I FINALLY got my prisms after years of trying to get a diagnosis. Like became completely homebound and lost my job and complete missed ages 26-29. So getting a diagnosis was a big deal!
Because of how sick I am from BVD I wear contact lenses to correct my vision and my glasses are only prism.
After a week with my prism/contact combo I wake up with a stye and now I can’t wear my contacts for two weeks and so I can’t wear my prisms.
Plus it freaking hurts lol 😂

I apologize if this is the wrong sub. I'm going to post it elsewhere to hopefully get some help.
Where do you go when you fry your brain on drugs, and make it to where you can't take care of yourself? Brother has exhausted all his options and burnt all his bridges. He is in his late twenties. Not a typical addict in the sense that he has one thing he's struggling with. He will invent drugs that don't exist. He will find grill cleaner and god knows what else and sit in the garage and huff it. Multiple facilities and agencies, private and state, have been in contact with him multiple times and are just a part of the revolving door. He has burnt all his bridges. Family is no longer an option.
I can't find a long term or permanent care facility for my brother. I suppose if there was one...maybe we wouldn't have the homeless population we have? I don't know. He needs a facility that he can be admitted to and he can never leave, because he will never get better. No one seems to understand that. There is no rehabilitative therapy for him, even if available, he is literally a lost cause. He refuses to hold himself accountable. No self awareness. He needs a long term care facility. Or are we just waiting for death via homelessness or jail?

2025.01.23 06:57 SpecialistBlend85 If you drink huel for breakfast (pre-workout), what protein do you consume post-workout?
For me, I can't workout on an empty stomach when I wake up. So normally, if not doing huel, I would have like some scrambled eggs w/ bacon + 1 slice of toast for breakfast, prior to working out. Then after workout, I'd have either fairlife or premier protein shake.
But say you switch the eggs/bacon/toast for a huel powder shake, then having the fairlife/premier protein shake post workout seems.... i don't know, overdoing it? Maybe I'm looking at this the wrong way.

Hi all! So I've been bite-off free for 20 days on 9 of 10 nails, and I actually have a few nails that have grown pretty long! I'm past the point of wanting to legitimately bite any of them off anymore (after 26 years 🥹), but now that there is actual nail growth, I'm catching myself accidentally picking or nibbling at the jagged edges and corners now to "just clean them up" I tell myself, which has led to some peeling/ loss of length on the corners of a couple nails.
I've found in the last few days that filing at the jagged edges has slightly tamed my urge to fuss with them, but that was after I finally bought a nice metal file tonight after using an old crappy metal one attached to a 7 year old nail-clipper, lol.
I guess I'm asking if filing is okay with first-time growing nails that are thin and feel sharp as hell for how short they are. And what's the best type of file if I'm not trying to legit reshape my nail. I just need something smooth to get rid of the annoying jagged corners on my nails while I finally try leave them alone. I have never had a millimeter of a finger nail until this point in my life, so I don't really know the ins and out of making my nails actually grow, let alone grow HEALTHY, and I don't want to ruin them before they even get a chance!
Emery board just seems way too coarse in my experience (I use that sh!t to sharpen my pencils lol), and I kind of enjoy how smooth and accurate the metal ones are, but I've heard they're more used for fake nails??

I probably played The New Abnormal anywhere from 1 thousand to 2 thousand times since it came out. My favorite songs are the obvious choices.
”At the Door” has always been a song I have liked, but also never look forward to. I never order it off the album a la carte like I do with — pick your poison — Selfless, Sundays, Mets, etc.
But tonight … walking my dog along the snowy bayou … no one else out at this hour … halfway through the song (again, a song I literally may have heard two thousand times before) … I was like, WHAT THE FUCK IS HAPPENING RIGHT NOW.
It’s right around the 3:05 minute mark that it sorta starts — and one thousand percent STARTS with the synth thing at 3:22 …. and last to the end of the song.
OMFG!!!!!!
The final two minutes of At the Door. What can I say? It’s not about “liking it.” It’s a journey of emotions that is facilitated by music but isn’t relegated to JUST song. The final two minutes of feel like they exist as a portal for portal’s sake. Like … the experience of the “passing over” or passing through … is the experience.
Is this what other people hear in jazz at night clubs when they close their eyes and nod to themselves? Or for people who turn on classic musical and experience god.
Anyway, I don’t feel like I’ve captured what an incredible experience is on offer with At the Door. It’s less a song. And more a piece of music.
That’ll have to do for now.

She looked super confused for a sec, I thought it was cuz she saw her reflection in the mirror. Anyway, she sat down on the floor for a asec, then jumped. And when she jumped up, there was a massive poo left on the floor by her. Like what. the hell just happeneD?
