Three years have passed since Kof XV graced us with its presence , this game was maginificent on many fronts , however like with every game it was not perfect and i couldn't help but feel it was outshined by other prominent games at the time like Street Fighter 6 and Tekken 8 (both series that i love dearly like KOF) with that said im making this post to discuss things that could potentially make it even better , before i start this is only my headcanon ideal scenario for the game , if you have other ideas im looking forward to hearing them in the Comments down below , now let's do it :
- tone down and reduce the amount of Supers /Cancels within combos : i realize this is a polarizing take but i kinda feel the cancels are way too much , especially between Super moves , i would make it that the only Max Cancel avaliable is the one between Supers level 1 and 3 (just like in Kof XI) and also only one Super for every character should get the Level 2 Upgrade (Just like in Kof XIII) and lastly the Level 3 Super could only be used when the HP nears its end (becomes red)
- add more stages :
Gesse Office Stage for the Southtown Team (reminiscent of AOF2 and Neowave)
Wilderness in Feudal Japan time for the Samsho team
Wasteland for the Mid-boss opponents (more on that in a moment)
- Roster changes / additions :
Bring back American Sports team (long overdue)
Bring back Shen (should have been included with Duo Lon trailer) , Oswald and Hein
Replace Goenitz with Orochi himself and as for the remaining boss characters : Krizalid , Zero , Igniz , Mukai and Human Saiki should suffice (not ALL bosses need to be included imo)

2025.01.23 21:11 Frankly__P My PS1 has arrived. Can I get into "developer mode" without signing in or using any app?
I always intended to use this thing with SD cards, even before the recent troubles. It's the way I've been 3D printing for years and I like it. Slice, save to card, put card in printer on table beside me, print. I've never even used the WiFI on the printers I already have. I don't need or want any of what Bambu Handy or Bambu Connect offers. Am I required to install them at all? I've used Bambu Slicer already to prepare some files while I was waiting for the printer.

2025.01.23 21:11 actual_griffin What I Have Learned From Posting Over 1,000 Shorts.
Not gaming. TL;DR at the bottom.
There have been a lot of questions recently from people with questions about why views on their shorts plateau. And they are perfectly reasonable questions. I just wanted to share what I think I know after posting about 400 of them. All of the content on my personal channel is either me talking to a camera about food or interviewing a restaurant owner. On my work channel, it is mostly clips from a real estate radio show. Everything is shot by me. About ten million views across two channels, and a few million more on TikTok and Instagram.
Almost all Shorts all have a plateau. That plateau varies from video to video, but apart from very rare exceptions, there will be one. I've had videos that stopped right at 5,000 or 10,000. I've had ones that stopped at 1,500. I've also had videos that stopped at 3,000 but then started climbing up to 2.8 million before stopping again.
It happens across platforms. Some videos will spike on one platform and not another. But sometimes, a video just kind of works for some reason. I just had a video for work that got 3 million on TikTok, 5.4 million on Instagram and 1.2 million on YouTube. But then, they just stop.
A video we posted on Tuesday on my work channel has hundreds of shares with an 79.6% average percentage viewed. It hist 13.9 thousand, and YouTube just decided it was done playing with that toy.
On my personal channel, I posted over 400 shorts over about two years. They were all more or less exactly the same video. The only thing that changed was the food I was reviewing, and the specific jokes. After a year or so, I had one climb up to 2.8 million when most of them would hover around 10-30 thousand.
The biggest thing I've learned from all of that is that it doesn't always make sense. There was no reason for that video to perform that much better than the others. It wasn't a trending topic. It wasn't particularly well written. For some reason, it just got promoted. Until suddenly, it didn't.
The other thing I learned is that Shorts views can lead to increased views on long form content, but almost certainly will not. My personal channel has 8.3 million views total over 418 videos, and has never met the threshold for monetization. People that watch Shorts are a different kind of person. You could tell them that you have their family suspended above a vat of lava, and all they had to do to set them free is to click on the related video. They might do it, but they would have to really think about it. My long form content is more or less the same thing they see on my Shorts. They will watch twenty 60 second videos before they watch one eight minute video. They would simply rather die.
TL;DR – Nearly every short has a life cycle. They can get 200 views and stop. They can get five million views and stop. And you might think you know what will work, but you most likely don't. That’s just how they are.

