Look, I get it. Rozemyne was amazing, fun, and quirky. And I loved her as much as the next Bookworm fan.
But can we talk about the side stories at the end of each volume, where every single character in the series seemed to be obsessively thinking about her?
The chapters from the perspective of side characters would've been great opportunities to flesh them out and make them fully realized individuals with agency. But instead, Miya Kazuki seemed to use them for the opposite reason—as tools to highlight how the entire world revolved around Rozemyne.
It went to absurd lengths. A knight dealing with relationship drama would randomly think, "I wonder what Rozemyne would advise me about this." I remember almost dropping my phone right there. Like, buddy, Rozemyne isn't a relationship counselor. Why is she living rent-free in your head during your love life?
It happened in almost every side-character chapter. I get that Kazuki wanted to show how Rozemyne had influenced the world around her. But holy hell, this quickly escalated from "Wow, what an influential protagonist" to "Are we sure this isn't a cult?"
Don't get me wrong. Ascendance of a Bookworm is still one of my favorite light novel series. But I couldn't help feeling creeped out by the side stories where every character sounded like they'd been brainwashed into the Church of Rozemyne, with no one capable of independent thought.
Anyone else feel this way?
Oh, and here's a fun idea: Make it a drinking game. Choose a side chapter at random, and take a shot every time someone thinks or talks about Rozemyne. Actually, on second thought, please don't. You'd die from alcohol poisoning.
(I wonder what Rozemyne would advise me about this post.)

And ever since then we've been talking every single day and he has invited me to his house to hang out a few times and things were going really good. and we both told each other that we wanted to be together and we were working towards that. But he went back to college and so he's a lot more busier now and so he just recently decided that it would be better if we just stay friends especially because all we kinda did was argue and i told him he didn’t have to worry about me anymore and that he can leave so he thought i didn’t care about him anymore. So my colleague's parents own a duplex. The upstairs neighbors have been renting for 6 months and they gave them notice 6 months in advance that their daughter would be moving in after their lease was up.
They refuse to move without receiving 2 months of free rent and moving expenses paid.

I’m curious as to everyone’s thoughts on what it is about physically saying out loud “I’m going to quit” or committing to someone else, like your community or even the daily challenge “today I won’t drink” that makes it seem harder and scarier to actually do it. I am afraid to commit to saying that I’m not going to drink today right now because I know later it will be really hard not to and I know that if I fail it will make it even harder on me to follow through the next time.
I struggle badly with binge-purge cycles which is why I’ve learned that I can’t just cut back but I have to completely quit drinking alcohol. Because I have proven that I can’t white knuckle it for awhile but as soon as I start it all back over again it’s so much harder to get another streak going.

Bonnie the (bot) has replied to several of my emails with the same thing, the same message, same everything, i have not gotten a single response that explains my situation and i have my appeal made fully, the account i supposedly stole was literally willingly given access to me by my friend, which i am still a friend of to this day and he has also attempted to make appeals of my behalf but cant.
This platform has stole 8 years of my life and thousands of dollars from my hands alongside a successful UGC group i was running and making money from, basically substenance, The part that pisses me off is that i am INNOCENT, and roblox support wont even read anything. What are your guy’s favorite consoles throughout generations?
Gen 1 and 2 I can’t say much about since I never owned either or
Gen 3 has to be NES for me, just too classic
Gen 4 has to be the SNES for me
Gen 5 might be a hot take but I pic the N64
Gen 6 is a really tough one but the ps2 just slightly edges out the gamecube for me, but even the xbox is a close 3rd
Gen 7 xbox 360 hands down
Gen 8 ps4 although I actually don’t like this generation that much
Gen 9 ps5, xbox series x, and the switch are all tied for me
What do you guys think?

My doctor will not be available until after the deadline for my law school application. One of the issues discussed in my discretionary statement is my recent diagnosis of adhd and the beneficial impact that a medication is having. The law school requires supporting documentation from a medical professional. The only thing I can produce at this time would be the Accommodation letter my doctor previously provided for the LSAT. Would uploading this letter as proof of my adhd diagnosis be helpful or more damaging to my application as a whole? This is what it reads:
"The candidate has been diagnosed with ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) with primarily an inattentive presentation. The patients primarily inattentive symptoms interfere with or reduce the quality of social and academic functioning. The candidate has difficulty sustaining attention, paying attention to detail, poor organization, is easily distracted by external stimuli, often loses his train of thought and can have a hard time paying attention in conversations or when spoken to directly. My dog’s trial period ends in one week and I don’t know what to do I currently have two dogs: Winnie, who I got 6 years ago and Briskit, my partner’s dog that he got 7 years ago. They don’t get along so we use a baby gate to separate the house.
I love and work with dogs, so I’ve fostered dogs every now and again (Winnie doesn’t like females). My last foster I ended up keeping. He passed away last summer.
I found a dog online by happenstance and drive an hour and a half to meet him. I instantly fell in love. I brought Winnie there twice to meet him, and they did well. I ended up bringing him home for a 2 week trial period.
On the third day, I discovered he resource guards his food and crate. This normally wouldn’t be an issue, as I’ve trained and worked with dogs with many issues, but Winnie also has food aggression. She is trained — she wasn’t allowed around food when she was with her late brother. She is fed in separate rooms. However, his resource guarding is so concentrated to his crate that if she even walks by him, he will try and attack her. She is dominant, so she will try and attack back.
Outside of the crate, there isn’t an ounce of aggression. He sleeps and leaves her alone, vice versa. I understand it’s only been a week and dogs need a couple of months minimum to decompress, so his crate aggression could be temporary, or it could get worse. There’s no way of knowing.
I keep going back and forth on whether I should keep him and work with him, potentially get even more attached or end the trial period and return him (it’s a no-kill shelter) to avoid a potential dangerous situation. They are both around 50lbs, so a fight would be very dangerous.
I guess I’m trying to ask advice on whether I should return him or not. I keep going back and forth. He has also growled at me when I had originally tried to pet him in his crate.
