Got free passes to fan fest at A2 and have never been before, wondering what it is like. We live about 20-30 minutes away depending on traffic so wondering if it would be worth it to go over there in the morning for a bit, watch some of the qualifying and then head home to come back later in the evening. Or would it be better to come in the afternoon?
Not sure what goes on at fanfest and what we would be missing out on. Don't really care to be there for 10 hours though.

Hi I’m 26F. I live in San Francisco currently but grew up in the bay my whole life. I am considering to move to San Diego because I love the warm weather, beaches and I have some family there. I’ve heard a couple of people move from the bay to SoCal and hate it. People say they’re a lot more republican/conservative, but is it really that bad? I’ve gone to San Diego as visitor to see my family and I love it but idk if living there is that much different. Any advice??

Fifteen minutes.
Henry ran down the hallway toward the engineering bay, his legs feeling heavy and awkward and just not moving fast enough. Fifteen minutes was what Vicki had said was needed to get the reactor spun up and the coils of the drive charged so that The Sacajawea could lift off. It was possible that with some ‘manual overrides’ that fifteen minutes could be shaved down.
Henry’s heavy footfalls were accompanied by the quiet chirp of the comm unit’s request for connection to a separate unit. If they weren’t using the secured channels on the stealth protocols, he would have just broadcast straight to Chilly’s comm, but now he had to wait for her to accept his call. He let out a frustrated growl.
Finally reaching the hatch, he leaned against the bulkhead just inside the bay, and reached up to his comm button to cancel the call request. As he looked over to the reactor, he saw the slow building process on the holodisplay readouts that floated over the conical bulk of the reactor’s apex, and he caught his breath and tried to figure out where exactly he should start.
Henry was, as per his training and years of experience, pretty good with the mechanical and engineering basics, and even understood some of what he had been doing when he had lent a hand to Chilly during some of her… well… unconventional engineering endeavors. But this was going to be a dangerous thing, and he really needed the engineer’s guidance.
“Vicki!” Henry called, his head unconsciously angling slightly up toward the ceiling as he watched the readouts on the display, “Chilly’s not answering her comm. Can you raise Enola? See if she can relay for us?”
“Aye, Captain.” Vicki’s sharp words came from the air nearby, and echoed around the bare walls, over the dull hum of the engineering bay.
Henry strode quickly over to the control surface for the reactor, and oriented himself. Chilly was always reconfiguring things as she coded up some new app, or discovered some feature that gave her the information she needed for whatever project she was currently working on. But, there was the slider for the dampeners, and there was the control for the coolant, and that must have been for the field generators on the protective plates, but what kind of units did she have the controls set for? Damn!
“Captain, I have Enola on the line.” Vicki’s voice announced from the air over the reactor before the Captain. She continued, “Piping her through now…”
“Hello? Captain? Are you there?” Enola’s hesitant digital voice came from the air where Vicki’s had so recently emanated.
Henry breathed out heavily in relief and nodded as he answered. “Yes, Enola. I’m right here, and I can hear you fine. Look, is the Chief available? I need to talk to her right now.”
Enola didn't answer right away. When she did answer, she sounded a little sheepish. "I'm sorry, Captain, but she says... Well, she... She has her hands full at the moment. Her words were... a bit more colorful."
Henry couldn't help but quirk a fleeting grin. He could only imagine the curses that must be echoing through the bomber's pressurized areas that Chilly was working on. But if they were going to have any chance of rescuing Wilson, he had to get to work.
"I'm well aware of the Chief's ability to paint a picture with inappropriate words, Enola," Henry's voice changed more to his voice of command as he continued speaking, "but I need you to tell her that I need her to talk me through speeding up the warm-up of our drive."
Again, there was a long lag before Enola's voice came from the air again. "Um, Captain, the Chief says she can't help you right now. She needs to concentrate on what she's doing..."
The muscles around Henry's jaw tightened under his lightly stubbled cheeks, and his right hand clenched into a fist that the Captain only just kept from slamming down on the control surface. He forced himself to swallow, then slowly and carefully let words escape his lips, "We need to rescue Wilson. She needs to help me do that."
Enola's delay in answering didn't keep the Captain's teeth from starting to grind. Finally, when the digital voice came from the air, it sounded apologetic. "Um, the Chief says that she... understands, but that... she's trying to stop our ship from... blowing up..."
A chittering sound came from the hatchway to the corridor. The plates of Vraks' triangular head were quickly paling, and its upper manipulators were rapidly moving in a circular pattern, indicating its anxiety. "A graviton reactor explosion?"
Henry looked over to the Dravitian and frowned. He once again spoke to the air, "Okay. I understand, Enola. Have the Chief call me when she's done."
Enola's voice answered without a lag, "Thank you, Captain. I'll have her contact you. Out."
The insectoid's plates had gotten very pale, and in addition to the motion of its upper manipulators, it was starting to slowly rock back and forth as it stood in the hatchway. The quiet chittering continued.
The Captain sighed and shook his head, unclenching his fingers before running them through his greying brown hair. He took in a deep breath before speaking to the Dravitian, and his words were as calm as he could make them under the circumstances. "What do you need, Vraks? If it's not serious, I just need to start figuring this out, and I don't think I can do that with you upset like that, okay?"
The Captain's words seemed to shake the insectoid out of its mental state somewhat, and the swaying stopped. Its mandibles flexed as it spoke in a quiet voice, "I am sorry, Captain. I... After working with the Chief on several projects, I..."
The Dravitian seemed to be really fighting to finish the sentence, and the way that its voice came out like a small child speaking to an adult that might laugh at it somehow kept Henry from telling it to just get out. He felt the seconds pass, but gave Vraks the chance to get it's words out.
"I have some ideas on how to override the safety protocols and speed up your process... With a higher likelihood of success, I think..." Vraks leaned its torso forward, effectively lowering its head, 'If... if you think I could help..."

