2025.01.23 19:40 garygulf People who work from home but not from the house — where do you take meeting calls?
I’m a remote worker but I need to get out of the house sometimes. However, I have at least a couple meetings a day and I can’t think of anywhere I’d be able to take those calls from in public. Do you all sit in busy places with headphones on or are there any work spaces with private rooms for this kind of thing that I don’t know about?

im currently writing a story and i have no clue what to name it.
for now i only have information about their universe and the characters, not yet a fully developed plot idea lol
their universe is one where ALL mythical creatures are fully normalized, above ground royalty are all fae, merpeople are royalty in water, everyone else is not wealthy.
Kingsley is a fae and his older brother is next in line for emperor, then it would be him. meanwhile claudia, paige and ozzy are from a different universe, ozzy and Paige are from earth, and claudia is from a different planet i also don’t have a name for yet.
claudia is safe there but she has to find out what she’s doing in this universe that isn’t hers, she’s safe cause being part god and fitting in with everyone else just seen as one of the non wealthy people.
ozzy isn’t safe, he’s fully human so he has to be hiding out from everyone on this universe, with the help of Kingsley whom he found upon hiding
Kingsley escaped his abusive environment from royalty and has been titled as missing and ran off into the woods, then finding ozzy, they hide out together.
what everyone in her og universe besides her and her parents didn’t know, Paige is a halfblood. child of ares, and that’s why she isn’t in danger when shes transported to this universe cause people here can tell when people are humans by scent.

So quick resume, I had a boyfriend for two years and he cheated on me, it was a shock and it was painful, that was like a month ago.
I text him sometimes when I’m down and he confort me pretty good. He says he regrets it and he still love me.
I’m obviously not gonna forgive him because that was my limit, but talking to him even if it’s just as a friend or something it’s really conforming.

This will probably sound beyond paranoid but….we are looking at parasailing. As I understand it, when you are finished you come down into the water and then get brought into the boat. I assume you’re only in the water for a brief period. But is there any realistic reason to be cautious on that time in the water? I’m envisioning legs being chomped on.
(I did see one parasailing operation that did the launch and retrieval all from the deck of the boat but their age restrictions didn’t fit our family)

Female UK 24y/o Ok so last month I went to the eye clinic (due to having a week long headache and intermittent blurry vision in that time) and was told I had papilleodema and was sent down to the main hospital for more tests. I had a CT scan and these were the results "she was investigated with a CT head and venogram study, which was reported as essentially normal (no VST) except for a possible perivascular space vs lacunar infarct in the left basal ganglia, and a low-lying right cerebellar tonsil." (Not really sure what this means) I then had a lumbar puncture, which confirmed an elevated opening pressure of 33 cmH2O. I've been given medication to bring the pressure down but I'm still having crazy bad head pains, dizziness, eye pain everything. I actually feel worse than I did before I went to hospital. Is this just because of the high pressure? Or could it be something related to what was found on the CT scan? The neurologist has referred me for an MRI, why would I need an MRI when I've already had a CT scan? Can you see more on an MRI? What would they be looking for? I haven't been given much info as the consultant in the hospital was so busy and just said take the meds and see how u get on. Any info would be really helpful!

In these frames from the latest redraw chapter, Flash is talking about how the Ninja Village was potentially founded just to make minions for God. Meanwhile in the background a swallow seems to bring its chicks a worm, so I think that is a metaphor that ties in Flash's theory with Void's plan that was revealed to us in the previous chapter. I think what it means is that in the redraws Void will have been giving the ninjas in the village small pieces of God's power and allowing them to assimilate this power for themselves, making God unable to mess with them and take it back whenever he wanted to. Blast may have found out about it and thought it too risky to continue which got him and Void into an argument. This would make Void's plan somewhat less dumb than in the previous iteration and could potentially serve as the reason as to why Void and Blast fought 15 years prior and why Blast destroyed the Ninja village.
