I've suffered from constipation for a long time but it's gotten worse in the last few years. I was finally diagnosed with refractory constipation and started the process of getting surgery like a stoma or whatever they could do.Then in September of last year, I had this sudden onset severe pain in my lower right quadrant and it was so bad I thought I was dying. ER did a CT and ruled out kidney stones and appendicitis and sent me home. But the pain has not stopped and continues to get worse. I've been hospitalized 5 times between September and October and have seen 8 specialists up til now. All of them dismiss me, minimize everything, or tell me it's probably nerves and we can't fix that. Only imaging done from September through end of December was 1 CT scan and one transvaginal ultrasound.
One of the many specialists I saw trying to rule out possibilities of cause was an OBGYN who I had to wait two months to see. He dismissed endo almost immediately. Said my pain is chronic and not cyclical and I just don't have the symptoms to indicate endo. I refused to be passed off again and insisted he order at least a pelvic MRI. He did. Results came back 1/10 and he messaged the following day telling me l need to be seen by an Endo specialist/ surgeon. Couldn't answer not even one of my questions (which is why I'm here).
The MRI showed extensive deep infiltrative bowel endometriosis with my ovary adhered to my small bowel, my uterine wall adhered to my rectum, widespread adhesions throughout uterosacral area and uterosacral ligament. He said he'd never seen such a severe case on an MRI because usually endo can't be seen on imaging and requires laproscopy to confirm but mine is so bad and gotten so severe that an MRI picked it up. The OBGYN didn't have any answers for me but by follow up appointment with my GI pain management doctor was at least a little helpful.
She saw my MRI and agreed that the findings are severe and in her professional opinion, the endo specialist will want to do surgery asap as soon as she can get a colorectal surgeon to scrub in with her because the surgery will require a team of specialties. I can't find any stories similar to mine so I just want to know, is my pain management doctor right in thinking surgery is going to be done and soon or do you think she'll still make me wait or want to try something else before surgery despite the extent of the damage and the high risk for small bowel obstruction? less

Hi all, 31F. I have awful, awful, AWFUL endometriosis pain. It is debilitating (especially during my time of month). The last month has been the most painful I've ever experienced and I've been referred to get an epidural steroid injection next week for the pain. I also have very loud, multi-tone tinnitus. Does anyone know of any interaction they've had or heard of having? Google gave me mixed results. TIA.

Just read through a thread wondering about best cities outside of LA for film work, but they strictly wanted set/directing experience. As for me, I’m interested in doing corporate work. Corporate communications, HR, marketing. These things.

got a call that i have been assigned a wellness nurse to check on me biweekly via phone call and a “remote patient monitoring” app called Empwr. from what i can tell- it has physical therapy, meditations and more for free but anything you write in the reflections and your daily mood and activities are relayed to my PM nurse and doctor.
please share if you’ve used this program before or if your PM team has ever hired someone to call and check on you ?

I've been actively experimenting for several weeks to isolate and resolve a hum/buzz in my recording setup. I've read a lot of Reddit posts and blogs with similar problems, but I'd like to get some opinions and solutions.
I recently bought a UA Volt 1 and Shure SM-4 to break into the world of producing my own music. The issue is only when I try to record with the mic, though recording guitar (DI) is pretty noisy too.
Here are the things I've tried:
The standard setup I want is my laptop powered from the wall outlet, the interface powered from the laptop, and the mic going into the interface. Quite noisy. I've also tried the interface powered separately (on the same power strip or on a separate outlet). Still noisy. I've tried the interface in standalone in one outlet in every room of the house. Some are more noisy than others, but all are still pretty bad. I've tried plugging the mic into my Zoom H5 and roamed throughout the house. This was telling because some places were totally silent and others had a terrible buzz, especially near TVs and lights.
The house I'm living in was built in the early 60's and the owner was a real DIYer (or do it as cheaply as possible). I wouldn't be surprised if the house's wiring or grounding was the issue.
How do I move forward? I don't have a ton of money to drop (as you can see with the interface and mic), but if it's just buying a ground loop isolator I can do that. But I'd hate for a surge to wreck my gear if the power went out because then I'd be SOL. I attempted putting a DI box with a ground lift between the mic and the interface, but that flips the male/female connections of the cable.
