Ich bin beruflich viel im innerösterreichischen Fernverkehr mit dem Zug unterwegs, ich pendle regelmäßig die Südstrecke zwischen Wien und Kärnten. Im Großen und Ganzen sind die Verspätungen der ÖBB meines Empfindens nach im akzeptablen Bereich - phasenweise ist es manchmal besser, manchmal hat jeder dritte meiner Züge eine Verspätung (ich führe btw Statistik dazu). Darum soll es aber eigentlich gar nicht gehen. Was mich wirklich stört sind nicht die Verspätungen, sondern wie mit diesen umgegangen wird.
Ich nutze die Zeit vor und im Zug zum arbeiten, und finde deshalb auch diese vereinzelten Verspätungen von mehreren Stunden nicht sonderbar dramatisch, da wo die Hälfte der anderen Gäste schon lange ihren Frust auslassen im sie das arme Zugpersonal anschnauzen. Ich bin dahingehend ein sehr ruhiger Mensch.
Was mich wirklich aufregt, ist, wenn ich in der ÖBB Lounge sitze und immer wieder einen Blick auf die eingetragene Verspätung von 19:24 auf 19:44 werfe, um um 19:42 am Bahnsteig aufzukreuzen, wo dann leider kein Zug auf mich wartet, sondern ich einen Zugbegleiter dabei überhören muss, wie er sich gerade am Telefon aufregt wo denn der beschissene Zug sei und wie er den Leuten hier erklären soll dass er keine Ahnung hat was gerade los ist.
Whatever. Kurz nach geplanter Abfahrt heißts nochmal +20 Minuten, repeat, +40 Minuten, repeat.. ich hab den Abend dann tatsächlich das Taxi zum Flughafen genommen und mir ein Auto gemietet. Darum gehts mir halt tatsächlich nicht, die können ja nur indirekt etwas dafür dass der Zug kaputt ist. Was aber ohne Aufwand verbessert werden kann, wäre, dass man mich wenigstens die zweieinhalb Stunden richtig arbeiten lässt, indem man nur ZEHN MINUTEN vor Abfahrt zugeben könnte, dass der Zug offensichtlich noch nicht funktioniert. Es kann ja ehrlich nicht sein, dass man schon zwei Stunden versucht eine Zuggarnitur aufzutreiben, und dann erst wenige Augenblicke vor— oder überhaupt erst nach der eingetragenen Verspätung drauf kommt, dass es nichts damit wird den Zug in der nächsten fucking Minute bereitzustellen.
So viel zum milderen Thema. Obiges war ein Sonderfall - meistens schaffen sie es eh zumindest 10 Minuten vor Abfahrt mitzuteilen, ob der Zug die nächsten 10 Minuten abfahren kann oder nicht. Heute hab ich aber zum zweiten Mal innerhalb weniger Fahrten das Pendant dazu erlebt:
Man stelle sich vor, du wartest wie immer in der ÖBB-Lounge mit deiner beschissenen kulinarischen Verwöhnung ÖBB-Reiswaffel auf deinen um 40 Minuten verspäteten Zug. Gegen Minute 32 der Verspätung schaust du nochmal auf die Tafel - immer noch bei 40 Minuten, noch nicht nach hinten geschoben. Du beginnst langsam dein Zeug einzuräumen, dich fertig zu machen, um dann bei Minute 34 nochmal einen letzten Blick auf die Anzeigetafel zu werfen.
Verspätung von 40 Minuten auf 35 Minuten reduziert. Zug natürlich schon weg bis ich am Bahnsteig war. Super. Aber was solls. Dann fahren wir halt mit dem nächsten in anderthalb Stunden.
Heute wieder; Zug von 18:24 auf 18:34 verschoben. Ich geh trotzdem um 18:24 schon los Richtung Bahnsteig, am Weg vergewissere ich mich noch bei allen Tafeln an denen ich vorbei gehe ob die Abfahrt noch passt, oder ob ich umdrehen muss. Komme die Rolltreppe hoch, Zug schon da, gehe Richtung Zugende zu meinem Wagon - hab ja noch über 5 Minuten Zeit denk ich mir. Dann gestikuliert mich ein Zugbegleiter aggressiv an, dass ich einsteigen soll. Gut dass ich da war, denn der Zug fuhr um 18:28 los.
Ich würds wirklich freundlich finden, wenn man sich darum bemühen würde, eine Abfahrtszeit nur fünf Minuten vor Fahrtantritt nicht mehr großartig ändern zu müssen, weder nach hinten noch nach vorne.
Man möge mich downvoten dafür, da sich “Verspätungen jederzeit ändern können” und ich einfach am Bahnsteig warten könnte wie andere auch. Aber wenn sich mittelfristig für mich herausstellt, dass ich statt zu arbeiten, wirklich am Bahnsteig auf einen Zug aktiv warten muss, da der Zug jede Minute kommen und sofort abfahren könnte, wäre es für mich ehrlich die bessere Wahl die Strecke einfach wieder mit dem Auto zu fahren und mir dafür das Klimaticket zu sparen, was ich schade finde, da ich eigentlich echt gerne Zug fahre.

