First time DM here (first campaign, I’ve dm’ed a couple one shots for practice). Is it necessary to put a spoiler warning on here? I’m new lol
My party did the Raiders Camp chapter last session (chapter 2). It was a total crap fest, they failed deception checks and got captured almost immediately, and with their chance to escape, the rogue decided to try and infiltrate the main tent when Mondath is with Cyanwrath and Rezmir to get intel. This went poorly. I haven’t navigated a PC death as a player or as a DM yet so I was nervous and tried to give him every opportunity to get out. He finally took the bait and made it out, then the Druid also tried to go in for more intel instead of fleeing. This also went poorly. They all made it out, though I do feel like I bent a fair number of game mechanics. I was glad to see the party so immersed (read: stressed) but I’m worried about how this encounter will affect their decision making when I try to send them back that way for the next chapter (chapter 3, the hatchery). I’m don’t see a way to plant the hint that the camp might be deserted. How could I approach it that would convince them they HAVE to go back? All advice is appreciated!

Hi! I'm newish to reddit and mostly lurk, but I'm having trouble with my cat and I could really use advice. Sorry for the long post I do not know how to be consise.
I have two cats, Wilson and Lucy. Wilson is 10 and Lucy is 5.5. This is really about Lucy. She has a grade IV heart murmur, anxiety, and, as of 6 days ago, bladder stones. She weighs about 9lbs but could stand to lose about half a pound (my vet described her as delightfully round and wasn't overly concerned about her weight).
The situation at hand: Because of the bladder stones I've had to rather abruptly switch from free feeding dry food (kirkland maintenance) to timed meals of the hills urinary prescription diet. She should be eating about 9oz of wet food daily based on the prescription, but she's currently eating about 4oz. I give her a half 3oz can in the morning and another half can in the evening. I've started trying to give her a quarter can either ~3 hours before or ~2 hours after her evening meal (when i get home from work or before bed), which has worked okay, but I can't feed her every 2 hours, it's impractical. If I give her more than 1.5oz she doesn't finish it, and this food is too expensive to throw away.
Because I have Wilson in the house I can't leave it out for her to nosh on (he's a greedy boy he'd love to eat it all), because of the bladder stones I can't switch up flavors or styles or brands of food, or go back to dry food (there is a dry food hills urinary, but she's refusing all dry food currently including treats, so I hesitate to buy a large bag only to have it go to waste).
Does anyone have any advice, or do I truly just need to wait this out until she becomes hungry enough?
As a disclaimer: Yes I am working with a vet, but this got diagnosed Saturday at 2am, so its been a long an anxious week and i dont need to call my vet anymore than necessary

Hi everyone. I have a deadly allergy to shellfish and also new allergies to hibiscus, honey, sap and arugula that have emerged in the last 3 years.
I waited months to meet with a highly-recommended allergist, and it went well.
He did a skin test, extensive blood work, ruled out MAST cell disorder, said I might have exercise-induced allergy, and he said I might explore Zolair (sic). He said my diagnosis right now is "a fog" because multiple blood tests did not even show evidence of allergies, but of course, I do have food allergies as I've had multiple anaphylaxis episodes from eating shellfish or even cross-contamination. He said he would never allow me to do an eating test with shellfish in his office based on that history.
It's been a few months and I think I should book a follow-up... but...
What should I try to accomplish / expect working with an allergist?
The allergies themselves are incurable. He called the blood tests inconclusive. Yet it seems odd not to have a medical specialist involved when I am living with this relatively new issue that is life-threatening.
So, any ideas out there from folks who've worked with allergists before, what I should be expecting from working with one, etc. ?
