2025.01.22 23:46 bakergal_18 How do you keep/find mum friends once you're back at work?
Baby is now 7 months old, and I've returned to work (I wish I had taken a year!). I WFH so she's not in daycare yet, but I can't really attend mum groups or baby activities during the week. My mums group has a group chat and they are continuing to catch up which I'm welcome to attend obviously, but it's on a Thursday at 10 AM.. not possible for me.
I have existing friends who are mothers, but honestly not that many. I worry that my baby isn't getting any time hanging around other babies and kids.
Any suggestions - anyone else been in this situation?

Just curious, why is there such a deep hatred towards neural retraining programs in the Reddit communities I see??? Many people just automatically jump towards “snake oil” and “scam” as soon as the idea is presented. One of the Drs I was seeing who’s an MD, not functional medicine practitioner or naturopath said she went from severely bed bound to doing yard work in 3 months using ANS and hydrocortisone. She doesn’t get any kick back or anything from saying this either, due to the fact that she didn’t even say anything about these programs until I asked for her opinion for neural retraining. I’ve also ran across a few others who have healed using these programs, yet they seem to always get hatred or “oh they didn’t have CFS in the first place” type comments. It’s just confusing because any time there’s a recovery story of someone recovering with a supplement, medication, or undiagnosed medical test, we congratulate them and attempt to recreate their success. However, there lies much doubt in much of the community’s mind when it comes to brain retraining. Genuinely curious, how many people have actually tried these programs for longer than 6 months and seen results? How many have failed? Think it may be my next step of action. 2025.01.22 23:46 MilkTeaMoogle Need suggestions for visually pleasing, SHORT games that have a story and some platforming and/dor puzzle/strategy element?
I love Gris, The Last Campfire, Monument Valley, all of these are so beautiful and can also be played in 3-6 hours. I loved Final Fantasy when I was young but it would take me too long nowadays to complete 60 hour games and grinding, I don’t have that much free time anymore.
I also don’t like farming or crafting games, I want something where can get a little lost in the world.

So it's about 6:30 when I was just walking my dog in Greensburg, and I see something moving along the skyline out of the corner of my eye. And I look up and I see a straight line of lights in the sky, solid white not blinking, moving from what I want to say was roughly north to south at a brisk pace. They were definitely not planes, not any running lights I recognize and they were too close to each other. I couldn't estimate the height but I presume they were at plane altitude. Did anyone else see anything? I don't mean for this to be any kind of panic-post or fear mongering, I just want to know. (Yes, I'm a moron and didn't get a video, by the time I realized what was going on they were already above me and I had to get my gloves off)

I saw a comment today from an Indian chartered engineer I follow on LinkedIn for his exceptional chemical engineering knowledge.
The comment was how European engineers would basically develop bad FEED level proposals, bring them to EPCs in India that would then correct the FEED work and deliver high quality detailed engineering the European engineers wouldn't be able to do.
So just curious because I think I've seen the opposite sentiment, how has everyone's experience been with Indian EPCs? I haven't worked with one yet so just curious.
