2025.01.23 15:30 ErdemTheBigGuy2 Considering quitting mathematics, but have no other options
Hello fellow mathematicians,
I am originally from Türkiye and have obtained my bachelor's there from the one of the best universities of my country by ranking really high at the uni entrance examinations. Then I graduated as the best of my class and won a scholarship to come to Germany to study mathematics. That scholarship got cancelled; and I ended up being severely depressed and frustrated, started my master's in my hometown but eventually won another scholarship and started my master's at TUM. During my first year everything went fine, and I have got only 3 courses and my thesis left. I must complete these courses either this semester or in the next one, but I worry too much that I won't be able to do that despite not failing a course before. I feel incredibly overwhelmed and self-conscious; I feel like I am going to fail at this last stage and everything will be horrible for me.
All these overwhelming feelings make me consider going back to the school in my homecountry where I originally started my master's, I am simply too afraid that I might fail. Have you ever felt the same way? Do you have any suggestions?

Is anyone getting a ton of shipping adjustments the past couple weeks? I was rarely ever getting them. Now i’ve had 3 in the past two weeks. I weigh all my packages and I know they are correct. They are all getting scanned several pounds over what they are. For example I shipped a light weight item which was 5oz and it was scanned 5 pounds. They have all also said it was a medium flat rate box when I don’t even own those boxes. I use brown ones. It won’t even let me file for a refund online. It says this package is not available for a refund. This is getting ridiculous.

 | Hello, I am looking for some guidance to improve what my makeup looks like. In this picture I have on the wet n wild tinted moisturizer and this was after washing my face with laroche posay cleanser and applying first aid beauty ultra repair cream. I have to be careful with what products I use because I have rosacea and certain products, like highly oil based ones, will send me into flare ups. I believe part of my issue is dryness but I have been trying to moisturize well, and I still seem to be having issues. 2025.01.23 15:30 xDredgenXAKAIx Brand New to Audio, a Few Qustions
So, I've always wanted to have a nice sound system in my car. I just got a brand new car about 5 mo ths ago and am ready to pull the trigger and make a nice sound system for it. It's a 2022 Hyundai Elantra SEL. I was graciously gifted an AMP by my Dad's step-brother in law. Apparently, it's a pretty decent AMP. it looks quite large, and he said it cost him almost $700. It is the Audio Pipe APCLE-6004. Says that everytime he's tried to use it, it goes into a safe mode. (He's done multiple full builds himself, so I don't doubt his expertise.) Said that if I could fix it, I could have it. I'm thinking it's jjst got a short somewhere. I am a huge tech guy, so I'm sure I could fix it ASAP. I have tools necessary for that kind of stuff. My question would be in regards to making sure my car doesn't implode when I install this. What subs should I pair with this Amp, and would I need to upgrade anything electrical in my car so it doesn't make anything else go out? Any tips, pointers, suggestions... anything helps a man out :)

2025.01.23 15:30 TeleMonoskiDIN5000 Harder to telemark turn while carrying increased weight?
Hey there, please don't bludgeon me with your lurks too hard if this is a super-obvious question but, do you find it excessively more fatiguing to do tele turns with a slight increase (like 4-5 kg difference) in the load/pack you are carrying?
The reason I ask is because today I skied with a pack about 5 kg heavier than my usual, and whereas I can do tele all day with my usual pack, I started getting massive fatigue in my legs after two runs or so. I threw in a few alpine runs and was surprised that I noticed absolutely no difference in feeling from the added weight - but as soon as I returned to tele turns, my legs were absolutely done in a short period of time.
Is it basically just physics, as with tele I'm doing something like weighted squats/lunges? The part I'm most caught on is that I feel absolutely no difference when doing alpine turns - I would expect at least some of the same fatigue, as those turns have somewhat of a squat element too. Is there something I am missing?

i feel like all my problems tend to solve themselves, and when they do, it’s the greatest feeling ever. had a guy just now who i do business with at my bank come in and offer me a second job at his business and it works out perfectly for me. it pays to be friendly with people, people!! make connections, make friends, even if they’re your customers, you never know what opportunities it can open up for you! i’m so glad im finally going to be able to make some real money now. saves me the hassle of having to do a whole application process too.
