Continuing on with my series of fun finds from random liquor stores, I found this in NE DC after working a long service.
This is unreal value and for a wine that is 6 years old, it is incredibly fresh and alive—I’d wager this could go for another 2-3 years. The nose is elegant and complex with fruits like raspberry, blackberry, dark cherry, and cassis; tertiary notes of river rock, dried basil, and a touch of meatiness (it is 20% Syrah). On the palate it is fresh and earth-forward with stoney minerality and juicy red fruit. Classic sangiovese but has a playfulness that really enhances the wine. Acid is medium and body is medium. Does well at about 55°. I’m a bit blown away by the QPR here. At $13 this may just be my new house red.

Hi! I've posted a few times about my rehomed rat Tulip, and after he going to the vet and now being infection free I've tried to do introductions again
Today I had all 4 of my rats in the bathroom so they could be introduced in the bathtub, ( my go to) and I had Tulip ( the rehomed one) I had only gotten to put Nibble ( my biggest rat) into the bathtub and immediately they are aggressively fighting and squealing. I freaked out cause my others didnt do this when introducing nad put my hand in to stop it, and I got bit kinda hard. So then i get a towel and physcially seperate them. I had tulup back in her acge and went to go put the other 3 back in the cage but nibble is like squealing and now so scared. Idk what to do. I put nibble back into the cage with the others but shes now kind of aggressive and attacking anyone who goes near her.
Pls help :/ idk what to do

I have limited funds, totaling less than 15 lakh, which includes everything in my family.
I want to make a career transition into the IT field, not specifically for money, but because I'm passionate about IT. I was learning HTML and CSS, but due to my non-IT background and my current age of 29, I thought it best to ask here as well. I attended many institutes; some even promised guaranteed placements. They said they would take a 6-month course duration. Only one instructor recommended that I not pursue IT due to my age and gap. He said the program takes 9 months to complete full-stack web development with the MERN stack.
Is it possible to get placed at age 29 with a gap as well if I invest my 9 months? They also mentioned the company has a 2 to 3-year bond, so I'm struggling to cope. What should I do? I need suggestions and am feeling really lost.

Judgement free zone here please but just want to get this off my chest. I have a child under 1 and horrible contamination OCD.
Like I cannot wrap my head around what women (or men) are expected to do daily when out with our babies. A few things that just give me the ick that other parents do not seem to mind:
- Being fine with a kid getting as dirty as humanely possible and then just bringing all those germs in the car seat. Then never washing the fabric on said car seat ever again so kid gets dirty everyone they sit in it.
- Having to bring your stroller or baby carrier into a public bathroom. Especially a doctor’s office. Hospital? forget it.
- Being fine with changing your child anywhere. I have seen some people on here say they change their child on a public floor when there is no changing table. Don’t even get me started on the nasty changing tables that I don’t think have ever been sanitized once in a public bathroom.
- My baby bathes daily. Especially after being out in public spaces. I see parents that give their kids a bath like once a week.
- Grocery shopping - putting my child in that little seat thing in the cart that I know has never been cleaned even once since leaving the factory. It’s a no for me. Ew. Unless there’s some cover.
- Big toys or “play places”. Especially at fast food places. You know whatever is on that thing is now on your child and also will be entering your vehicle via their car seat.
Is anyone else dealing with this being a new parent? Or even just being a mom (or dad)? Do you have similar situations that you hate dealing with?

I work in real estate investments that deals in single family homes throughout the US. We have a portfolio of 1,100-1,200 homes. The way I see it there are 4 components of my job.
Acquisitions: completing due diligence (locating, scheduling, creating exhibits based on final reports) for all bulk acquisitions. Liaising/point of contact with agents for one off open market deals. Could be in due diligence for 1-60 properties at a time
Current portfolio management: while we work with SFHs, we do have mostly (80%) NNN leases. But I do handle (schedule and multi quote) 10-20 large repair requests a month that are related to plumbing, hvac, structural, electrical
Renewal management: we have longer leases, 5-7 years. But I manage the renewals for the portfolio meaning I populate the renewal confirmation documents or work on due diligence for exiting tenants (full home inspections and repair follow up).
Dispositions: anything that doesn’t renew, we sell (we work in a specific industry). I work to locate agents, manage the vacant houses, request quotes to get the homes ready for market (and sometimes they are quite extensive repairs). I think it’ll be 40-50 homes we end up selling this year.
Luckily I do have some direct support under me, a report who manages the turning on and off of the utilities and the hoas and rental applications with cities. And we did bring on someone to help with the acquisitions mainly but I truly think the 4 components of my job could all be their own position. My manager (vp of ops) deals more so in the bulk purchase contracts with the clients we serve but does help out/advise in my day to do. Is this too big of a work load for one person? I’ve fully grappled with maybe I’m just not capable too. I just feel so rundown by the end of the day the work literally does not stop for 8 hours and I very rarely leave the office for lunch and mostly eat at my desk which is company culture.

Starting at about six months, my son will fall asleep easily but for the first 2 to 3 hours is up every 30 minutes to get settled before getting down for the night. I don’t get it. Bedtime at 6:30 and sleeping by seven no problem but is up every 30 minutes sometimes can take it till 9 o’clock to finally settle for the night . What am I doing wrong?
