Hi I’m about to try temping agencies although I haven’t worked for about 6-7 months as an RDA because the office got really toxic and I was pretty much the only assistant and instead of getting help, I kept getting more work so I finally quit my office. I have about 4yrs of experience. I tried looking for a different profession but it’s been difficult to get hired here in San Antonio, Tx for a different work.
My question is once I sign up for Princess Dental Staffing and Cloud Dentistry, how soon do I get my first booking? Should I also create accounts on other websites/ apps like GoTu and Tempmee?

It’s my first ever time playing Arkham knight. I was so excited to beat the crap out of Arkham knight and scarecrow after talking so much shit all game. However all the boss fights are basically hide and seek with the Batmobile (except Jason fight) which was a hide and seek without the car. Even deathstroke. As well as all the other villains. So disappointing in my opinion. But want to hear you guys opinion.

I recently received the great news that I’ve been admitted to The Ohio State University in the CEGE program for PhD. I’m really excited about this opportunity, but I’m still waiting on funding details.
I have been informed that funding decisions will be made in spring, with fellowship results in late February and GRA funding decisions following. Final answers are expected by early March.
I thought funding info would be provided along with admission, but it looks like I won’t know until March. I’m curious if anyone here has been through a similar situation or has advice on how to approach this waiting period. Is this timeline normal for OSU?

I'm sure they just cooked this up quick for the event but god damn is it terrible and buggy as hell. I'm not one to praise OW but Lucioball was 1000x better then whatever this one's called idk how they thought anyone would enjoy this. I could tell from the trailer it was probably going to be boring just walking the ball in to the net with barely any movement but playing it was even worse and I was kind of hyped because I love Rocket League and Luicoball but this was a complete disappointment and definitely won't be playing this mode outside of completing the event challenges for the skin of course.
Does anyone actually enjoy this mode or do you guys feel the same way?

2025.01.23 22:20 Late_Notice02 It feels unsettling being a POC professional in the wake of all of the DEI controversy.
I work in Private Equity on the Product Control/Valuation side of the business. I'm not closing deals but it's still a pivotal part of the process. My background is in Accounting and Finance and I went to one of the best state schools in the US. Graduated with honors (3.8 GPA) and I'm a CPA. I'm extremely good at my job and I've been personally endorsed by several CFOs that I've worked directly with.
I'm also Black. It's fucked because the discussion around DEI and the criticism of it makes seem as if it's easier to get into these roles if you're non-white. But, I fucking struggled to get every opportunity I got and I got turned down from plenty of opportunities that I was perfectly qualified for. I worked incredibly hard to get all of my opportunities, thousands of resumes, job fairs, and unpaid internships before getting to where I'm at. Not to mention that I'm often one of only 2 or 3 Black people in any firm I've worked at. At my current firm, I'm the only Black person on the deal team. The only other Black people in the firm are in HR.
When I started out as an analyst after finishing my undergrad, I used to get grilled hard. People used to ask me a lot more questions than they would ask some of the other newcomers. They would ask me about school, my GPA, if I had internship experience, or if I knew someone who worked there already. But, none of the other White new grads would get grilled the same way. It often felt like I couldn't afford to mess up because all of the eyes were on me and people were waiting to see if I would fail.
Sometimes, I have to wonder if my colleagues or even my bosses and other upper management don't really care about my job aptitude and just see me as another diversity hire. I already have to have it in the back of my mind that I might not be treated fairly because I'm Black, I work hard as hell to counteract that. All of this DEI talk nudged that dread to the front of my mind. I'm trying my best to stay positive but it's tough.
My ancestors fought so that I could go to college and have these opportunities in the first place. It's fucked that this shit still exists.
I don't even really agree with DEI or any with a system that gives leeway to applicants based on race, it's like setting people up to fail. But, conservatives turn that DEI shit around and make White dudes feel like victims.
Now, I have to deal with the consequences of that and wonder how they feel about me at work.

Ahoy there folks! I'm a huge fan of Kill Team and Underworlds, Necromunda and other skirmish games.
WarCry interests me. The Duo/Trio/Quad mechanic interests me. I love the models (Horns of Hashut for a start).
However, with limited budget, I find myself more interested in buying new Kill Teams and Underworlds Warbands than actually painting and playing WarCry.
I own Horns of Hashut, have a load of Skaven for AOS that also don't get used. I just find that WarCry... Doesn't inspire me to dive in?
I've never been a fan of "points" as list creation, I find it always ends up with being slightly under with nothing to spend on, and I feel 940 VS someone who has exactly 1000 already feels like a disadvantage.
The lack of recent updates also has me reluctant to jump in.
So, long story short... How do I get into this? The rules look fun, but the points irk me. I've heard it can be really unbalanced at times anyways. Are there good Chaos/Flesh-Eaters/Hashut/Skaven teams to go for? What inspired YOU to live WarCry?
I promise this isn't some edge-bait, I want to be inspired and I figure learning what others love, might help!!
