2025.01.23 05:01 Example11 Talking to refs
Here's a pretty basic topic that I'd love advice on: how do you talk respectfully to refs?
For context we lost a very close game tonight. 7th grade girls team. It wasn't a great showing on our part and I don't blame the refs. However the other team's defenders were all over our girls. Pressure out to mid court, hands all up in their business. Bumping our ball handlers and just disruptive. It was tough aggressive D and I'd be happy if we had done the same, but there were plenty of uncalled fouls. I think not calling fouls led to the defense being even more aggressive.
It's hard to be a ref. Looks like a thankless job and I'm a big believer that we shouldn't be yelling at them or being bad sports. At the same time, if there's a persistent issue is there a good way to draw attention to it without irritating them? I am confident that's a skill I haven't learned yet but one that obviously good NBA coaches know.
Do we have to be confrontational to make a point? Are there questions we ask them or humor to use? Is there a good time to say something?
Anyone who feels effective at this, I'd love your advice!

Hey guys, I love this game a lot and was on my 3rd playthrough when I noticed Cappie's markings on her face were tattoos and was curious so I decide to look them up. She has 2 tattoos, a tear drop, and 3 dots around her eye. Looking up the 3 dots (taken from google) means, "Typically signifies "mi vida loca" which translates to "my crazy life" in Spanish, often associated with gang culture and representing a life of struggle and resilience.", and the tear drop means (also from google) "It is closely associated with gang and prison culture, where it often indicates one has served time, one has been humiliated, or one has killed.". So next time you see Cappie, just know her name means she's gonna put a cap in you.

Hey all! Recently switched over to using Dungeon Alchemist and Canvas of Kings for my mapmaking. I've used Owlbear Rodeo in the past as my VTT, but it seems like it'll be difficult to use with the animated maps. I've heard good things about Foundry and Above VTT.
Those of you that use animated maps, what VTT do you use? How easy is it to get things up and running with the animations?

2025.01.23 05:01 vexexist Intense Nausea/heartburn when eating outside fasting window
Hi! I usually do OMAD, but sometimes if I don't feel hungry when it's time to eat I'll usually just eat a little and then a little more later (turning omad into a 20:4 fast). However, every time I do this I always get intense nausea at night. Like I can't do anything but sit on the cold bathroom floor and rock back and forth until my nausea meds kick in. I realized a little later that this is probably heartburn (i think) so I've been taking anti-acids when I eat, but sometimes that isn't enough and I still get sick later. Even if I just eat a little (example: today I ate a few pieces of fruit outside my omad, and am now barely able to type trying to fight off the nausea) I just wanted to ask if anyone else experiences this and anything I can do about it except taking anti-acids every time I eat.
