I never absorb what someone is saying when I’m in the middle of a “conversation” with them. I always need to step away, and think through what they said, before I’m able to provide a response. I notice that a lot of people almost always know what to say and how to respond to something being said in such an effortless manner, it makes me question why I was never able to pick up this skill, or at the very least fake it. Not to mention that I seem to completely lose all common sense in any conversation only to have a “no duh!” moment later on, after the conversation/interaction has ended and I was able to process it on my own time. This has been causing me a lot of stress lately, because my coworkers would keep asking me “well, why didn’t you just do/say xyz?” Which makes me feel inadequate and stupid.

Hi all - looking for direction - does anyone know if it is possible to send a slack dm to a user. The use case is a new lead is created and assigned to a user we want to dm them a notification via slack. From looking at the documentation it's unclear if you can dm the user directly or can only post within a slack channel. Curious if anyone has any resources on this. I'm assuming maybe you have to store the slack user id on the user record to enable this in some form factor.

Those who did the (barbri) SQE1 prep 20hrs per week whilst in full-time work. How was it?
I was wondering if anyone had any experience taking the SQE1 prep course in 20 weeks. I know it’s recommended for part-time workers but I work full time as a commercial paralegal. My company has agreed to pay for my SQE and will allow me one day off per week using a combination of study and annual leave. I’ll be aiming to put in 3 hours per day in on work days + 5 hours on the off days. So I’d be looking around 27hrs of study. Can I really cover all the material to an adequate level with 27 hours worth of study per week?
