I just realized that many people who grew up with the Salafi interpretation of Islam are in opposition to yet another fundamental point of Classical Exegesis.
Solomon (a.s.) is often cited as a perosn who commanded the jinn, but this is only a historical miracle and not to be imitated! (Prophets are historical? We are hopefully aware that there is no chance Adam was a historical person, and Moses also doesn't seem likely but okay) The point made is, presumably, even if jinn and demons can be controlled, it musn't be done. But Solomon is a perfect human being, because prophets, like angels,a re now perfect role-models (yeh sure Adam "never made a mistake in his entire life" badum tzz)
In contrast, the key interpretation we find in Classical Islam exegesis, especially Persian poetry has Solomon actualyl losing control of the demons he controlled. The "body" placed on his Throne, even in classical Orthodox exegesis is a punishment by God. A devil or jinn who rules over Solomon's kingdom for a while.
For the poets however, it is a psychological phenomena. When demons take over Solomon's body, it means that Solomon succumbs to his own demonic nature. In other words, Solomon did not "pefectly control the jinn", but failed to do so like many other people. Solomon's control over the jinn is not as much a miracle as it is a story about losing towards the demonic, a form of possession, from which he alter recovers and regains his kingdom (which is his body btw).

2025.01.23 01:12 shooken0282 Can an individual that had bad credit become a registered Mortgage Broker?
As the title suggests, my wife wants a new profession, I suggested mortgage broking as that seems to be quite a lucrative profession with a limited amount of study required.
She had a credit default in 2012 when our business failed, we both shared the debt and cleared this all within a couple of years. As far as we are aware, there is no longer any record of the default on our current credit histories.
Would the FMA have deeper access to her entire credit history, and if the default was discovered would this exclude her from being added to the register?
Don't want to he to start her study and then find she can't be registered. I have read that you can't register in any financial service fields if you have criminal convictions involving dishonesty/fraud etc. but I can't find anything on credit worthiness.

2025.01.23 01:12 fu11m3ta1 Mods on the other female adhd subreddit removed my post for asking for help with suicidal thoughts
I posted to the other adhd subreddit for women and it got removed because apparently my cry for help and resources was not encouraging āin depth discussions on suicide and self harmā. Unreal that mods there would remove a post from someone asking for help who might kill themselves.
I donāt know what to do about this. I have no more adhd medication because my med is on back order. I see my psychiatrist tomorrow to hopefully get prescribed something that is available. Work is miserable because being unmedicated I canāt focus or apply myself, and so all the feelings of a lifetime of failure started rushing back and overwhelming me. I was diagnosed at age 26 and am almost 30 now. I feel so lost and suicidal and I donāt know what to do. I donāt trust 988 because I donāt trust cops or psych ward staff to treat me with dignity. I feel trapped.
