“Captain Masro, we are approaching the last location of the anomaly and we are picking up way more signals.” Masro practically vibrated with excitement from the implications of those signals.
“Analyze them and see if there's a pattern!” This would either be the most unique stellar event ever discovered or Masro and his crew actually found a new species. After a few seconds of waiting the results of the ship's scans came back. The officer who read them could only take a moment to pause and fully take in the results he was reading.
“Captain… I can confirm that we have discovered new sentient life.” Cheers immediately erupted across the bridge. Even if the ones they were about to meet were less than friendly this was still a historic moment that the crew would be remembered for. The officer with the results spoke up once again.
“I can also confirm that they are full space capable based on where the signals come from.” A map was pulled up on the big screen. “The signals are coming from this area of space, well out of the range of even early space age species. Initial scans suggest they have a fleet of sorts waiting around, almost like they… knew we were coming. Captain, these beings might be the most advanced undiscovered species the Constellar League has ever encountered.”
Terrible excitement and nervousness swept the bridge. Even as curious as they were they still, even just a little, feared the unknown. Soon after the commotion all the relevant figures needed for first contact scenarios were on the bridge. After a briefing and quick reconfirmation of the situation everyone simply sat in anticipation for the historic situation they were soon to drop into.
“Dropping out of light speed in 3… 2… 1… now!” The fleet dropped out of light speed and space returned to normal. They then flew full speed ahead to meet up with the fleet they detected. As the alien ships came into view Masro turned and addressed the chosen diplomats.
“Well Ambassador Giba, are you and your new staff ready.”
“Yes we are captain, as ready as we possibly can.”
“Sir, we’ve done a full scan of the fleet but they seem to have heavy jamming technology on their entire fleet so we couldn’t find out much. All we know is that they’ve brought 10 ships and a group of starfighters. Based off of the sizes it seems they have 2 corvettes, 4 destroyers, 3 frigates, and 1 cruiser.”
“Do they seem immediately hostile?” It was amazing they had eyes on a whole new species, but even Masro wasn’t about to die over heat of the moment decisions.
“No sir, their weapons are trained but aren’t primed yet.”
“Well then, establish communications.” Masro then stepped aside and allowed Ambassador Tarn Giba, along with Vesska and Shan. After some exchanges of information packages and translation software a transmission call was initiated.
“Sir, the alien fleet is requesting communications.” Reported the B3 Hyper Tactician Droid ‘06’. He had a boxy build with slopes to the waist. His only really non-humanoid feature was his flat and long head and 3 eyes.
“Put them though, it’s time to finally meet these newcomers.” ordered Admiral Felix Kando. Always thought that my first real mission from crime lords would be to help attack a country or exterminate or betray a rival. Yet here I am making first human contact with literal aliens. I knew this job was too comfy Felix thought to himself. Serving as an admiral for the Latrix Collective isn’t an easy thing to accomplish. You have to not only be a talented and proven commander but also completely loyal to the council. The position itself was supposed to be pretty easy since each crime lord likes using their own forces for most everything. The collective’s navy much like its other armed forces and branches of government were often, while surprisingly well funded, just for show and only for emergencies.
“Greetings, we are an exploratory fleet that has come from the Kingdom of Zalt in the Constellar League. I am Ambassador Tarn Giba and we come in peace.” On the screen was a tall black bipedal humanoid alien with a bright blue pattern of spots on its legs and torso with a tail with three fingers. That's quite an odd creature but it’s also not as weird as I braced myself for.
“Greetings, I am Admiral Felix Kando from the Latrix Collective and I’m happy to hear you have peaceful intentions.”
“If I may ask what is the name of your species, is it perhaps Latrixian? I and the two behind me are Zalt. I am a male while they are female.” asked Tarn.
“I am a human and I am a male of my kind.” The camera panned to the left a little bit. “This is a female of my kind.”
“Excellent, would it be possible for us to speak with your central government to initiate a full meeting?”
“Well no actually, my government has decided to be hands off with the first stages of first contact. They will allow a representative to meet with them at a later date. For now you will be passed off to another human country's government who will take you to their capital.”
This threw Tarn for a loop. What did he mean ‘other human country’? Were they not united as a species or was there some other event to cause this? Either way he had to find out.
“My apologies but you did say we are to be introduced to another human nation, yes?”
“That’s correct.”
“So does that mean your species is in a fracture currently?”
“I mean I guess so, but we’ve never been wholly united as a species before so I wouldn’t really say currently. It's more like we’ve never been united so there is no real species-wide central government, if that's what you're asking?” Felix slightly smiled at how surprised the Zalt ambassador looked.
How could a species achieve large scale space travel and expand enough for there to be at least 2 nations of the same species and not have been united? Just how large is their population? Tarn was simply too curious and had to find out more.
“How many other human nations are there, if any at all?” If this species made it this far without ever uniting then it stands to reason that they might have even more than just 2.
“There are a total of 10 human nations, not including the area of space we are currently in.”
“Why would you not include the country we’re in, is there another alien inhabitant here?” if this was a multiethnic nation this would truly be a wild discovery.
Felix thought about his response before deciding that the truth would come out anyway. The council didn’t give him any instructions to actively hide what they are, and they were usually very open, often advertising that they were the most infamous crime lords in all of human civilization.
“No, the Latrix Collective is solely populated by humans. I’ll be blunt with you, the nation you're in right now isn’t exactly a traditional country, if you could even call it that.” Despite his promise of being blunt Felix still felt like he could feel the entire council judging his every word. He definitely wouldn’t want to offend absolutely anyone who sat there.
“But you are an admiral, which suggests that there is a central authority that governs this region of space. Are you saying that the Latrix Collective is made up of many smaller nations that are in a sort of union?” If the bipedal primate thought that this kind of government was new or something to be embarrassed about then Tarn would have to clear up that notion.
“The Latrix Collective is a collection of crime organizations that have solidified their control over a large area of space. It is ruled by the Leviathan Council which is made up of the bosses of each crime organization that is in the collective. In short we aren’t necessarily considered a separate nation but simply as an area that the most powerful human crime lords collectively call home. The regular people who live in the Latrix Collective are used to it since the collective has been around for 800 years now so it effectively operates like a sovereign nation and a crime organization.” I hope I was clear and respectful enough to not ever have this be brought up later Felix thought.
“Are you allowed to give up such information so freely?”
“Yes actually, they apparently have plans to meet you sometime in the future. For now they see you as a potential threat and want you out of their territory as soon as possible which is why they contacted the American Gemini Republic.” Felix shifted uncomfortably, he knew he had to tell him these things but it still felt odd being an admiral and still being treated like a messenger.
“Ah, so they are, nervous.” It is a nation of criminals I guess.
“They want to be cautious in these unpredictable times.” Felix then turned to 06 who was approaching him.
“Sir, the American fleet is dropping out of Shatter Space.”
“Well then, that concludes our meeting. You will now be handed off to the American Gemini republic. It was good meeting you, goodbye ambassador.” With that Admiral Felix cut off the transmission.
The bridge of the exploration fleet was silent. The interaction was wholly different from any other first contact interaction they remember learning about.
“Well these humans certainly must be an intensely individualist species if they have never been united before.” Shan commented. “And to have an entire section space transformed into a new nation by a group of crime lords is practically unheard of. They really must be powerful.”
“They are indeed a strange species but nonetheless they are very advanced as well. Their ship designs are, of course, very alien but also quite well armed. The weapons on those ships are very similar in look to some league navy vessels.” Vesska couldn’t get a great look at the guns but just by the size of them she could tell they packed a punch. It frankly scared her a little bit knowing that those were the ships of criminals.
The American fleet then jumped in nearby. The fleet consisting of around 20 ships made its way over to the alien fleet. They then called the Latrix fleet.
“I am Vice Admiral Merluva and I have come to escort the alien fleet.” Troy couldn’t stand to see any members of the so called “Latrix Navy” to be serving those scum was unbefitting of a member of the military. He still had respect for members of system defence fleets but those who went out of their way to please the council and become admiralty for the Latrix Collective were despicable in his eyes.
“They’re all yours, please follow the exact route out as you came in. We wouldn’t want any, misunderstandings.” Felix gave a slightly arrogant glare to the vice admiral. They all always thought that just because he served the Leviathan Council that he wasn’t as good a commander as they were. In reality they were only half right in the case of some of the other admirals but he and many others could probably best many of the confederacies “top guys”.
“Noted, pirate.” Troy then cut off the transmission. He then called the alien fleet and ordered them to fall into his formations center. He and the combined fleet then promptly jumped all the way back to the American Gemini Republic capital of Amercanzia while Admiral Felix made the jump back to Latrix.

