Hi catholicconverts
I am unsure the policy for Orthodox Christians receiving sacraments in Rome. I stopped communing in my Orthodox Church a while ago because I started doubting the claim that all Catholics were hell bound, also seeing rebaptism for Roman Catholics become the norm is a little disappointing.
Sort of in limbo, just curious if I could attend confession in Roman Catholic without converting? Not too worried about what Constantinople says since by believing that Rome has valid sacraments, I’m a heretic by default.
Just curious how that works. Currently communing in an Old Catholic Utrecht parish.
Weird situation but hope some could shed light.

Abstract
Current food production systems are causing severe environmental damage, including the emergence of dangerous pathogens that put humans and wildlife at risk. Several dangerous pathogens (e.g., the 2009 A(H1N1) Influenza Virus, Nipah virus) have emerged associated with the dominant intensive food production systems. In this article, we use the case of the emergence and spillover of the Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza virus H5N1 (hereafter, H5N1) to illustrate how intensive food production methods provide a breeding ground for dangerous pathogens. We also discuss how emerging pathogens, such as H5N1, may affect not only ecosystem health but also human well-being and the economy. The current H5N1 panzootic (2020–2024) is producing a catastrophic impact: the millions of domestic birds affected by this virus have led to significant economic losses globally, and wild birds and mammals have suffered alarming mortalities, with the associated loss of their material and non-material ecosystem services. Transformative actions are required to reduce the emergence and impact of pathogens such as H5N1; we particularly need to reconsider the ways we are producing food. Governments should redirect funds to the promotion of alternative production systems that reduce the risk of new emerging pathogens and produce environmentally healthy food. These systems need to have a positive relationship with nature rather than being systems based on business as usual to the detriment of the environment. Sustainable food production systems may save many lives, economies, and biodiversity, together with the ecosystem services species provide.
Introduction
Current rates of anthropogenic global change are extraordinarily high, and alarming for the first time in human history. Humans are causing severe environmental damage to satisfy people's needs and consumption patterns, and to increase profits. In particular, over recent decades our food production methods have been modified and intensified, resulting in critical land use change and over-exploitation of resources; the technification and intensification of food production is increasing worldwide. More than one third of the land on our planet has been transformed and is currently used for livestock or crop production. Environmental alterations associated with these production methods facilitate the emergence of dangerous pathogens that put human and ecosystem health at risk. Emerging pathogens represent a serious threat to biodiversity and ecosystem functioning as he transformative action required to prevent pathogen emergence or re-emergence.

Anyone else have worries about being a “monster” (quotations because the idea of being a monstebad person is subjective) and then have visually vivid memories of doing something that you deem unforgivable despite having no previous memory of doing something like that?
I feel like I’m stuck in a loop of “there’s no way I did that- wait did I?” “I probably didn’t but what if?” “I lack evidence that would disprove/prove the memory but what if there’s still a chance it happened?” “What if I did do something terrible and forgot/I’m in denial? I need to confess in case it’s true and I got away with it.” And the more I dwell on it the more detailed it becomes. I also find as soon as I’m comfortable with not having absolute certainty the anxiety amps the memory and doubt back up again and I’ll spend days ruminating over it and no matter how much reassurance I have it never helps for that long and if anything it makes it worse.

We are asylum seekers who entered the U.S. legally with valid visas. Based on our asylum application, we have (EADs). Both my wife and I are working legally as W-2 employees. We have no criminal records, not even traffic tickets, I heard that ICE is looking for illegal or undocumented immigrants , What is our current situation? Our asylum application has not been decided yet, and we haven’t had our interview. Are we illegal?

I live in UT and I am currently on unemployment benefits. I've filed for four weeks and I've been applying like crazy.
I have a third interview with a preschool tomorrow over zoom, but I am DREADING it. I don't want this job. It's mostly sales and marketing, something that I've never liked doing nor plan to do in a more permanent career path.
In UT, I can lose my unemployment benefits if I "refuse (any) suitable work," and from what I can find, unsuitable would be a lower pay, longer commute, skills and/or experience not matching up with the position, etc.
The commute would be nearly exactly the same as my last job. I have a decent amount of matching qualifications. And though I haven't worked with tiny kids before, I have worked with teens for the past two years so in a way, childcare is not that far removed from the realm of possibilities for me.
I'm just not sure what to do. I want to send an email and tell them I won't be at the interview because I feel like it's not a good match for my skills, or tell them I'm sick and reschedule for one week from now, after I've had a chance to hear back from a different job opportunity that I'm more excited about, while keeping the door open in case that doesn't pan out.
So internet strangers, what do you think?

 | Hi all, Has anyone encountered this issue? Car model is fiesta 1.6, 2012. Last week the engine light was on and scan showed P1038, o2 sensor circuit high voltage, car drives just fine but I brought it to mechanic anyway and changed the o2 sensor but then yesterday the light turned on again and scan showed the same code P0138. What is the possible cause for this? Is the new o2 sensor bad? I'm planning a flying trip to a remote area and require to bring 100LL in jerry cans to meet fuel requirements. Are there any concerns with flying with jerry cans? I think my greatest fear is the static build up that could occur with the cans. Would it be advisable to modify the cans and have a wire contacting the fuel inside to discharge any static? And leave the tanks contacting the wings for a couple minutes before refuelling?

I’ve got a 16 foot tall by 10 foot wide fireplace we are doing wood slats, 2 inch slats, half inch spacing. This is all fine but the fireplace framing is out over and inch in plumb on face and side. Do I have any hopes of achieving the perfect reveals and spacing without cladding this entire wall?

I finally had an endless run last more than a couple hundred levels and I'm on floor 2000 now. I'm focusing on farming egg tickets and have met with a reasonable amount of success, but I'm also doing 10+ rerolls on every floor and spending more time rerolling than battling. So my question is: is it generally worth it to try to collect tickets as random rewards, or is it better to power through as quickly as possible and only get the premium tickets every 50 floors?
