Does it bother anyone else that the level requirements for pick axes and axes are one level above their material attack requirement? Is there any practical reasoning for this? Ex: rune pickaxes wield requires 40 attack 41 mining. I can’t think of any reason for this. Is there something in the game code that forbids it? What would be wrong just having the wield and skill requirement being the same level?
Please help or I won’t sleep tonight

I am currently staying in Durham with family and I am going a little stir crazy/ need a break from being here. Is there somewhere I can go, grab a bite and take my dog with me? Even if it's a drive in movie or a park that will allow me to park my car and eat tacos w/out being harassed.
Basically anything that could occupy me and the pup for 2-3 hrs would be appreciated.

2025.01.23 22:21 Sherifftruman Aluminum wiring in townhome built in 1984?
So, I am home inspector. Today I inspected a townhome allegedly built in 1984, that has aluminum branch circuits. I’ve looked it up on the county real estate tax records and it does indeed say 1984 (I figured maybe the listing was wrong). Has anyone seen a house using aluminum that late? It’s like a decade after pretty much every source claims its use was stopped. I’m wondering if the county has it wrong too, or it’s just some sort of real oddball. But if it was indeed built in the mid 70s, I need to warn my client about possible lead paint and asbestos in the ceiling spray.
And yes, there are other shenanigans going on in there with a Square D HOM breaker in a cutler hammer panel, and they did not install a ground lug, instead just crammed a bunch of random wires under a large lug on each side.

If you’re a young person who’s new to the BCPS, the union doesn’t support you. Look at the layoff policies in the collective agreement—seniority is all the matters. It’s not the most incompetent person on your team who will be the first to be laid off, it’s the newest member. Why would you strike for a small fraction if your regular pay when they’re just going to lay you off after the strike is over? The union is designed to extract from the young to give to the old and incompetent. The pension is the same and anyone with any investing-sense should see that clearly. Am I wrong?
