The name we are considering for a child is extremely uncommon - it doesn’t show up on any of the US social security name list data, meaning it is given to less than 5 children per year in the US. (Not able to say the name for privacy reasons).
I’m from an ethnic and religious minority group. The name is an established and known name in our community. However, other names from our heritage that we’ve considered have been given to anywhere from 20-200 kids per year. This specific name is our favorite but it’s for some reason less common than the others, with less than 5 kids given the name.
Would this put you off the name at all? For some reason it kind of worries me. I can’t explain exactly why. But I love the name so much. For reference we also have an extremely distinct, rare last name.

I used the Po Tat (Macau style Portuguese egg tart) filling recipe from Kristina Cho’s cookbook, Mooncakes and Milk Bread, and the rough puff pastry recipe from Claire Saffitz’s book, Dessert Person. I’m not sure if it’s the filling recipe or if it’s my poor technique, but the custard always gets a bit wrinkly once it cools down. It still tastes great and the texture isn’t noticeably off, but there’s definitely room for improvement.

Time to back up the truck on BEP or am I missing something?
The increased power demand narrative is being pushed a lot, but BEP is absolutely on sale right now. They are also in the nuclear space via their stake in Westinghouse. BEP is an out of favor, contrarian, value, and high yield way to play the hot trends. Someone change my mind. (Already tracking political/interest rate headwind and reduced hydro output risk)
Disclosure: Toeing in for a week. I currently only own 7 shares, bought 2 at the low today.

Skims used to have beautiful models of all sizes. On SOME of the products there is the option to “see additional sizes” but why cant they just include those models in the thumbnail? I also feel like skims should have more those that would flatter mid to plus size bodies.

Hi all i bought a Stecs max throttle from vkb Canadian partner website late September and i am getting issue with the connection. I keep loosing the usb connection with the slightest vibration or movement in the cable i am pretty sure it's not from the cable as it work with my gladiator no problem wondering if anyone had issue with that also ? kinda bummed throttle was quite expensive and it has been sitting on a mount since day 1 and got about 100h on it.

One of her friends recently told me and I should’ve known better because she talks about all of her friends gossiping about them and telling us things that aren’t our business. It was like a switch went off in my head.
Now I don’t trust her and am upset. She keeps asking me to hangout but I make up excuses. She’s even the type who never grew up maturity wise since high school and can’t accept any responsibility or criticism so it’s pointless saying anything.
I told my friend who is her mutual friend and told her what she was saying about her too. She agreed with me but said it’s pointless confronting her so just don’t tell her anything personal and keep the friendship light.

FWIW, I installed the new replacement to Nvidia Experience, it came with the latest update for my 1080Ti. While it’s an older card without ray tracing, etc, the update massively improved how smooth the frames are for Moria. Just a suggestion for those whom only update their drivers on occasion (I do it pretty frequently so this must be a fairly recent release).

2025.01.23 04:12 7OmegaGamer Why can’t we keep our competitive drive signatures?
The drive signatures are, in my opinion, the single coolest customization option that’s been added to the game in the entirety of OW2. They’re displayed very prominently for all other players at the beginning of the match, so it feels to me like it’s a much more impactful form of customization and personal expression than some others. I love my purple flames a lot, and fought tooth and nail to level the signature up all the way during the last drive! I also think the ones for this coming season’s drive look pretty cool too!
But why are the customization options that we have to actively earn the only ones that get taken away from us after a short time? If the argument is that they should be exclusive, the signatures already have FOMO since they’re only available to obtain on the specific weekend of that drive and have unlockable tiers. For me and I’m sure many other players, the signatures (andthe comp points of course) were a cool and worthwhile incentive to play the game a lot more than usual during the drive. That makes it sting pretty badly that the signatures just get permanently yanked away from us, all the effort just gone up in smoke.
Please Overwatch team, let us keep our signatures
