Hello friendly hive-mind, I'm hoping for feedback on a character build for a woodsy longbow archer in dnd 5.24 that's a bit spicier than a straight-class ranger. Longbow builds got hit pretty hard with the nerf stick in the 2024 revisions, but I may have found something that deals solid damage, scouts/explores like a champ, and brings a ton of sylvan feywild flavor. All suggestions and comments are welcome and greatly appreciated!
Highlights:
- Warlock (Archfey) contributes 3 longbow shots per round via pact of the blade, huge crits via eldritch smite, lithe mobility via otherworldly leap and misty step, unlimited guidance and speak with animals via pact of the tome, reliable advantage via faerie fire, and an occasional mass shut-down via hypnotic pattern.
- Fighter (Champion) contributes archery fighting style, crit on 19 (27% chance with elven accuracy), action surge, and tactical mind to boost an important ability check when needed.
- Rogue dip contributes woodsy skill expertise and a little bit of sneak attack dmg.
- Feats
- Origin: Magic Initiate (Wizard) - Find Familiar, Elementalism, Message for the best animal companion in the game, scouting comms, and extra nature magic flavor + utility.
- General: Elven Accuracy, Great Weapon Master, Sharpshooter

Hey everyone, I really need some professional advice on this!
I’ve been wanting to buy the Galaxy S23 Ultra since its release, but I decided to hold off for the S24 Ultra. When that came out and didn’t bring significant hardware improvements, I waited again—this time for the S25 Ultra. Now that it’s here, I’m stuck trying to decide whether to go for it or consider the S25+.
For context, I currently use the Galaxy Tab S9+ (which I absolutely love), the Galaxy Watch5 (44mm), and the Galaxy A54 5G as my phone. I have access to Samsung’s Student Offer, which would bring the price down significantly.
Here’s where I’m conflicted:
- S25 Ultra: I’ve read a lot of criticism about it, and while some points make sense, they don’t bother me too much personally. I don’t think I’d use the S Pen feature much since I already have the Tab S9+ for drawing and note-taking. But the camera? That’s what draws me in—it’s amazing for my needs. Especially the zoom to 100x, as it's not in S25+.
- S25+: I’m considering this as a cheaper alternative since I don’t feel like I’d fully utilize the Ultra’s extra features, especially the S Pen. Though, all of the software features in S25U will also be in S25+ right? Or is there anything that is excluded?
- Amazing camera (for me)
- Gorgeous design
- No Bluetooth support for the S Pen (but can I still use it for remote camera features, like with the Tab S9+?)
- Pricier than the S25+
I’m leaning toward the S25 Ultra because of the camera, but I’m open to hearing your thoughts. Is the Ultra worth it for someone like me? Or should I save some money and go with the S25+ instead?
Also, do you think it’s worth upgrading my Galaxy Watch5 to the Watch7?
