After tiktok was unbanned, I noticed my fyp only shows older posts, and nothing new. The newest posts are a week old, then a few weeks, then a few months. I'll get posts that have over 100k likes and over 1,000 comments already. I've already reset the feed and it's still doing the same thing. Is anyone else seeing anything similar on their fyp?

For all those interested in WW I who have largely only read about the Western Front, I would strongly encourage you to go East. I read Pritt Buttar's 4 volume history of the war on the Eastern Front years ago, and currently am working my way through Nick Lloyd's excellent single volume history of that conflict, and it reminded me just how interesting and important the conflict was in the East, and in many ways much more interesting and dynamic than the Western trench warfare. It encompasses:
- Diverse battlefields. From the vast plains and marshes of Russia and Eastern Europe, to battles in the mountains in the Carpathians, Alps, and Caucuses, deserts in Arabia and the ME, etc...
- More fluid warfare and big swings. Battles of annihilation like Masurian Lakes, big breakthrough battles like Brusilov's offensive or the lightening conquest of Romania.
- Fascinating politics. The Austro Hungarian Empire under intense pressure trying to hold things together as it's slowly hammered apart. The Russian Czar tottering on the precipice of revolution and ruin. Serbia somehow holding out against all odds for years against AH. The Ottoman Empire's performance ranging from the ridiculous to the sublime. And of course it ending with the sudden collapse of dynasties that had ruled their empires for many many centuries.
- Fascinating figures. Brusilov, Ludendorff, Hindenburg, Mackenson, Attaturk, Hotzendorf, Rasputin, the Czar and Czarina, Lenin, etc...

I am on my second watch of the show, almost through Season One. The first time I watched, I really was like, "Oh, poor Louis,"
This time -- I am more "Poor Lestat!"
I figure the point is that all the characters are meant to be problematic, where your relationship with them is always teetering a fine line of love and hate.
I still think Lestat was in the wrong on a few things - messing with Paul, killing the tenor immediately come to mind - but, he did try to be vulnerable at times with Louis and didn't get anything back. He told Louis how scared he was of being alone and Louis took that fear away. Louis barely acknowledged this.
There also seemed to be a stark difference between Lestat with Antoinette and Louis with Jonah. "I heard your hearts dancing!" It seemed that Antoinette was for fun, but Jonah was not just Louis revisiting his first love but also spitefulness to Lestat.
Louis also tried to make Lestat ashamed of his nature. Sure, we can argue that Louis only made the decision to be a vampire under extreme emotional duress and it wasn't clear thinking - but he did accept when he was asked. It doesn't seem very much that Lestat had a choice in being a vampire - I haven't read the books yet, so going purely off of the show - yet, he manages to accept what he is and live a life beyond it despite however you may describe that life. I would understand Louis just dealing with the trauma of being turned, but it just doesn't seem right to me that he would make Lestat feel bad about what he is, too.
As I type this, I am acutely aware that this is a messy romance lol. Both men were petty and cruel.
What I am building to, though, is I can see how Lestat snapped and we ended up with him dropping Louis as he did. He allowed Louis to wallow and neglect him, himself, for seven years. Louis looked at Claudia as his only anchor in this life, but Lestat was trying to be that anchor. Louis never fully allowed himself to love and be loved by Lestat - in my opinion. So, when Lestat sees that Louis is actually considering leaving him as soon as Claudia comes back... I get the anger. Lestat never left Louis - Claudia did. But still, he would choose Claudia over him. The only reason Louis felt the need to make Claudia was because he couldn't find any other reason to stay with Lestat, even though he wanted to give Louis those reasons.
Maybe I just rambled on for a hundred people on Reddit to tell me how wrong I am and I suck LOL, but man... I don't know! I just feel more empathetic towards Lestat this time around.
I think it's more that I now see that good AND bad of all the characters. I hold empathy for Louis and Claudia, too, because ultimately everyone in the show is a victim of their circumstances both before and after becoming vampires. I just find that this time my heart is a little softer to our problematic Diva.

2025.01.23 16:54 illegaltolive Questions for those who left troche sublingual ketamine therapy programs for Spravato
I left joyous for betteru and have an apt in late February to be considered for Spravato program.
I wondered if anyone who was on joyous or betteru or similar troche sublingual programs that switched to Spravato did you have a good time or did it not alleviate symptoms?
I'm Nervous about if I am approved and if it doesn't alleviate symptoms .
What dose did they start you out at, and how often?
I have a distrust of doctors and I feel like perhaps they'd give me half a spray and steal the other half and I wouldn't know. (Have had that happen with other injection and such in the past at other doctors)
I also don't think I would have even been allowed to make the apt to be considered for the program had I already not been on ketamine therapy and wanted more doctor oversight due to how the lady who answered the phone acted.
I'm nervous I may go in and then the psych may be like well we don't think this orgasm is for you but we can take you off ketamine and try some more antipsychotics or ssris and in that case I'm just going to leave and not go back.
In the case they do accept me how long does it take to schedule the first treatment? Is it long term? I have severe Tourette syndrome which is treatment resistant along with depression and ketamine has been a 360 turn around miracle.

Hey this is my first time posting here so idk about anything related to algorithm and shit,
So i (M20 ) met this girl ( F19 ) back in my 12th when I joined a coaching center during my boards, we never interacted much during the coaching, but few days later she sent me friend request on Instagram even though It's completely anonymous to everyone, I don't even follow my classmates in the coaching but somehow she found it and and sent me the req i left it pending for a few weeks then seeing as I didn't accept she sent me a DM saying why am I not accepting her request, i then in the heat of the moment had to accept it
Then as the days passed she started throwing weird signs, liking my Stories everyday and reacting to my photos ( not mine but the scenery photos i click using my dslr ) during my boards she asked me where my exam center was stationed and i told her about it and then she goes “ I wish we had the same, you would've been so helpful to me ” as her exam center was different from mine, the onwards she started texted me pretty much everyday and stated asking questions like how were my exams going and how do I study and revise etc etc,
Well most of the times i gave her dry responses and left her on seen as I wasn't interested in her but she has gotten way too clingy in the last one year, reminder I am in my 2nd year of computer science and she is doing ba, she has started asking me about my career planning and even what my pov are on marriage and my types of women, but today she asked me if i had a gf or not
I think she's interested in me but I am a person who overthinks all the time and I have a gut feeling she's trying to manipulate me or something like that, remind you she's an extremely beautiful and kind girl..well that was all i had to say I know this post will feel like a made up story but only I know my situation and what a messy situation I am in rn
