I’m posting this on behalf of the mods to address an ongoing issue in the subreddit: the rise in political and propaganda-related posts, particularly about the current US government administration. This trend has been increasing, and it’s time we address it directly.
As many of you know, this subreddit has always maintained a no politics stance, and this is clearly outlined in Rule 6:
Rule 6: No Politics PLEASE keep politics out of this subreddit! We don’t want this sub to turn into the political chaos GenZ has become. No discussions of political systems, ideologies, or movements, regardless of the time period or region they come from.Unfortunately we weren't too sure about the severity of which we should've been enforcing this rule due to various circumstances, but that changes now. Starting today, and after discussing with the mods, we've decided that Rule 6 will be strictly enforced..and any posts that talk about political ideologies will be removed. Bear in mind, this doesn't include conversations about sexuality, race, gender and other topics. Posts about these topics could possibly be locked if the comments get unnecessarily rude towards the OP or other users.
Why are we enforcing this strictly?
Allowing political content—even when unintentional—sets a dangerous precedent. Political discussions can quickly spiral into heated arguments and derail the focus of this subreddit. We’ve all seen what happens in other spaces that let politics take over (like the main GenZ sub), and we don’t want that for this community.
Our goal has always been to keep this a cozy, welcoming place to discuss topics relevant to Middle Gen Z. Letting politics in only distracts from that purpose and diminishes the sense of community we’ve built here.
How you can help keep the community on track:
Report posts and comments that you feel are too political. This helps the mod team address them quickly and effectively.
Please resist the urge to engage with political content. Instead, let us handle it.

Starting out life with dyslexia does not come with many bells and whistles. But at one point i had a teacher that would come and and read my books as i read along, while recording it . I would then read along as my homework. I have come to see this as my first audiobooks. So as i learned it the audiobook was reading. And to me still is.

I’m 27F and I’ve only been in the workforce for about a year, having started my career later than most of my peers. Over the past 10 months in my first job, I’ve learned so much putting in long hours both at work and outside of it to catch up on the few years I missed. But despite all the effort and progress, I still find myself doubting whether I'm doing enough.
Here’s what’s been bothering me: I’ve noticed that people with 3-4 years of experience, who often don’t even know the basics of our domain, are getting paid significantly more.
The pay seems to be based more on the fact that they’ve been around longer, not on actual competence or expertise. And, to make matters more confusing, I’ve had multiple senior-level people reach out to me for help with work-related issues. Some have even told me I’m underpaid for what I know, with one going so far as to say I’m “too good to be a junior,” even though this is my first year.
I know this might sound like a rant, but I’m genuinely trying to understand the dynamics at play. Is this the norm in corporate settings? Why does it feel like experience sometimes outweighs actual skill or knowledge, especially when I’ve worked hard to catch up in a relatively short time?
Has anyone else experienced this frustration, or can you help me make sense of why it works this way?

Hello. My 4 year old cat loves to go into the fridge and steal food. When opening the fridge, he tried to get in. I pulled him back but the fridge door slipped and it closed itself right on his head, one cheek on the fridge edge, the other on the fridge door edge. He pulled back and shaked his head. It's been 15 minutes. His behavior seems totally normal, could find no lump, and he did not recoil when I touched any area of his head. Did I hurt him? I'm very worried. It looked bad

I met this girl last week Monday, I was like in my head “she is really cute, I wanna get to know her better” so Tues or Wednesday I followed her on Instagram, Friday I was with her at the library and with my friend, my friend left to hang out with his girl so I ask what class she got and said whatever and ask back, I said weight training and she flexed her arms, my thought, it was really cute, and later that night I texted her for two hours and it was good, and Saturday night I texted her again and hopped on Fortnite and Roblox till 3 AM, she laughs and giggles. Sunday I texted her and hopped on Fortnite for a bit, and texted Monday, Tuesday night I hopped on Fortnite with her again and playedc and yesterday she had marketplace which I bought 10 mini tickets to donate to her booth so she can pass with a ‘A’, so I just decided to be honest and tell her “I really enjoy talking with you and I wanna know if you wanna get to know each other better??” Like talking stage, and she said “I like talking with you but wdym?🤔” and I said “I enjoy our chats, and I’m interested in getting to know you better, yk what I mean?” And the she replied “youre like a really great guy and all but im not ready for commitment and id rather just stay friends as of right now, if thats what im picking up from ur msgs 😣” I said “that’s what I meant, its fine,” she said “Sorry I feel like a asshole”, its ok, your good!👍 she said “Sorry!” I said “You don’t have to say sorry, it’s good” she liked the message. So you know I got friend zoned, honestly I think I’m dumb for telling her honestly really early, and I just plan to just keep being friends, texting and saying hi to each other at halls and talk irl and play Fortnite and Roblox. Any advice and tips? Would be appreciated in the comments!
