2025.01.23 20:50 jasonadvani Necessity of Larger Gas Line Size - KitchenAid KCGS556ESS
 | Hi. No help at Appliances, so I'm trying here. The KitchenAid KCGS556ESS calls for a 3/4" gas line, but it doesn't provide a compelling reason. See image. I don't think it's necessary based on total BTU requirements, but I don't want to find out the hard way. My current stove has been performing fine (and it calls for either a 1/2" or a 3/4" connection with far less technical discussion than I would have thought). It's a GE JGB660DEJ1BB. So, I've got a 1/2" gas line with 16 equivalent feet back a 1-1/4" line, at which point I assume that there is no issue. The stove that is being replaced has a total combined burner BTU rating of 84K BTU and it never had any noticeable performance issues. The new model has only up to 53K BTU. Both require a 5 in.w.c. minimum gas pressure (which won't realistically drop below 5.6 in.w.c., based on my worst-case demand calcs). Thoughts? I just found out my daughter isn’t too thrilled about my pregnancy news. When I told my kids (15, 13, and 10) that I’m expecting another baby, my sons were pretty chill about it; they seemed happy enough. But my daughter? Not so much. She didn’t really say anything or show any excitement. I get that she’s 15, and there’s going to be a 15-year gap, but I still think they’ll end up having a good bond.
She flat-out told me she’s not looking forward to the baby and doesn’t want to help at all. I asked if she would help out with making a bottle, and she just said, “No way, I don’t want to help with a baby that I didn’t ask for.” I think she’s just trying to come to terms with everything. I’m currently 22 weeks along with a little girl.

At the supermarket in Meppel, Drenthe, Netherlands, 3 Ukrainian youths gave a stray cat that has been around the store for years a blanket in a box a few weeks ago.
Today I saw that they have made a complete house for the poor animal. RESPECT for the boys and girls who carried it out! LOVE!
