2025.01.23 21:01 Hursha Problems joining session host configuration VMs
I'm trying to create a new AVD pool using the session host configuration.
Right now it goes through the ARM deployment with no errors, but the VMs it creates are not joining to the AD as they should, so they're unavailable.
I've confirmed that it has connectivity and permissions by logging in to one and joining it to the domain manually with the same creds from the key vault. When I look in event viewer I don't see any errors on the VM or on the DC.
To my knowledge the DSC extension should be configuring all of this. I've confirmed it's installed, but when I go to the logs and event viewer on the VMs there's nothing there beyond the original installation of the DSC. It's like it never gets any configuration to execute.

I work for Glasgow South West Foodbank and it's rare for use to close a Foodbank Centre! We've got no choice now with the red weather warning, public transport being off and the church we run that Centre from staying closed. Trying to spread the word as much as possible so people don't turn up and find no one there.
As far as I know, none of the other Glasgow Trussell Foodbanks are opening, nor are Renfrewshire. All vouchers/referrals will remain valid and can be used at any of our Foodbank Centres next week.
Please share to anyone you think might need to know.

When i first started living alone i got a tin of chocolate milk. I thought it was like hot chocolate and you just put it in water. It was really gross but i drank a few more cups before leaving it in the back of my pantry for years.
When i got a roommate he wanted to drink the chocolate milk. I said sure but warned him its nasty. When i walked back in the kitchen i saw him mixing it into milk and realized im a dumbass. I tried some with milk and yeah 1000x better than chocolate water.

2025.01.23 21:01 A_Big_Dumb_Animal U7 Outdoor performance concerns
Hey all,
I wired a U7 Outdoor out on my fence, with the intents of supporting my backyard, and even into my woods (where I have a Ring solar camera up).
I have changed the antenna/powechannel settings multiple times, and yet, the Ring app typically shows a weak connection to this AP, and Unifi shows the connection typically around ~70dbm.
Lately, the camera is now connecting to my house AP's, and showing 'Excellent' in Unifi, even though I'm now at ~82dbm. Yet, still shows as Weak in Ring.
The distance from the Outdoor AP to the camera is probably, ~150'ish feet? The distance to the AP's it's connecting in my house (it jumps occassionally between two of them - a U7 Pro Max and an E7), is probably closer to ~400ft.
Other devices outside (more Ring cameras ... I know, I know ... I'll convert them to Unifi at some point), also favor the house AP's when the distance is more similar. Occassionally they like to live out on the outdoor AP, but seems to always find their way back home.
I'm just questioning the value of this Outdoor AP and debating selling it at this point. If it's favoring my house AP's, further away ... hard to justify keeping it. Perhaps I'm missing something though, which is highly likely, as I'm not a smart man.
