2025.01.23 17:22 Possible-Link-5183 Chronic nerve pain throughout entire body
I’m making this post as a desperate attempt to seek some answers for my father’s nerve pain. He’s 54yo, 188cm, 180lbs (rough estimate). Active, great diet, etc.
For the better part of 5 years, my father has been feeling burning, pins and needles, and dull pain around his body, throughout the whole day. It all started one morning when he suddenly woke up with his palms feeling like they were completely on fire. He went to the emergency room and did multiple tests like CT scans and MRI’s. The doctors told him everything was alright and found no issues in his brain either.
Over the next few weeks, the pain would come back randomly, but wasn’t 24/7. As the weeks went by, the pain began to spread to his feet, then arms, legs, and then it was everywhere in his body, including his face.
Throughout all of this, my dad was seeing numerous neurologists and doctors, who all found nothing. He was cleared for all the “scary” nerve diseases like MS, as he wasn’t losing any function in his body, it was just constant pain throughout. He even travelled to Europe to find doctors and did numerous tests, which all came back flawless. In total, there are probably about 200 pages worth of tests, that show that he is as healthy as a 30 year old. It’s insane.
Now, some information that might be useful:
- My father had covid twice, but the symptoms arrived before he had covid, growing much stronger after he got his covid vaccine (99% a coincidence, but I should let you know)
- He has had trouble sleeping throughout his whole life. He has never gone to sleep once in his life without waking up numerous times at night. He probably sleeps about 4 hours a night.
- In 2019 he suffered a bicycle injury in which he fell on his wrist very awkwardly. (maybe he pinched a nerve..?)
Overall, my dad has done everything he can to figure out what’s wrong, but no doctor has been able to help him, unfortunately. My speculation is that maybe it’s a buildup of his lack of sleep throughout his life? I don’t know, i’m just 16 years old trying to help my dad out. If anyone has any speculation, that would be great, although I know that something like this is really difficult to figure out, especially over reddit. Any help is appreciated, and ask as many questions as necessary.

Seems like most streams these days are just AI calls. We came here to see the main event, which is Kit calling scammers and trying to waste their time. We love his comedy when doing so. The AI is far inferior to the magic Kit brings when he chats with scammers. Seems like when he finally decides to call he purposely curtails things after about an hour or so. Doesn't seem interested in REALLY wasting their time anymore. We used to see multi hour calls and we just don't get that anymore. AI calls should really only serve to talk to scammers when Kit is offline. Maybe he can introduce snippets every once in a while but Kit, the man himself, is funnier and more interesting than not very good AI voices. And lastly, bro get a space heater. You stream from your garage and it's winter and he hasn't thought to get one.

I have been thinking about making a career change lately, and trying to think of something that would be useful to the community on the island. The idea of becoming a solar technician/engineer popped into my head last night, as it seems like there might be transferable skills from my current profession.
