Looks like Rui is off the table. Let the outrage begin I guess. I like Rui but he is also our most tradeable piece right now. Any deal to get someone like Vucevic or Poetl or Kessler + Clarkson/Sexton revolves on Rui's salary matching. I don't think this means they won't trade Rui, but it looks like it has to be a Godfather deal for the Lakers to trade him.

Everyone has their own system(s) of belief to help them navigate the world and process the information they gather. But they can all be philosophically dismantled even if not at present maybe one day. So is philosophy a pursuit of the perfect beliefs or just to find the best of all imperfect thoughts? I feel similar dread regarding symbolic logic. Like surely there must be some ultimate logical formulation that is indestructible.

 | I posted a while ago asking if my jumper (Pippin/Pippy/Pip) was an adult and what the sex might be. Many people suspected female. I tried to get a picture of her pedipalps while she ate a cricket. I'm not sure if this is good enough, but I'm curious we still suspect female. Also... I am really struggling. I am typically a mantis keeper and I'm used to super interactive mantis behavior. This is my first jumper. She is really skittish and really only comes out of her web when she's hungry. I see so many cute videos of people handling and interacting with their jumpers, but I don't think Pip trusts me. I tried handling her only once and she HATED it and was terrified. I haven't tried again since because I don't want to stress her. For now, I keep her enclosure on my desk while I'm working in hopes that maybe she'll get used to me being around. 2025.01.23 18:48 Narcoleptic-Puppy I need to rant about my SIL's idea of dog ownership
I'm just infuriated and need to get it out of my system. This woman is immune to criticism and refuses to listen to anything I have to say, but Jesus Christ on rollerskates she's a terrible dog owner. Dogs are basically stuffed animals to my SIL - she'll feed them and let them outside, but does no training, no walking, literally nothing but occasionally cuddling with them and yelling at them if they want to do anything else.
I'll start with her previous two dogs. One was a very sweet, low-energy senior who was kind of the ideal dog for someone who wants to put absolutely zero effort into owning a dog. Then she fostered a litter of husky/border collie mixes and decided to keep a puppy. Puppy grew up, was going absolutely bonkers with no exercise or mental stimulation, and eventually attacked the senior. My 2-year-old niece was in the mix, no serious damage but she did get a little scratched up and was obviously super shaken so the younger dog got put down. Older dog eventually died of congestive heart failure.
This was when she decided she wanted a new dog. She hates training, so she adopted a pre-trained washed service dog from a program that trained SDs for autistic kids. Absolutely fantastic dog, he's a gorgeous lab and the only reason he washed was because his handler was letting the kid ride him like a horsey and he growled one time when he was clearly in a lot of pain. Program has zero tolerance for that sort of thing so he got adopted out as a pet.
At first, I was pretty shocked that my SIL was actually taking him off her property because she has never done that with any dog she has owned. Then I found out she was just taking him on errands with her and passing him off as a service dog. I got on her case about that, which is literally the only time in history she has ever listened to anything I've had to say about her pet ownership, but it resulted in him just languishing at home 24/7. His training has rapidly deteriorated and he has gotten obese. He now resource guards my SIL from her kids and she does nothing to discourage it.
The kids became unhappy because their family pet became a hazard to them (on top of the resource guarding, he is also bouncing off the walls with pent-up energy so he's constantly knocking them over). So my SIL decided to get the kids a Christmas puppy: an overly-expensive designer mutt (I think yorkie/bichon). NGL y'all, as much as I disapprove of supporting backyard breeding, this puppy is really cute. But I'm seriously worried about him. The kids treat him like a toy - dragging him around by his legs, picking him up and dropping him, stuffing him into pillowcases and pretending to be dog catchers, stuff like that. Poor puppy is terrified of them but has no escape. My SIL will yell at the kids to stop but never follows through with any sort of consequences, so the behavior continues. The lab is left totally unsupervised with the puppy, and him being so energetic with no outlet has resulted in some familiar-looking escalations like with her previous dogs. No outright attacks yet but I can just see it coming.
I've tried talking, explaining, pleading, yelling, providing research, you name it. I am not listened to when I tell my SIL this is not the way. My wife and I have talked about it (she's thankfully on the same page as me when it comes to her sister) and we're both really distressed by what we're seeing. When we're there, we try to educate the kids and actually follow up with consequences, so they tend to shift into better behavior while we're present, but it goes right out the window as soon as we leave. I'm predicting that before the year is out, the kids are either going to get bit, break one of the puppy's legs, or the puppy is going to get attacked.
Oh, and to add more shit to the shitstorm, my SIL is a petsitter on rover and most of the time has 3-4 other random dogs in the house.

I want to download an older version of fl studio, FL11. I Used to love the old software and want to have the user experience again. I updated to the newest version when I was forced to buy a new laptop. Damn
Essentially I want to have the option of using FL11 and the 2024 FL.
Will it conflict with my current version of FL in any way? And if so how do I mitigate the risk?
