hi! I need some advice, Iām currently in texas working on getting my BSN! I graduate this august from utmb and Iāve notice with the class above us graduating are having a hard time finding residenciesā¹ļø
I really would love to work in the NICU Iām currently doing my clinicals at TCH but heard the spots are so limited there! With that being said my gpa isnāt the greatest Iām at a 3.01 (i regret doing an accelerated program lol) and I did work as a cna for about a year before getting into nursing school.
I would really love to stay in Houston but knowing how competitive/limited spots are what are other areas out of state that would give me a better chance? Should I even relocate if I donāt get a residency? Iām still going to apply to TCH and MHC and hope that I still have a chance.

Right now I'm listening to "sky city" and I really get disappointed every time I hear this song. It was a song that I really liked, but those AI verses completely ruin this song.
I wanted to know how you guys are dealing with with the use of AI in the music industry.
We all know that Ye is extremely influential and trendsetting. Both we and he know that AI is the future of many things, which is one of the reasons he is making that film with AI. And that's something that worries me, AI in music pisses me off.
Honestly, the AI accusations of timeless make me sad.

Hello. Iām having a very annoying problem where it seems like half my chess.com daily games are unrated for some reason. Thereās no way to see the setting on my phone as far as I know and I just donāt know wtf is going on. At the end of any daily game itās a 50/50 if I will gain/lose rating or if there will just be no rating change. Very annoying to play a long good game then get no reward..
Can anyone advise what is happening here? Thereās no way to see if my games are rated or not..? Why? I have never untoggled the rating tab in custom game settings.
I donāt have access to desktop computer to see if thereās more info about my games there. If it helps my username is m-sorrenti And the game I just finished against Ashton gave me no rating.

I am writing this for several reasons. I donāt post often on Reddit or anywhere really, especially personal things. I donāt even like writing that much, but Iām struggling and I am hoping itās cathartic for me or helpful for someone else struggling.
I am a 100% service-connected USMC infantry combat veteran from Iraq and I depend on the Veterans Administration for my healthcare. I am also diabetic and canāt get the VA to fill the prescription for the medication I use to manage it. I am within the healthy weight range for my height, I exercise, and have done my best to control what I can control since being diagnosed.
I have only been on it for a year, but the side effects of not having it have been rough. Frequent headaches, upset stomach, and dizziness spells. I am going on day 4 without meds and right now, moving at all is a struggle. I will survive until my appointment without it because I am relatively young and relatively fit, but I canāt help sitting here worrying about how much time this is shaving off of the end of my life.
I tried to refill my regular prescription at the local VA pharmacy and they have refused to fill it. They said I havenāt been seen since the end of 2023, my last annual exam, which is accurate because when I tried to schedule it last year, the soonest appointment was four months out, and I still have that appointment. They also donāt believe I have a primary care physician because their systems arenāt showing it, even though I have an appointment with the same doctor as the last exam in early February.
The only reason Iām going through this is because no one at the VA pharmacy is willing to contact my doctor or make an effort to confirm I actually have an appointment. I started the refill early last week to prevent going untreated, but it didnāt help. I tried to tell the pharmacy that I have an appointment and they have a mistake, but they havenāt responded to my last message trying to explain the issue in days.
I have tried to send a message to both Senator Merkley and Senator Wyden (I live in Oregon) via their website, no response. I tried calling their offices, no one answered any of the calls. The only reason I havenāt contacted my representative in the House as well is because I worked in the office for many years and it is somehow even more uncomfortable sharing my personal medical information with them than it is with strangers.
But thatās the choice I have to make tomorrow because the pharmacy here isnāt willing to confirm an appointment with the doctor who works in the same building and my senators can't be bothered.
