Hello guys, I would like to hear your opinion on this story: I'm 20 years old
I work in a small restaurant in a village, (we can seat around 60 people) expect the summer from Monday till Thursday it's never so busy.
I'm working here for 3 years. This is my first ever kitchen where I started as a cook. I started with making starters and dessert with no knowledge.
After 1.5 years I learned the main dishes, doing orders, making the menu together with my chef, learning people to work in the kitchen, I'm also the 'chef' When my Chef has a free day or is on holiday.
The kitchen is run by:
3 full time workers: 1: Chef 2: Me 3: Good friend of me that recently quit
And we have around 4/5 people that work in the weekend as a dishwasher or help in the kitchen as a job besides school.
Right now only me and the Chef are working full time. I'm thinking about quitting because I don't learn a lot here anymore. The problem is: If I leave now I cause a big problem because then only the chef remains as a full time worker. Also I get payed okay here, and it's close to my house. (20min by bike or 5min by car)
I'm looking for advice what to do since I know most experienced cooks tell people to never stay at the same place for too long when you are young.

I’m currently registered for: Econ 201 (Elise Critoph) Phil 275 ( Mark Pierre Rozahegy ) Engl 233 ( Alexandra kakon), I just got in that course yesterday and have attended 0 classes held
Has anyone done either of these courses? Which one should I drop? I know that Econ 201 can be overwhelming but I signed up for that course because the theory might be useful for daily life. But is it worth it tho?

2025.01.23 15:22 Spivonious1 Mitsu ducted system, MHK2 heat strip operation
Hi all, we've been having frigid temperatures overnight where temps are going below 10F in the evening and staying there until mid-morning.
According to a tech we had out, our heat pump goes into lockout under 10F and doesn't come back on until temps hit 15F. We have an inverter heat pump from MItsubishi installed in 2019 (not a hyper-heat model) with a 2 stage heat strip as back up. We're using the MHK2 thermostat set in heat mode for 68F.
The house dipped to 59F overnight on Tuesday. We had a tech out on Wednesday and he says everything is working and blamed Mitsu logic for not turning on the heat strips. He claims they don't come on if the thermostat senses a 0.9F rise over 24 minutes. Since our thermostat is near the refrigerator, he hypothesized that the heat from the fridge was resetting that timer and causing the strips to not come on.
Since it's a wireless thermostat, we moved it to another location Wednesday night and the house stayed comfortable all night.
This morning (Thursday), I woke up at 5:30AM to a 59F house again. I went down with an instant-read thermometer and found that the heat strips would click on, produce roughly 80F air out of the nearest supply, and after a few minutes click back off. The blower would keep going and the air temp would quickly drop back to 59F, matching the return air temp. After another 5-10 minutes, the strips would come on again and click off after a few minutes. Obviously, this is not producing enough sustained heat to raise the temperature in the house.
Has anyone seen this issue before? I went through the service options in the MHK2 and everything seems to be set properly. Should I call the tech out again?

In the finale when the three siblings are all fighting the final straw that sends Kendall over the edge is Roman pointing out that if the family wanted to continue the bloodline then Shiv should be the successor since she has Logan's first biological grandchild on the way. It's a fairly obvious and correct assessment of Logan even if you didn't know him well but it sends Kendall over the edge. It's a bit of a low blow from Roman to say it out loud but anyone who barely knew Logan could guess that Logan felt that way.
However, an interesting thing I remembered is that in S2E3 at the boar on the floor scene when Logan starts interrogating dinner guests he responds to Tom's evasion of "why don't we discuss strategy?" with "Here's a strategy, Tom: Why don't you pipe down till you come and tell me I've got a grandson coming? Hmm? Or are you shooting blanks?" The implication that he wants a biological grandson as a heir through Shiv is could not be more clear unless he actually used the word "heir". And of course at this dinner Kendall is present.
How does Kendall respond to this, then or later? He doesn't, of course. The implication is there for everyone at the dinner table to see. Between that and abandoning his children in the last few episodes of Season 4 I think it highlights how Kendall has come to treat his children the same way Logan did - cynical utility at the front and foremost with some minor affection that doesn't impact actual decision-making. The way someone would treat a hunting dog, for example. We knew Kendall was a bad father prior to this and his outburst was obviously misdirected but I think this specific callback to Season 2 really highlight how Kendall has wholly adopted Logan's performative love.