We were dating for a month, he went to LA with his family for the funeral and I am a big fan of Halloween. I went out with my girlfriends to celebrate since I was in my city alone.
He was anger with me for going out even though I was updating him about everything that was happening. Apparently it’s incorrect to celebrate Halloween if your boyfriend is in another city at a funeral that you weren’t invited.
I still don’t think I was on the wrong. I never met her before and it was my favorite holiday.
What’s your opinion?

Well, I've been thinking about this a lot. And have long pondered this.
- Since any PSU can support any motherboard, CPU and graphics card, And
- Any CPU, MB and GPU etc can run off ANY PSU.
That also means, that the cables carrying those voltages to each pin on the input side on the mb/GPU side, are the same exact specifications across all PSUs. Further, the fact that cable extensions work seamlessly across all PSUs the same way on any motherboard incl CPU, GPU or other inputs, also goes to show that the voltages, signals and input/output are same across each pin, whether on the PSU side or on the 24pin MB/8 PIN EPS, or any combination of GPU connectors.
So, with all that in consideration, why is switching cables between power supplies such a thing?
Is it heat draw? In that case, cables from a higher wattage PSU should work fine on a lower wattage PSU, right?

Looking to upgrade the sound system on my 2017 Rav 4 hybrid xle. I will be using an old system I’m taking out of my old car.
Headunit: alpine ilx-w670 Amp: Kenwood Kac 8105d Subwoofer: alpine r2-w10d4 Cabin speakers front: Some old alpine type s competent speaker system. I forgot the model number Cabin speakers rear: alpine dm-65g
Will these all work in the hybrid? I know crutchfield states I shouldn’t go over a 350w rms.
Anybody have any experience with this?

It's annoying
For example when I pause a youtube video and quickly go to another app, when I return to youtube it refreshes the app and my phone takes me to youtube home. I then have to find the video again etc.
It's for all the apps, it doesn't save anything
Google search, I go back and it's refreshed I have to search again
It's when I leave the app then return, it's refreshed
