And now one from KPMG as business consultant (8 LPA base). I'm confused which one to join. I've heard work culture is shit at both the places.

I just picked up skiing again. I'm probably a low intermediate skiers looking to grow back into a high intermediate by the end of the season and eventually black diamond hopefully. I'm currently in Cranbrook, BC, so lots of great skiing around.
I'm purchasing a set of skis here and found 4 options that look good to me. Rossignal 80c vs K2 disruption 78C vs Atomic Maverick 84 vs Head Kore X 90
The rentals i used recently got chattery under speed and really messed with my confidence, I wouldn't consider myself an aggressive skier at the moment just trying to get my confidence and movements back. The atomics seem to be a bit slower and more conducive to beginners not looking to get too aggressive but I worry I might outgrow them if i start gaining more confidence. I kinda want something i can grow into for a bit. Anybody have any experience with these skis?

An insurance agent explained to me that in NE Ohio, there is only one option that has in-network providers out-of-state that cover for example a sprained ankle or other non-life threatening injuries. I looked it up (Ambetter), and it is currently being sued. So basically, I just have to accept that i'm going to be paying out of pocket for non-life threatening injuries out of state? I dont get why people talk of these HMOs so highly.

She doesn’t play with her cat all day before she goes to work at 4pm. Then she comes home at 12am and starts tossing around the rattle ball with her cat. Can’t she use a quieter toy with him? I mean he’s been primarily an outdoor cat his whole life and the fact he’s playing with something is progress but it’s 12am and I have work at 6am. I’m tired and just want to sleep. I’m so new to cats, and I mean he kept me up the whole month of November crying because she wouldn’t let him out. But I thought we were over the night time shenanigans. Before moving he never made so much noise, I wouldn’t have agreed if I knew this. I love cats, but this is frustrating to be paying more money than my roommate and to having my sleep impacted by her cat.

I would appreciate advice on how I should determine the type of HVAC I should have installed.
I'm considering either a standard Natural Gas furnace/condenser HVAC system or a "dual-fuel (hybrid)" system. A dual-fuel system will cost me about $20k and a standard system about $17k. I understand that heat pumps are much more efficient, but I'm uncertain if it's efficiency is enough to make up for the high electrical rates charged where I live. I'll buy a dual-fuel system if the heat pump efficiency will pay the difference within 10 years.
My energy provider is San Diego Gas and Electric (SDGE), the second most expensive provider in the U.S. SDGE is very good at obscuring their rates. I used 52 therms of gas last month ranging between $1.57-$1.92 / Therm (price variance based upon daily "market rate"). My time-of-use electrical rates / kWh vary as follows (on-peak, off-peak, super off-peak): Summer .65, .41, .13 and Winter .43, .38, .12. I used 146 kWhs of electricity last month.
I wonder how much gas and electricity varies for those of you who advocate a heat-pump system. Is gas a lot more expensive for you compared to electricity? I've been told that people who use heat-pumps will keep their indoor temps constant because it takes a long time for a heat-pump to heat up or cool down. Do you agree? Thank you for your help.

Just recently certified and curious how the BCCOHP CP points are calculated. To my understanding, Certified Dental Assistants need:
17 hours/month and 600 hours/year.
So- do i just look on my work schedule throughout the year and add up all of the 8h days i worked as a CDA in office and enter those? The 8h includes a lunch hour so should i not include that and just do 7h?

I wrote this as a comment on this subreddit, and it was cathartic. I think I’m traumatized.
My pw qBPD ghosted me on January 6th, 1 day before the LA fires (I had to evacuate and almost lost my house). I’ve never been so in love. I thought I was going to marry this man. We had constant communication, constant reassurance, constant “I love you”s and “I miss you”s, until he went silent without warning on the 6th. He’s gone a few days without talking before, but he always came back. This time, I was in a natural disaster. A bad one. Surely he’d respond when I told him I’m evacuating? Surely he’d care when I begged him to reply, saying I’m scared and about to lose everything? He loved me, he said he wanted to marry me. He always had me share my trauma with him and promised he wouldn’t hurt me. Then, as I was living through a traumatic life event, he was gone.
He never checked up on me. I texted and said I’m evacuating. No response. He didn’t give a fuck. I had DOZENS of people, all over the world, check up on me. Not a single word from the “love of my life”. I only know he’s alive because he updated an online bio. I’m devastated.
I messaged him a few days ago like an idiot saying “I miss you”. And… still nothing. This is the worst mindfuck of my life. I’m in so much pain. Why did he tell me he loved me so many times? Why did he say he wanted to marry me? He made me feel so safe and loved. I don’t understand. And he won’t talk to me to help me understand. I finally got the courage to block him on everything except email, because he said he’d email me if he couldn’t reach me.
Did he really not care that I almost lost my house and everything I own? Is the discard truly that extreme? I don’t know what I did wrong. He said he loved me, and he had a migraine, and then I never heard from him again.
