I saw that QNAP just recently put out an unmanaged 5 port 10GbE switch QSW-3205-5T. My other consideration is the managed MikroTik CRS304-4XG-IN for 4 port. They are similarly priced in my location. I don't have other MikroTik equipment. Is it worth it to go managed while having 1 less port?

Hi all! I'm asking this question for a friend. I'm currently an engineer in an environmental branch with the state, and am encouraging a few of my friends who are in the market for a new job to apply for some Environmental Scientist positions.
Of course, its the state, so many of the jobs never really get back to the applications submitted, but I'm wondering for their sake, what are some of the things that one would look for in an ES designation?
Both have BS degrees in related/applicable fields, and some experience with ES.

An online friend is working for a small clothing company, and I read their about me page. Itâs written pretty badly. I work as a typist and studied PR, but donât have a portfolio. I just want to fix this page on their website for them so it doesnât read so poorly.
However, Iâm worried about if I can even do this without being an employee. I know people say never work for free. I was going to offer to improve it for free since Iâm the one offering, and that they can use the changes if they want to.
I also wanted to add it to a possible portfolio, but wasnât sure how to do this in a way that I can prove itâs my writing since my name wonât be on my page and Iâm not an employee. Should I just forget about it and move on or is there a way to do this?
Also, AITA for even insinuating the page is written badly? I have gotten other peopleâs opinions on the page and they agree. I would obviously word it in a non-offensive way if I offered to do this change.
