2025.01.23 22:10 ImmediateBends Need and want license but so scared of driving alone!🥲
Hey so I’m 21, and never have gotten my license. I started driving when I was 16/17 and gained some driving hours then but I literally have not gotten behind the wheel since…. I am going for a new job that would require me to have a license so I’ve booked in driving lessons then hopefully in a month or so I can go for my test. Only thing is I’m SO scared of driving, same way I was when I was a teen and now im thinking about how I’ll have to do it by myself.
I just feel SO behind and all my friends have had full licenses since they were 18 so they are so much more experienced. The thing is I really do want my license but then I think about the idea of driving somewhere BY MYSELF with no one else in passenger seat helping me out and I am terrified. It’s SO dumb because I think I am generally an intelligent person yet I feel like an idiot in regards to driving and road rules and all that jazz- it just doesn’t click for me for some reason.
Also not sure if I’m alone in this but everytime I’ve driven. I always drift without realising because the driver seat isn’t in the middle of the car if that makes sense? I feel like my special awareness is SO bad in cars and it scares me.
Has anyone else had some success with this issue?

I'm an Israeli reservist. I've been following along with some of the the discussions here. I've been wondering...
In Israel we have a universal draft. Male draftees serve for 3 years. If they draft I to one of the top units think: pilots, something like delta something like seals something like PJs the service is longer. The thinking is if training takes 2+ years the army needs you for longer to justify it. They also tend to do a lot of reserve duty.
Do green berets have to serve longer than typical soldiers? Do you guys have to do reserve duty after you get out?

Ich hatte ein paar Fragen bzgl. dieses Themas:
1 Ich bin als Angestellte seit fast 3 Jahren freiwillig gesetzlich versichert, bei TK. Die offizielle Ankündigung von der Zusatzbeitragserhöhung habe ich von der TK vor 2 Wochen erhalten. Wenn ich in die PKV wechseln möchte, muss ich das bis zum Ende dieses Monats (also 31. Jan) tun, um das Sonderkundigungsrecht (2 Monate Kundigungsfrist) bekommen zu können? Sonst wäre die normale Kündigungsfrist 12 Monate.
Oder kann ich, weil ich schon mehr als 12 Monate (“Bindungsfrist“?) bei dem gleichen Versicherer war, ruhig nach einem geeigneten PKV Angebot suchen und erst irgendwann im Feb bzw. März die GKV aufkündigen, was wiederum ein “effective end date of GKV insurance coverage“ von 30. Apr bzw 31. Mai bedeuten würde...und nicht erst irgendwann in 2026.
2 Wie kontaktiere ich eine PKV am besten? Ich habe was von „Honorarberater“ gehört, aber auch einige, die sagten, einfach über Check24 und dann direkt die PKV anrufen. Ziel ist, ehrlich erklären zu können was ich möchte bzw. vorhabe (bspw. meine Auswanderungspläne in ein paar Jahren - ich bin Ausländer) , mit dem Wissen, dass mein Ansprechpartner kein “conflict of interest“ hat, mir was zu verkaufen.
3 Bonus Tipps – wenn ihr schon in der PKV seid, was würdet ihr mir konkret empfehlen? 35M, ledig, ~95K Brutto, keine Kinder geplant, soweit gesund (Arztbesuch vllt einmal im Jahr), 100% Home Office / Null beruflicher Stress..

Since January of this year, I've been experiencing pretty bad panic attacks and I have been unable to sleep or do things because of it. I've tried several different antidepressants and I can't tell if it's working or not.
I have an appointment with a PT in April and I've been waiting for it to be confirmed I have a genetic disorder. Is there any way to tell if I have it or not?

2025.01.23 22:10 Gregsbouch House was wired for 220v running into the side one car garage by some previous owner.
I asked the guy I bought the house from what’s the deal with the 220v breaker in the basement. He said he had no clue.
I spoke with my neighbor and he said the owner back around 2006 was an electrician by trade and he wired the side the attached one car garage for 220v and used it as a wood shop.
I’m picking up a plug in hybrid car on Monday and want to get an electrician out here to possibly wire it so I can plug the car into it.
On the panel in the basement it’s a double breaker and it’s just labeled “220”
In the side garage is this box with a double breaker as seen in the photos. What am I looking at here?
The side garage has 6 outlets, and flipping the 220v breakers in there does cut power to 3 of them but the rest are on the main garage breaker.
I’m not going to go at it myself, but I just to want to waste a professionals time if it’s not possible.
