Hi my wife and I just moved out here around parkway central. It's a really difficult change for me at least. I've only met 1 neighbor and he was super nice.I wave when I'm shoveling snow or taking the cans down or whatever and most of the people just give me a dirty look. Where I used to live we knew our neighbors well and we looked out for each other. And I miss that, so hopefully it's just anxiety and it'll pass. Oh and you guys don't shovel your sidewalks when it snows? People were looking at me like I was crazy

I have a friend, we're the same age. I have noticed recently she's been a bit cold, but we've both just got on to a pretty stressful schedule and she wakes up at 5 a.m to train. Tbh, I've liked her for a while, but I don't want to say anything because I like what we have and I'm fine with that. For context, I was raised by a dad who went through british boarding schools, so my way of making friends is teasing them and mucking about, because that's how my dad shows affection and I'm not sure if that's a thing that people find particularly friendly. Essentially, my question is: do you think we're still mates?

I 26F have been dating my boyfriend 25M for almost a year now, but the beginning of our relationship was rocky. My boyfriend is a very outspoken person. He has his opinions and it’s really hard for him to sway on it. One of the conditions we had in our relationship was that we would not go to the club alone .if we wanted to go to the club, we will go together. I told one of my closest friends that she thought that it was weird And that he was controlling.
So they finally met one day and the dinner went good. He paid for everybody’s meal and then the topic of the club came up. My friend told my boyfriend that I could do whatever I want and he didn’t agree because we were in a relationship and made the decisions together now and he also said “women that are in relationships who go to clubs alone are hoes.” And she said “oh so I’m a hoe” (shes not in a relationship .) and my boyfriend looked her dead in her face and said yes, so they both start arguing blowing up with each other and in the moment I broke up with him right there and then because I loved my friend, and I felt that he was disrespectful, but the next day my mom invited him over because she knew him and liked him and wanted to know what happened and he apologized about his behaviour and taking it too far. He also explained that he was upset that I was taking her side and not sticking up for him about what we agreed on which he’s right I didn’t.
He apologized to my friend but she wasn’t having it. She did not accept his apology and I wanted to give him another chance so she started avoiding me and then eventually told me that I didn’t protect her and decided to end the friendship . this happened a few months ago and ever since that day my boyfriend has gotten along with my other friends. It’s never gotten to that point.
so am I the asshole for giving him another chance and in return losing my friendship because of it.

I'm a filmmaker and considering moving to Australia, having read recent statistics that 80% of Australian filmmaking is for domestic productions (unlike UK where we basically just make films greenlit, written and funded by America)
What is the best city for me to pursue a career as an indie filmmaker (writer, director and producer)? I also have extensive experience in AD work, editing and production management, so will also pursue this as an additional income stream.
I've heard good things about Sydney and Melbourne but Google is no longer a reliable source of information so seeking advice from people with firsthand experience.

Let me remind you, over 60% of American Indians voted for haris, while only 32 voted for trump.
Yet no one cares, instead I get called a racist bigot and that "I got what I voted for".
What about Latino men? Over 45% of them voted for trump, and this number was DOUBLE from the last election, where only 20% voted for him. An Indian woman as a candidate single handedly drove 25% of Latino men to vote for a racist, misogynistic bigot.
So where's all the posts calling all Latino men racists? Nope, nothing, lol.
So please, respectfully, shut the fuck up. I don't want to be lectured by some Indian who doesn't know shit about how I "got what I deserve".
