Honestly it's really tiring. Every single day I look up old CGI stuff like Pixar movies from 1995 - 2004, Jimmy Neutron or literally any CGI stuff. There will be always those people somehow being disgusted and begging for pretty redundant remakes of games and movies. 1. I just feel like if a movie, show or game is already great why remake them? It can get redundant? 2. People are allowed to like shows and TV shows that look just the way they are and 3. The charm.
Honestly I think that there are remakes that are pretty unnecessary like Disney's countless live-action remakes and How to Train Your Dragon live-action remake. Plus I'd rather have a proper evolution of a movie or TV show. It would be jarring to see the first Toy Story having mid-2020s visuals only to go back to the late-90s look of 2 and early-late 2010s look of 3 and 4. Just wrong... Plus I'm pretty sure they'll suck out the unique vibes of Toy Story movies pre-4 and 5 if they were to look like those movies. In my opinion, older CGI looking the way it did kinda gives older movies a unique look and maybe art style and just make older movies more cooler to watch for me.
Reason I brought this up is because of this The Incredibles 1 looks so awful today. | ResetEra

Hi, all.
I am not really new to my career path or workplace, but I am relatively new to my current role. Since I've moved into the role, I've been getting a lot of recognition and positive feedback from upper management as well as leadership opportunities and requests for advice or suggestions from upper management. It is important to note that I do not solicit any of this, I am approached by management to head up special projects that I am not even aware of until approached.
I have a few colleagues who have been in this role for longer than I have who are clearly getting upset with me because I am often asked to give in-the-moment suggestions which then seem to have a pattern of later becoming law without much of a discussion occurring, followed me being given kudos for coming up with it. I was also given information that directly pertained to one of them and asked to not share it, so I did not share it but had assumed that all involved parties were aware. They were not. Finally, I am invited to a LOT of meetings that they are not. It has gotten to the point that they have started to be adamant that I share what is said in meetings. Which, I do understand their concerns.
Obviously, it doesn't make them happy, and now it looks like I keep weird secrets and make decisions over their head. I'm not sure what to do though. I like the extra responsibility and I'm glad that I am respected in my role, I also appreciate the praise to some extent. When I can, I try to advocate to include my peers more and I tell them what I can within reason -- obviously not things I have been specifically asked not to share. I in no way intend to with hold information or make decisions for our entire team.
I think the issue is that I've just got a style unlike theirs and it matches more of what management wants, which was unintentional, it's just how I operate.
What do I do? This is such an awkward position to be in.

So I open my phone to see suddenly my Office 365 has now been replaced by M365 Copilot. This is the biggest steaming pile of BS Microsoft has done yet. So, like I discovered last month when Copilot was rammed into Word, with NO option to remove it. Now, like a parasite, it's eaten the entire office suite. Now, more than ever, I'm considering a total deinstallation of everything Windows and Microsoft related. Way to ruin your customer base with fascist business practices. But I guess this is the "New America" where the rich get richer and the rest of us have to eat their Sh*t and like it.

Old way:
They don’t have the item, okay here’s some customer approved subs. If no subs, sends an automated text asking if there’s anything you can do.
New way:
They don’t have the item, okay here’s 3 different scenarios. Take a photo of the shelf proving you looked in the right spot. Okay did that. Okay look for an employee and ask them (good luck). Still can’t find it. Okay take another picture of the shelf proving it’s not there (?). Oh what’s that? They had substitutions lined up anyway.
Like if you’re gonna micromanage me like this, have the customer go shop for theirselves.
Worst part is shop and pays are a majority of how I earn. I dunno it’s just a bunch of dumb extra steps to me that cost me extra time I don’t wanna spend. For a company I don’t work for, they sure want me to do a lot of different things to control the outcome of what I’m doing.

Didn’t take it apart because I think this thing is around 93-118 years old and still spins perfectly, the bottom screw can now spin on its own weight from me cleaning it. I’ve basically found nothing on the company and other than the stamp on it I’ve not found a trace of this in a catalogue or something like that from the company. As someone who has grown up in a republican community and is now a liberal, I often hear republicans comment on Liberals not being able to "take a joke" for example, if a joke is made about a certain topic according to liberals its not funny and its considered racist or maybe sexist or homophobic based on what the joke was about. To be honest I myself have somewhat dark humor, and would laugh at a joke that may be considered "insensitive" to others. Of course their is a time and a place for such a joke to be made, and if I find myself laughing at one made, it would be one made by a person WITH NO ACTUAL HARMFUL INTNET. I don't fuck with people who use "dark humor" as an excuse for blatant racism, homophobia, sexism, etc. But if someone jokes around in the right setting I can find comedic value in it. Sorry is what I'm trying to say is worded weird or confusing, just would like to know everyones opinion on the topic.
