Advice needed! My friend (let’s call her Abby) has been renting a house in Texas with her boyfriend (Bart) and her two-year-old child. They’re renting from Bart’s friend’s (Lauren’s) mother ((Grace). . They’ve all known each other for years but they have only been renting from them for about a year a little more maybe. When they first agreed that they were gonna live there, Grace did not want to have any contracts or leases for some reason. I think it’s because she’s aware of the fact that Abby is a sex worker and has a fear that she will somehow be at risk legally if Abby ever got in trouble for prostitution. (Personally I find this fear irrational and her course of action to prevent it illogical).
Grace has also insisted that Abby and Bart are not to get their mail delivered there. I don’t know if they have or have not followed that direction- I know they do get some things mailed there but no utilities are in their names - everything is in Graces name.
They pay rent weekly- about six or $800 a week I can’t remember. They’ve always paid rent pretty regularly, but when they’re a little bit behind on rent Lauren (the landlady‘s daughte boyfriend‘s friend) comes over uninvited with her child and sometimes her boyfriend and just stays for the weekend or until they’re caught up. She says her mother, Grace, is not doing well- she’s sick. She’s got water around her organs and that the rental agreement is going to have to come to an end soon.
Well, they’ve fallen 2 weeks behind on rent and last night Grace told them that she wants them out by 11 AM tomorrow (which was today).
Well, of course, having a two year-old child they’re not gonna just go live in their car or something so they’re trying to invoke their rights for a proper eviction, which I believe would entail at least 30 days notice to prepare to leave. Plus it’s been uncharacteristically cold here with cold weather advisories in place (remember this for later). So they did not move out at 11 AM and Lauren comes knocking on the door shortly after. They have their doors locked so Lauren decides to break a freaking window to gain entry inside. The cops have been called several times but Lauren lied and said she lives there. And of course the police say this is a civil matter that they can’t get involved. Lauren won’t leave or even give them a moment of peace to pack or plan their next move even if they wanted to. She’s just been there with her wild & destructive little son running around tearing the place up like usual and she’s been yelling and harassing Abby and Bart. I believe she currently has her boyfriend there with her as well.
What should I advise Abby to do in this situation besides document/record everything and call a lawyer?
I will be reporting back any advice that I learn from your comments so thank you in advance I might just link her to this post. it’s the only thing I can think to do to help my friend. She’s kind of in a bad position with not having a lease in place Or a job on the books that she can show to the next place she wants to live to proof her income so she probably will need extra time but I mean 30 days would be the minimum. 2025.01.23 04:53 DemonZ13 Does makeup help anyone else feel more themselves in a body that doesn't feel like there's?
I do more punk style make up it helps me feel like the body is more so mine. I often don't feel like I fit in it if that makes sense? I look at it and if feels more like the old host's then mine, other's in our system have there own makeup styles and stuff and some of them do so for similar reasons yet I still feel kind of alone ig.
I got told I can't wear it at work anymore because it makes the owner sad and it might scare customers. I can understand that second reason but I do not understand why my lipstick makes her sad. It's a berry color with a black in the center of my lip line going down my chin. With my neck blacked our and red eyeshadow under my eyes. I can't figure out why her words hurt so bad.

I’m a new deputy, first week being solo. My post is a 5 day at an open unit which I haven’t trained much in. I give my rules and expectations at the beginning of each day. They all acknowledge them but then I spend the whole day reminding them of the rules time after time even though they know the rules and they play dumb when I call them out. My co workers have gave me some ideas on how to combat this but Id like to hear more people views and some tips and tricks to help me run it better and get them to listen/comply, or some types of discipline for open units.

Allegedly the person I have an active DV case against was arrested this evening for drunk in public and disorderly conduct for starting an altercation at a locally owned private business. I have previously hired PIs ( for the same individual) to establish solid evidence of character flaws. I was wondering if I would be able to personally ask this business about the incident ( instead of paying a PI) and turning this into the prosecution as well.
My case was throughly documented as it happened by me, alongside dealing with police losing evidence (I had backups of the evidence to resubmit thankfully) and just want things as clear as possible.
So am I able to ask the business myself? Or is that possible to be used against me for seeking information?

Been on auvelity generic hack (100mg bupropion + 45mg dxm 2x per day) for about 11 days now. have had glimmers of feeling slightly better but nothing drastic yet. How much time should I give it? I def have side effects and feel very spacey, and generally don’t want to be on a medication that doesn’t work. I went through ketamine infusions a few months ago and responded great so I feel like it should work but I’m not exactly sure! Did anyone experience delayed results?

I am 27F, and for context, I have struggled with a very low libido the past two years, even with myself.
