem to understand. He witnessed the Great Sept of Baelor being closed and the King be judged publically by the Faith. He witnessed the troops collecting outside the walls and heard of the Stormknights being ready to march again. And march they did, though he remained.
Of course he was a man grown by then; a young men who had just turned 23. Then he heard of the King dying. He saw a fleet appearing in Blackwater Bay. He noticed the royal family being gone.
Perhaps the most grave moment he witnessed however was the death of Lord Jon Arryn. He remembered his confusion when people begann to speak of King Rhaegar wanting to force open the Sept of Baelor. He saw the Lord Arryn ride out, thinking himself to be able to get answers from him. But instead he witnessed him and his retinue being torn apart by a mob of commoners.
He was the one to inform his father, that his cousin Elbert Arryn now was Lord of the Vale. And all thanks to the Grandmaester Pycelle.
There was one way a great many lonely, young men walked to get rid of their loneliness and that was to pay one of the ladies on the famed Street of Silk. And it must have been his first visit there that bore a fruit he didn't wish to grow: his companion for that night told him he would be a father. Of course Triston could have doubted the child be his, but that wasn't something he would do.
And so a lonely, young man had now fathered a bastard - one he at least got to name himself. He decided on Criston, not out of admiration for the actions made by the man who let the dragons loose to dance, but because he did admire his famed skills with the sword. Criston Waters.
He then heard of more death. Lord Yohn Royce was dead. Ser Arthur Dayne was dead. Ser Bonifer Hasty was dead. And again he didn't understand completely what had transpired. He heard of the murder of bastards of Prince Maegor - a name he hadn't thought of in a long time.
He didn't know where to go, who to go to. Storm's End he wasn't sure he would be welcome again; unsure if he still had a place there. Strongsong he wasn't sure if he could return to yet. Afterall would his family believe him if he told them how his upbringing turned out? Would they judge him for still being a squire. His brother Marwyn did arrive in King's Landing, he was sure he would believe him, but he has since left already. And so Triston was alone again.
There was one man, who was very helpful to him before and so he decided on someone to turn to: Grandmaester Pycelle. Not for knowledge of history or medicine, not to send a letter or help him with trade. Just to have someone to speak with.

My (non dominant) F/50s thumb is excruciating when I rotate it, grab anything, try to press down on the buttons of my phone (ie volume controls/power off.) Pick up stuff. I did not fall or drop anything on it. I don’t notice any swelling around the big joint where it joins my hand (that’s where it hurts.) I tried looking it up online but kinda struck out. I don’t notice popping or clicking from the joint, either. I can’t really rest it, either. 🤷♀️