Okay so I am choosing between multiple PhD offers (in different EU countries). Naturally there are more things to consider like a nice supervisor, interest in the project, decent pay etc. By now my choice is not as clear to me as I am enthusiastic about multiple!!
The thought just struck me but.....one of the projects involves zebrafish and I would be the only person in the department working with them. There are resources for me to get trained at a different institute to work with the fish. The thought just hit me that, if I am the only fish person, I might have no work-life balance if I end up having to feed fish every day. Including weekends. I found a paper with instructions to build an automated feeder system but it seems not to be a standard thing you can order. Sorry guys this seems like such a dumb thing to get worked up about but I need some practical advice. There's a shared technician between labs that can work for me on average 1 day per week but I am sure they won't say yes to coming on a weekend day....
For context: I will be doing experiments on ZF embryo's that don't require ethical review but I am seeing that this hurdle may arise maintaining the colony to get my embryo's from.

Ok, so a few months ago I completed TLOU1 and absolutely fell in love with the story, characters, everything about the setting, the game play, and is probably if not my favorite game of all time. So if you are anything like me and loved part 1, you’d wanna play part 2. I started my playthru and,(btw if you are still reading and don’t want it spoiled stop now) got to the part where Joel dies. And if you want me to be honest, as much as I adore Joel as a character, I was okay enough with him dying. You want to know why I was okay with it? One, because I “thought” that I would go on a badass mission to kill everyone Abby loves and Abby herself. In all fairness I was absolutely loving the game until I got to the theatre scene where Abby’s bitchass comes in and fucks up the game. This is where it went downhill, and I mean completely. I thought after this bitches dad unstuck some zebra that it would end the flashback and let me play as Ellie to get revenge and kill her, but NO. I CANT BELIEVE THEY BOTCHED THE ENDING SO BAD. I WOULDVE HAVE BEEN FINE IF I DIDNT HAVE TO PLAY AS ABBYS BIG ASS FOR THREE FUCKING DAYS AND ALMOST HALF THE GAME, I MEAN WHAT WHERE THEY THINKING?? Just flash forward to Santa Barbra and the ending would have been okay enough for me EVEN without Abby dying like she should have, but what I’m not okay with is that I SAT THROUGH THIS WHOLE THING PLAYING ABBY HOPING THAT ID GET TO WATCH HER DIE BUT NOOO, SHE LET HER GO?!?!? I DONT CARE ABOUT ANYTHING ELSE, THE GAMEPLAY WAS GREAT AND THE GRAPHICS WERE PROBABLY THE BEST IVE SEEN BUT HOLY FUCK! If I could get a refund and know THAT is what happened, after slugging thru playing Abby as fast as I can it ends with Ellie letting her go. Good lord.

Hi guys,
I need some advice on dealing with negative feelings and staying motivated. I’m currently stuck in a job that I’ve been wanting to leave for years. As you can see from the title, I didn't succeed, it is pathetic and is eating me. Many applications have been sent, but most were either rejected or just mainly ghosted. I’ve managed to get a few interviews, but they didn’t work out, mostly because I didn't have as much experience as others, didn't have good enough cultural fit, or just simply because of discrimination (I don't speculate, they told it straight to my face). I began to feel hopeless and worried about my life being wasted on this non-important job.
I’m still trying to push forward by sending out more applications, but staying positive feels harder each day. It’s draining to put so much time and effort into something and not see results. On top of that, my commute takes hours because of the abnormal delays in the train system here. The time I spent waiting for the trains was the time I started to question the meaning of my life.
How do you guys keep a positive attitude and a hopeful spirit to continue these days? Any advice would be appreciated

2025.01.23 21:11 Space_0pera Encounter Balance in D&D 2024 – Am I Missing Something?
Hey everyone, I’m currently running Dragon of Icespire Peak in the 2024 edition of D&D for a group of three level 2 characters: a fighter, a paladin, and a warlock. Recently, they faced a manticore (CR 3, 700 XP), which, according to the encounter building rules, should have been overwhelmingly deadly for them. The encounter budget for a deadly fight at their level is supposed to be 600 XP (200 per player), meaning the manticore was well beyond what they should have been able to handle.
However, despite the fighter going down at one point, the paladin managed to bring him back, and the warlock and paladin ended up with a fair amount of HP left. The fight felt tense, but at the same time, it seemed like they had enough healing and defensive options to stay in control and recover when needed. It makes me wonder—shouldn’t this fight have been way more challenging?
My players are experienced with video games, so they do have decent tactical awareness, but they’re not power gamers who optimize every little detail. I’ve also tried to run the encounter by the book, making reasonable decisions without going for the absolute optimal tactics as the DM.
It’s clear that player power has increased in this edition, and while the new Monster Manual is on the way, I have a feeling it won’t completely offset the power creep we’re seeing.
So, I’d love to hear from experienced DMs—how are you handling encounter balancing in this new edition? Are you adjusting things on the fly, increasing enemy numbers, or modifying stat blocks? Any tips or insights would be greatly appreciated!
