Hi everyone, | [31m] work at an investment bank in NYC. I had an accommodation to work from home, which took over 9 months to get approved. After it was finally approved, I was told I met all criteria for a promotion, but wasn't promoted due to not having enough "face time," which I took to mean in-office presence. My boss mentioned needing to play the "popularity contest," which also seems tied to being in the office. The firm is strongly pushing a return to office, so l'm wondering if this was discrimination. Thoughts?

Hello, all! I am new to the forum but doing some research for my husband! He had cancer that metastasized to his lower lumbar region and has had surgery/radiation/chemo. Because of the chemo and radiation his bones are somewhat more fragile than others his age, but heās still incredibly strong. I love him the way he is, so this inquiry is not so much about cosmetic purposes, but more so for mobility purposes long term. My husband has had a rough go at life his first 30 years on earth and I want him to be able to play with our children the way I know he desires. I also want to make sure his scoliosis doesnāt cause any more pain than absolutely necessary as we age. I would categorize his scoliosis as moderate, and the curve is toward the upper-middle part of his back, creating uneven shoulders and causes his upper back to have a little bit of a āhumpā, if you will (I truly apologize if this is not the correct term, I have very limited knowledge on this subject). I know he is not rushing into having surgery to correct it, after all heās been through already, so I wanted to ask if maybe anybody had some advice concerning alternative ways that may help him. This girl I had a lot of feelings heard a rumor about me and started avoiding me. I am not sure what the rumor was but ultimately I think it was malicious and made me look I wasn't doing well. What actually irritates me is since we met I've been nothing but kind and supportive towards her. She found out through mutual that I really like her and have been saying positive things about her. She recently left a heart(which I deleted) on my YouTube video and is relearning a piano piece that she said she had "forgotten" when I asked her to play. Ultimately, I feel betrayed because I wouldn't have avoided her. I would have asked her if she was ok if I heard a rumor about her. Yeah, I still really like her but my ego is telling me that I should just forget about her and look towards the future. Thoughts?

Curious what tools teams are using to manage projects during design, entitlements and through construction phases. Iāve used Microsoft power project and planner but it just doesnāt seem have as many functions as other software and doesnāt work well if trying to collaborate with architects and engineers and other consultants. Iāve thought about looking into ProjectManager and Wrike.
Anyone have any recommendations?

Hello. 36F. I got sick the week after Christmas with a respiratory infection and coughed so hard that I started having pain in the right side of my ribs, thinking Iād pulled a muscle.
Itās been 2 weeks since then and it hasnāt gotten better. In fact, it might be worse, but itās kind of hard to say. I am currently in a play that requires me to be fairly physical, so thatās obviously not helping.
I have tried a cold pack and ibuprofen, as those are my only options at the moment. Pretty much everything hurts, it just depends. I can find positions that arenāt painful, but then Iāll cough or laugh or even just clear my throat and that will hurt. It hurts to press on. Iāve been holding a cold pack on it this evening and letting go of it was super painful.
There are no visible outward anomalies in the area.
I have sent my doctor a message, but just wanted some ideas or suggestions on what to do, if possible.