I understand it's rushed but this is time-sensitive due to a special occasion for a special person.
Key requirements: - Must be reputable/certified breeder - Hypoallergenic cat (Russian Blue or Siberian) - Available for viewing by end of January - Within reasonable distance of Manhattan - Health certifications/documentation available - That any approval process or paperwork can be completed in this time

You seriously want me to believe that the same guy we saw in the movies was able to fight 6 jedi at once only to be completely clobbered by Obi-Wan by himself? IK he had his lungs crushed by Mace but still. Speaking of which, the jedi basically demigods in this, Anakin was able to break solid rock just by hitting Ventress' lightsaber, tanking a force push, the previously mentioned scene where Mace crushes Grievous' lungs and of course that one scene where he demolishes a bunch of droid without even using his lightsaber which makes me ask: WHERE THE FUCK WAS THIS WHEN YOU WERE SURROUNDED BY DROIDS IN EPISODE II? hey everyone. a few months ago i decided to take my cuticle picking habits seriously. i started using hand cream/vaseline consistently and taping up my fingers when the skin picking was serious. despite all the growth in stopping my bad habits, my skin is still very dry. i started to wonder if this could be a symptom of eczema? i had a bit of eczema a few years ago but the hydrocortisone worked well enough that it has rarely come back, so i tried taping up my hands with hydrocortisone, but it didn’t help too much. this could also be due to low humidity? does anyone have any advice for what other factors could be causing the cracking? i just want my cuticles to grow back 😭

Eu passei por algumas situações em um relacionamento onde fez minha autoestima sumir, não vou entrar em detalhes no que rolou mas a questão é que vi mts fotos (sem roupa) de outras meninas que ele conversava antes de mim e mesmo a gente conversando pra apagar ele n fazia isso e tive que ver várias bcts diferentes toda vez que entrava na galeria, passei por isso umas 5 vezes kk, mas enfim, depois disso eu comecei a me sentir insuficiente, talvez ele preferisse essas minas, eu me comparei demais e hoje tenho vergonha de mim mesma. Eu sei que se alguém que eu tivesse atração me chamasse pra sair (sem ter me visto pessoalmente) eu provavelmente iria enrolar justamente pela vergonha, eu estou tentando buscar ânimo pra mudar isso, tentar melhorar os aspectos que me incomodam.. nunca me senti tão desconfortável comigo mesma como ultimamente.

I need to incorporate overseas for a few reasons, one of the main ones being crowdfunding. The second reason is payment processing.
Kickstarter isn’t available for individuals/companies in India but it’s possible to form a company in one of the countries on a list they published and start a campaign through that entity. I know there are other crowdfunding sites that allow campaigns based in India but i’m only interested in Kickstarter.
I have a few countries in mind, but that’s not what I need help with. I want to know if there are any headaches I may face by doing this.
I intend to raise money in the company incorporated overseas and also pay contractors/employees from the company’s bank account.
I intend to stay in India and not draw any salary/pay from this company.
If you’ve incorporated and currently run/previously ran a company overseas whilst still residing in India, what are some things I should keep in mind?
I know about the compliances in the overseas jurisdiction, it’s pretty clear. What isn’t clear is any regulations that may affect me here in India.
