 | I bought a home last year and recently have been adding smart home features. I’m running into a problem with the wiring a thermostat. I’m wondering if someone here can help me. I got a smart thermostat to replace my previous one. I’m using a company called wyze. They sell a bunch of smart home stuff. I pulled off my old thermostat that was battery operated. I’m going through the set up. I don’t have a common C wire on this thermostat. The set up tells me I need to install an adapter on my air handler. The thermostat comes with the adapter. I take the cover off and there are 2 sets of wires coming off of the circuit board. One set goes to the W,R,G,Y with the right colors. The second set has a red wire going to the C and a white wire tying into the Y port. I’m not sure how to proceed. Both sets of wires travel together upstairs but I only have one set at the thermostat level down stairs and only one thermostat in the house. Nothing that I can see behind the wall. Everything with the old thermostat was functioning. I was thinking about taking both wires that are plugged into the Y port on the control board and the WRG, plug them into the adapter and leave the red plugged into the C on the control board. I’m just afraid of messing something up. I don’t want to fry the control board. Should be simple. Hate when it’s not. Any help or advice would be great. Does anyone else feel an impending sense of doom? I’m honestly a little bit un-excited to see the content nuke that Ethan has on Hasan.. I think the timing is going to make Ethan look very petulant; when there is SO much Trump bullshit/human rights offenses happening.. like.. I think it’s going to be received as scorn/fake outcry, rather than what it should be received as: good critique.
I really understand where Ethan is coming from, but my worry is that it’s just going to come off as ‘Ethan being Ethan..’ rather than an actual critique of Hasan’s flagrant misses, hypocrisy, and clear inability to pull himself out of the situation, and go, ‘oh shit my friend is feeling attacked, maybe I should approach him with empathy’ instead of immediately going ‘fuck him.’
I understand that this post is going to probably be received terribly… but whatever. I just honestly miss my comfort podcast.. and with the next 4 years coming up.. I just want to find a place to dissociate, and be happy, not to feel the weight of the world trying to make me decide how I feel about everything that is too big for me to change, yet is extremely bothersome.
I’m not a fallen fan, I’m just a fan that truly wants peace.. and will hide out until danger passes.. and hope that there is something left of the podcast when all the angeshit slinging stops and all the dust settles.

Hi, I'm heading into my 2nd year and I'm getting a new laptop. My shitty elitenotebook got me thru first year fine but it's falling apart. I'm going into a double of electrical eng and compsci, but I'm losing my head over what kind of specs I should choose. I'm pretty set on 16gb ram, 512gb+, 60+Hz. I'm not sure whether to get a GPU since I've heard electrical eng doesn't rly run much rendering and CAD so not much need. I feel like a 2 in 1 is the best choice since it has touch screen and can be used to take notes etc.
Any advice or reccomendations? Thanks.

2025.01.23 05:05 valennnnnnnnnnnn Youtube is hiding comments from other people in MY videos.
No, they are not on the "approval" section waiting for me to decide to keep them or not. The "comments" section in youtube studio is literaly empty.
I realized this because I went to my friends house and showed him one of my videos, the fact is that he does not have an actual yt account (yes, psycho behaviour, lets not talk about that now) so basically its like viewing all videos in incognito mode. I take a look at the comment section, two comments from 5 days ago.
Both of them are NOT SHOWING when I enter the video with my account!!! Im going insane cause I want to ANSWER THEM and I can not find how to do it because they are completely gone from my end. Not showing on notificacions feed when clicking the bell, not showing when I filter comments 'by newest' not showing on yt studio, they are not stucked in the censored limbo either. Is there another way to found comments that im missing?
One of the two is someone giving feedback and saying he subscribed to my channel and his comment is completely ignored while all the rest are answered because i respond to all my comments 💀
One theory I have is that youtubed hides them because one says "vidIQ" so i guess it flags it automatically as spam? and the other one is a comment saying something like " hey! i do 3d printing too, if someone wants to collab" because i show a 3dprinting machine for a split second, which i guess could also count as spam. The point is, I explicitly turned off all type of moderation on my youtube comments because i want to be the only factor deciding wether a comment is deleted or not, and somehow they are still moderating them, but not only that, I cannot even see or have an opinion on said moderation.
You might have comments in your videos that youtube is hiding from you. And its stupid because other people can still see them, just not you.
