2025.01.23 05:02 Accurate_Loss_2297 To race this season or not to race this season?
My college has a very small track team and an even smaller long distance team (me and one or two other guys) so they let me walk on with practically zero prior competitive experience and train with them. I keep getting injured and I have felt generally overtrained and as if I have been underperforming severely for the past 3 months. It would be really neat to try out racing and competing but I just really don't feel up for it. Our first meet is in 20ish days and I could honestly not feel less prepared. I don't want to blow the opportunity but I am nowhere close where I wanted to be by now.

I am currently working on a project. I donāt know if Iām just not understanding it or what and would like some insight from different websites in a few PDFs by different people are telling me that first Samuel was written 931 BC but songs of Solomon comes before first Samuel chronologically and it was written in 971 BC but Solomon was not born during the time of Samuel. I know that Samuel wrote judges and Ruth, as well as first Samuel all the way till his death and then it was written by Nathan and Gad. I also know that Nathan and Gad served as prophets to King David. Can someone please explain this to me and if I am wrong, can you please give me websites and such to help me have a resource that shows Samuel goes before Solomon.

In December 2024, Hilton Hawaiian Village beach resort announced they're updating the rainbow tower and a number of rooms have been updated recently. Anyone stay in those updated rooms yet?
I'm trying to decide if the updated rooms, and what seems to be unbeatable views, are worth waiting 2 hours in the lobby vs. booking Ali'i ocean front rooms and having access to private check-in.
How are the ocean front views in the Ali'i tower? From youtube room tours, I wasn't impressed, but the rainbow tower ocean front views are still as incredible as I remember them.
Thoughts?

I have a group of friends and family that I like to invite to monthly board game nights. However, everyone manages their calendar differently. Some use Google Calendar, many don't, not everyone wants to be in the same group text message, etc. And everyone seems to forget which day board game night is, despite it being the same weekend every month. In other words, managing RSVPs for board game night is a nightmare on all sides.
My question is: how do you manage RSVPs to private, recurring game nights?
I'm thinking of using a platform like Meetup. It seems like an easy way to collect RSVPs, share basic information about the event, allow everyone to use their preferred calendars, and automatically send event reminders. However, since this is a private event, I'm worried that the platform will accidentally leak it publicly. Does anyone have a preferred platform for something like this?

(Sorry if my writing is bad). Probably like an hour ago I found a video online which showed 911 footage. I canāt get the images out of my head and itās just so sad and it hurts me. The video had some Arabic chant to it and it started off in some foreign text with a black screen and then it showed a closeup of the twin towers in flames and then it switched to another clip of people jumping and itās just so brutal and graphicā¦ they basically exploded and it showed other clips of people jumping and landing somewhere off camera. (Keep in mind that the chant was playing throughout the entire video). It showed some other clips of people trying to escape and you can see their arms waving and their heads are peaking outside the window. Then it showed some more with the text āogrishā and it showed even more clips one of them had someone landing on an ambulance (also keep in mind most of these clips were recorded on the literally right in front of the towers) I canāt get these images out of my head please someone tell me what I can do to stop remembering these images

My baby is almost 7 months and we recently started purĆ©es. Itās only been root vegetables and squash so far. He is doing ok. But I am nervous to try more things that would help him get iron. Iām worried itās going to be too hard on his stomach so soon. Can anyone give advice? Would you recommend baby cereal for the iron. My pediatrician said he needs more iron at this age now than what the formula has in it. Also whether itās baby cereal or pureed meat/spinach, how often and how much do I need to give to meet needed iron levels? Thanks

Thereās a reason why Iām worried, seeing my familyās new dog. The family dog was a chihuahua and she was loved, I know how much my mom loved her and it was sad when she passed. She was a little older & they hastily bought a pup through someone on Craigās List. The owner lied & said it was a chihuahua, the pup was too small to tell in pics but turns out itās some mix & we still donāt know what it is. The dog is crazy, hyper, annoying & I genuinely donāt get how my mom loves it so much. I am a dog lover but this dog is nuts & seeing how much my mom loved the chihuahua, I donāt get how she can go from that to this hyped up puppy. Heās 1 now & heās better but she gets frustrated with him, she was never like that with the other dogs or even her kids. My dog was older too & he was a lot of work but I loved his personality, I plan to stick with Yorkies. Iām just so worried Iāll end up in my momās position, even though she claims to love the dog..