Hi - I'm a 40 y/o male with MPB. Mainly experiencing thinning at my hairline/temple area.
I've gone to a couple of different dermatologists because of my insurance. I've been on oral min/fin for about 2 years and I'm stable yet don't see a ton of new growth. It seems that each doctor wants me to come back every 4-6 months for a follow up. I don't have an issue going back. But, with my insurance, I end up getting a bill for over $200 each visit (I'm in NYC). The oral min / fin costs are low and not a concern for me. But, I feel that the continued visits are making this an unrealistic treatment to continue. Especially when there is nothing to report or for them to examine in these visits.
Are there other options I should be looking into where I'm getting the same supply but not facing the continued fee for doctor's visits? Or just tell me this is what it should be and I'll be on my merry way LOL. Thanks in advance for any help!

First time poster and newish to turntables. This may be the wrong group, I'm sorry if it is. I was lucky to pick up a Technics SL-D2 in great condition, that had been in a box in storage for the last 20 years or so, for ZAR200 (+/-$10) at an estate sale. I also have a Pro-ject Phono Box E preamp and Edifier MR4 powered bookshelf speakers. I got an AT95e cartridge from a friend. It was not new. The entire set up cost about $200. The TT counterweight and anti-scate are set up correctly. I know the Audio Technica AT95e cartridge was discontinued and replaced by the AT-VM95e. And the AT-VM95EN is the naked stylus version. My question is, is it worth me getting an AT-VM95ML instead of the AT-VM95EN, considering the basic system I have?

I worked for an affordable housing property in California. Initially the federal government did not permit undocumented immigrants to reside in affordable housing. We then moved on to move mixed families in where parents or other members of the family had different legal statuses.
What do you foresee happening with these individuals, safety and ability to remain housed without risking immigration detection or both branches sharing information to detain individuals. Our homes are our safety net and although they do not receive subsidies (just their children do) this would that safety net.
I haven’t read any guidance on affordable housing and I am worried for many families. Please let me know if this is not the appropriate subreddit.

I just started buying into XFED (~$1M market cap) based on some upcoming news I've heard and am interested in other low market cap coins that could go boom.
How does everyone find projects that are this small? Is it all insider knowledge or is there a slack, discord, or reddit to find brand new projects that haven't started their marketing engine yet?
Also - what exchanges do you generally trust for small cap coins? I've been primarily using Uniswap for XFED but am hoping to find other ways to get into coins early.

Also - for those interested in XFED, the token stands for the need fix the federal reserve and add more transparency/accountability in US monetary policy. It sounds like more of a movement vs. utility token at this time and given focus on our current national and massive influencers who also don't like the fed (e.g. Elon), I could easily see this going 100-500x if the right influencers get on board.

I finished HZD Remastered (first time) last month and currently finishing up FW.
I remember in HZD looting was a drag because I had to free up stuff so most the time I didn't bother, because I never found anything interesting, it's always just stuff for metal shards anyway.
Now FW has a super convenient "move to stash" feature. But the loot is still so bland. The "purple" and "gold" icons popping up makes me all excited at first, then after a while I realized it's just more stuff to trade for shards. I already have way more shards than I can spend so it was all just "eh".
I don't play a lot of games. Last "looty" game I played was probably Witcher 3 years ago. I seem to remember the looting was kinda exciting because you'd find armor and weapons, though most of them trash, but at least they are stuff you can use.
I wish they'd have the same thing here: you can find weapons in loots. Weapons with wild characteristics that make it more interesting to use, while not being overpowered. Or something else, I admit I don't have any good ideas. Hopefully the next installation will address this.
