The biggest male becomes female when the dominant female dies. • Wrasses: Females can become males if males are in short supply. • Green Sea Turtles: Their sex isn’t even genetic—it’s determined by the temperature of the sand they hatch in.
If nature is diverse and adaptable, why is it so hard to let people be the same? Not everyone fits into popular gender stereotypes. People just want to be themselves—whether that’s wearing makeup, driving a truck, or something completely different.
This isn’t about rejecting tradition for the sake of it. It’s about recognizing that rigid gender roles don’t fit everyone, and they never have. Some men don’t want to be “rough and tough,” and some women don’t want to be delicate and feminine. And that’s okay.
For those who voted for Trump: think about this. If God or nature is responsible for the world’s diversity, then maybe the real problem is forcing everyone into boxes they don’t belong in.

I would like to hear a second opinion on the book !, Claudius by Robert Graves because I don't have anyone to discuss it with irl. I personally think that it is a great book and I am currently reading the continuation, Claudius the God and His Wife Messalina. I just finished I, Claudius and for a book that is supposed to be an autobiography of Claudius he is kind of depicted as a side character of his own story. Like an observer I may add. It is written in the first person but not really as an autobiography. He kind of sounds more like a narrator than a main character. But I am not complaining because it is nice to learn about every character rather than on the main character alone. I know that it is heavily fiction based but it is still nice to know about each character's story even if it isn't the most reliable historical source. I am only up to chapter 3 of the continuation, Claudius the God and His Wife Messalina but I find it a bit annoying that it talks a lot about Herod. I'm pretty sure the first five chapters are about him and I know that it is part of the story but I feel as if it is being dragged. I want to hear more about Claudius and less about Herod. But that is all. I would love to hear other opinions on the book.

Howdy Gents! Hope you are doing well. I’ve been looking at getting a new carrier and I’ve been stuck between a couple options and possibly need recommendations. Here’s some stats about me: Height= 6’0 Weight= 285 (I am indeed large but I am currently losing weight…. Down 35 so far 💪) Breakdown: I have broad shoulders so I’m looking for a carrier that has its shoulder straps a little bit further apart. Plate carriers I’m currently looking at: Arbor Arms CAS 2.0 WTF 24 Plate carrier FCPC DAG Spitfire L4PC DAS Hot pursuit New lv-120 👀
I’m personally leaning towards the CAS 2.0 due to the cummerbund as it seems incredibly comfortable and I like the idea of elastic but the WTF 24 seems like a really close second. I asked the support team why this was so, and I was told that when a student favorites you, that’s the price they pay. So, when the student favorited me days ago, they were locked in to the price that I was charging at that time even though they booked just now. The house, of course, has some oddities, one of which being this little pink ledge. I can't seem to stop thinking about it. Does anyone know what its history or purpose might have been? It's outside of a very large workroom/storage closet, that's near a kitchen, which used to be a neighborhood restaurant. And while I'm here, does anyone know the technical style of this kind of tile? It's commonly found in front door entryways, as it is here. It's got sos chipping on the sides and I'd love to be able to fix it up. can i just say i LOVED married OTP in blossom lol. i know some folks thought it got slow/uninteresting after they got married but honestly i would totally watch a cut version of show with just their post marriage scenes 🤣
just something about how their relationship slowly progresses after they get married, the growing intimacy, the physical intimacy, learning to be vulnerable and confide in one another, as well as doing totally “normal” things together (like going thru ledgers) but also supporting each other thru challenges and family crisis
it was just all really heart warming to watch, and i appreciated they were married in good half of show unlike other dramas where they usually get married in the last episode, or sometimes the last 3 minutes of show lol (i’m looking at you love and redemption). and i loved how their wedding scene was really flushed out, from having the ceremony begin at cui’s residence with grandma present, to the wedding procession, to finally having the ceremony at the duke of ying’s residence
and usually shows will spring the 5 years later trope and randomly throw a kid at us, but we were actually able to see her pregnant for a few episodes, their reaction to the pregnancy, etc etc. just felt like there was a lot of thought and love behind our married couple which i feel like is very rare??
anywhooo i’ll stop ranting/raving now, but yes open to recommendations of any other married OTPs out there! some i can think of are: my heroic husband, eternal love (they were married in their “first” lives!), till the end of the moon (they were technically married, that totally counts right? lol), who rules the world (but that happens towards the end-ish)

2025.01.23 05:54 PhrygianSounds Do I have to get rid of everything after moving out of mold?
I moved into a mold apartment last July. Stayed there for a month before my landlord was able to move me to another unit. My new unit doesn’t have any visible mold and no mold/mildew smell, so I think it’s fine but I haven’t tested it or anything.
Been in the new unit for 5 months and found out I have to move across the country in a few weeks. This may be a blessing in disguise because I just found out that the mold travels with your belongings once you move out.. so my mold exposure probably never went away.
So do we truly have to get rid of everything? Or just most things, or is it only clothes, bedding and furniture? I have some irreplaceable family heirloom type stuff that I don’t know how I’m gonna get rid of. Same with my sports jerseys :/
