Like many kids my age, I grew up with Disney and Walden Media's film adaptations of The Chronicles of Narnia.
But after watching a YouTube video by Ink and Fantasy, I find it rather ironic that Disney was involved in the film adaptations. Because what if I tell you that C. S. Lewis himself HATED Walt Disney?
When C. S. Lewis saw Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs with his good friend, J. R. R. Tolkien (author of The Lord of the Rings), they both had complaints about it.
YouTube channel, Into the Wardrobe, told me (via comment) that Tolkien's problems with Disney was similar to that of his issues with the Narnia series. Tolkien also made it clear that he didn't want Disney adapting his stories. (Because of my problems with modern Disney, I would have said the same thing.) C. S. Lewis' problems with Disney had more to do with the sanitization.
Both men also agreed that they disliked Disney's portrayal of the dwarves.
Now, if C. S. Lewis were alive today, how do you think he would feel about Disney taking part in Walden Media's adaptations of his books?

I M19 have about 17 thousand saved currently in a high-yield savings account. My only fixed expenses are my mom's PG&E bill which comes out around 250 a month as well as gas and insurance on my truck. We have an agreement in place that while I am in college finishing my bachelor's I can stay at her house as long as I pay that one bill. Should I keep this money in the HYSA in case that agreement changes or would it just be smarter to invest that money since I really do not need that money any time soon?

Good evening,
To start, yep, I should have checked my paystubs closer. First job as salary but split between two businesses(two paychecks) so as long as the number seemed right I didn't bother. Dumb, I know.
I got my tax info for this past year yesterday and I noticed the first box on the right that is labeled "federal taxes" is blank. I've never seen this but I'm assuming this means that there have been zero federal taxes taken out (but state was..)I shot an email to my business CPA who handles that portion of my income and have yet to get an answer.
I'm guessing this is going to end with me owing a helluva lot more than I considered?
I appreciare any help.

I'll be visiting SF next week and am looking for places that serve ultra modern specialty coffee. I prefer coffee closer to the light/ultralight/nordic light side of things so I'm not interested in any of the early third wave spots like Sightglass/Ritual/etc. I keep hearing about Coffee Movement and have plans to visit there but I am looking for a few more. I'd also love to know any spots in the city where I can buy local roasters like Hydrangea, Flower Child, Moonwake, minmax. I heard I can get some of them at CoRo but I'm not sure I'll have enough time to get across the Bay so I'd like to avoid that if possible.
