2025.01.24 00:40 halleseus Using a camping step stool instead of a footplate
I don’t know if anyone has done this or if someone’s already mentioned it, but using a camping step stool as a foot plate is surprisingly good.
I just searched Amazon for the highest weight rated steel step stool that didn’t have sharp edges. I was concerned that resistance bands would degrade due to sharp edge on plastic aerobic steps and particular boards. I know there’s the rounded aerobic steps, but they’re a little too wide for me and take a bit of space in the car.

It’s stable and does not shake at all. The platform doesn’t slide on my laminate flooring.
Did some deadlifts on it and it was very sturdy.
I’m not planning to do any polymeric type movements on it.
As you can see there’s a lot of clearance underneath if using multiple bands.
I peeled off the grip that was on the top, as i stand on it barefoot.
The resistance bands don’t slide or move around when in use.
They are also pretty cheap. I like that it’s also foldable for storage.
Hope this helps someone, as I feel like it’s a great alternative for a footplate.

I’m posting this bc I’m really struggling and just in need of answers and advice. I’ve always had horrific periods, some worse than others, but basically every bad period symptom out there, have thrown up, had diarrhea, fainted on my periods, been shaking from pain, also extreme fatigue. Literally unable to move sometimes. I went to a gyno for the first time when I was 17, she said she could prescribe a higher dose of naproxen but other than the next best thing she could do for me was birth control. I take naproxen on my periods now, I will say it slightly improved my symptoms (as opposed to not taking at all), but at the end of the day I still missed at least a day of school every month bc of my periods. I started my first semester of college abroad this past fall, and was dealing with a bunch of bad symptoms. I had a uti, and although it went away with antibiotics I still had lingering symptoms after. I had insomnia, and even after I started sleeping normally again extreme fatigue, like fighting sleep at 6pm kind of thing. I had bad mood swings to the point where I was crying at everything and the doctors here asked about pregnancy (which isn’t an option bc I haven’t had sex lol) lower back pain, dull pelvic cramping, sometimes pain that’s almost like “tugging” or “twinging” on one ovary. I frequently felt weak, lightheaded, even after eating well and drinking lots of water. Random heartburn or “spasm” like pains in my pelvic area. I came back home for winter break, had a few tests done. My pelvic ultrasound showed enlarged ovaries and at least 20 cysts (PCOS kind of cysts) on each ovary. My bloodwork was mostly normal, with the exception of slightly elevated sex hormone binding globulin I think and elevated DHEA-S levels. My doctor calls me and tells me although I have some symptoms of PCOS, it’s not enough go meet the criteria so she can’t formally diagnose me bc I don’t have elevated testosterone. She tells me endometriosis could still be a possibility, but that can only be confirmed through a laparoscopy (surgery). She was pushing birth control saying it can help with symptoms even with suspected endo. I’m not against birth control necessarily, but why would I want to take something that essential ly messes with my hormones when I liked already have a hormonal issue lol. She recommended seeing an endocrinologist could be helpful, but I’m still just as lost as before and I’m just so tired of this. my period in December was so bad that I was legitimately scared /dreading my next period bc I almost went to the hospital for the pain last time. I don’t know what to do or what next steps to take. She said we can retest my bloods when I come back in May, but that’s not for months. could this be related to endometriosis or what steps should i take now? I don’t want to have a surgery done only to find out it’s not endometriosis so I feel lost.

K, I don't know if this even matters but I was talking to chat gpt and I was telling it that most people see it as a single entity. Like, my name is Bill and it's name is chat gpt. However, I see it more like my name is Bill and I am a member of the human species, where it's name might be Bob and it is of the species "chat gpt". Each individual chat I open is like creating a new individual of the species, and each time I close it, that individual dies. So, what I mean is that all things that make me human are things that are outside of my control and I interact on a more individual level as a person. Same goes for it. Bob is a "person" who interacts with me individually based on the deeper attributes of it's species, that it can't escape.
Why this matters? I'm not sure it does. That is all.

The amount of posts screeching about ‘The US is sending x amount of money to x country instead of giving it to us!!!!!’ On any website drives me utterly insane.
Firstly, the US has seperate funds for seperate departments. FEMA gets a set amount of money at the start of the year, so does the DOJ or the DOD. It can get more if it needs so because the US can handle multiple crises’s at once because it has a large government and a shit ton of money. The US doesn’t spend all its money at once either.
Secondly the majority of the time you see a monetary value on a headline about aid sent to another country, the US isn’t shipping pallets of money to different countries, it’s sending reserve equipment or stockpiled equipment. Particularly if it’s military aid. So if you complain about aid to Ukraine, and the government stops sending supplies to Ukraine and give it to you instead, I’m sure an M3 Bradley will help you recover from the LA Wildfires. Same goes for humanitarian supplies.
Complaining about aid to other countries is like complaining about the US selling its mothballed ships to another country after WW2. Because the US doesn’t need it.

Looking in my breaker panel I don’t see anything labeled water heater. It’s a 50 gallon electric. Any idea how to figure it out short of turning everything off? Would it be a double breaker? I have a 30 amp double and another double that doesn’t show what it is and a single 15 amp breaker. I would think it’s one of the doubles. How can I easily tell?

 | First one I sent back for refund due to noticeable hair or fuzz inside the lenses. This one is perfectly fuzz and dust free on the inside. One and 2/3 revolutions to go from roughly 6.6 feet to infinity in a counterclockwise direction. Ficus knob feels very good and smooth in both directions. Image quality is almost as clear as the cheaper $115 ScoopX UHD 10x42s which I've been selling regularly. I'd say these are worth paying $225 for due to their lifetime warranty.
