2025.01.23 03:30 Marvelago More Deep Trouble Ideas
Two years ago, I thought of some ideas for Deep Trouble stories and posted those ideas on this subreddit (I called them sequel ideas, but now I call them what if ideas). Well, I thought of some more ideas that I would like to share with you. Again, these are very rough ideas and I just thought of them recently. With that out of the way, here are my what if ideas for Deep Trouble.
What if at one point, the Cassandra had some problems and broke down before Billy and Sheena could come to visit? Well, they wouldn’t be able to go visit Dr. D. for the summer, but they can go to a camp with a water theme. And I know just the place for it: Camp Cold Lake. Sheena can be the main character in it and Della would attempt to make Sheena her buddy. Maybe Sarah Maas can also return and along with Billy, she would try to help Sheena fight Della.
In another story, the Deeps could travel to the Arctic where Dr. D. would try to study fish that can adapt to the cold. But when they get there, they would have an encounter with the Tizheruk, the sea serpent of the Arctic Waters. It would bash into the Cassandra and cause some damage to it, prompting Dr. D. to radio for help. But help would take a while to come and while they wait and try to keep warm, the Deeps would have to keep an eye out for the Tizheruk, unsure of what it would do next.
In The Art of Goosebumps, I saw that early concept art for the cover of Ghost Beach featured a tidal wave with the face of a ghostly old man and one drawing also featured it with hands. And I have to say, that looks so cool! While this entity ended up not being the antagonist for Ghost Beach, it does have potential to be one for a Deep Trouble story. It can be a spirit living in uncharted waters surrounding an uncharted island. It wouldn’t allow strangers to come to his territory and it would get angry at Billy, Sheena and Dr. D. for doing so.
And those are the ideas I thought of for Deep Trouble. What do you all think?

So, here’s the thing. I generally don’t care what anyone does on Instagram, even if they’re my closest friends. But something happened recently that got me curious.
She’s about a year older than me and recently moved to a new state because she got a job there. We rarely used to talk before, but over the last 4–5 months, we started talking more because she would text me occasionally when she lived near my apartment. I was really happy for her when she got the job, and we both agreed we’d celebrate once she moved since I love her new city as well.
So, I finally visited her, and she spent most of the time with me. The weird or funny thing is, I didn’t see many Instagram stories from her during that time—maybe just one or two. But when I checked her highlights later, she had way more stories with me than I had seen. This made me wonder what’s going on, lol.
After I came back to my city, we both got busy with our lives. We still share reels, though. Recently, she told me she was sick because of the cold weather in her new city and that she hadn’t gone out since the last time she went out with me. But then I saw another story (which was visible to me) of her at a restaurant. I didn’t see anyone else in it, but later I noticed on her profile that she had more stories from that place that weren’t visible to me.
Now, I’m not her boyfriend or anything, so I don’t care that much, but I’m just curious—why would someone do that? Lol. (For context, I’m 24, and she’s 25.)

Working in corporate is actually insane. I know there are companies that encourage work life balance, and don’t make you feel anxious when you log off around 5-6 pm after working 8+ hours straight. I know companies exist that really don’t want you to be overworked or constantly be on the go and allow you to have time to think and do work in good quality. Am I making this up in my head as wishful thinking? Most likely but in case I’m not let me know if ya’ll have heard of any or if they’re hiring!

 | Had a tree surgeon come round this morning to take a look at some of the other trees in our garden and he mentioned that these two trees here are invasive species and that we could remove them if we wanted to because they tend to have invasive root networks that can affect plumbing/foundations. These two trees are pretty established and create some privacy between our house and the neighbours house. The neighbours have built their deck super close to our back fence. We would also be sad to see such established trees go from the garden as we like trees! How bad are these trees? Writing to set intention.
Ytd was great, went to site for work then went skating, slept a lot.
Today going back to office, faced with a project that may feel painful, i may lose the project, i will go into depression again, it'll be so hard for me.
Wife was annoying as usual, last night she vented about lack of motivation of our son. I treated it as my duty and timed her annoyance - half hour, and went to sleep immediately afterwards. It was much bearable.
Ongoing lessons:
Observe procrastination, rest but come back
Sleep plenty
Health first
Baby steps, positive loops
Stand firm, cant save everyone

2025.01.23 03:30 JiggleProfessor Skeleton Crew made me feel like a kid again.
I just finished the last episode of Skeleton Crew and this plucky little show wowed me! I had avoided reviews and general opinions of the show before starting it, so I went in blind but open to it. The first episode didn’t do a-lot to keep me watching. But I did anyway. As the series went on, I cared more and more about the story it was telling and the characters involved. I got sucked in. The finale was tense but rewarding. I maybe a sucker for coming of age stories and pirate stories, as well. But I finished the show with the same giddy feeling I felt as a kid watching the prequels or playing Battlefront on my PS2 when it came out. Man, Star Wars can really make you feel something when it is great! I loved it!
