2025.01.24 03:34 dabNebula Weekend trip, socks or chains?
Hi all,
Im headed to vermont for a few days, staying at an airbnb. The hosts state that they require their guests to have a 4WD/AWD vehicle AND snow tires, due to the remote location and steep hills to the house. I have a jeep with 4WD, but only some half used all season tires.
Im in southern new jersey and this will be my only interaction with any real snow all year.
Since I can't justify spending 1200 on snow tires for a weekend getaway, I'm thinking to grab a set of 4 chains or socks.
What would you get, for the "just-in-case" last 1 mile of the journey, that may, or may not be treacherous?

Hey everyone, just a quick update.
My wife and I have come to an agreement of sorts. I promised my wife and gave my word that I would be no contact with Jenna for life. I understand that I have to prioritize my wife and make her feel secure, and for that, I will have to cut off all contact with Jenna.
However, per my request, my wife agreed to be in touch with Jenna. I told my wife Jenna had already lost her husband, and it would be really hard for her if she lost her sister too, someone she loved dearly. I asked my wife to just give Jenna a chance to apologize, and that they can hopefully regain their close bond and friendship. My wife did agree to this request, and that made me very happy.
As for our niece, my wife and I agreed that she could come over to our house to hangout, because it wasn’t fair on her to not remain in touch with her aunt and uncle, someone she was very close with.
That’s probably my final update, thanks everyone for the advice.

Every single time I leave and come back home it tells me this. It’s getting incredibly annoying. Is there something I doing wrong or a fix?
It will work if I restart my iphone. I’ve tried hard resetting/unplugging the HomePod mini and searched without a solution.

 | After many hours of daydreaming and drooling over this shell, I finally was able to get it! Not quite at the peak of winter, and almost on top of the spring stained glass release (cries in southern european). I watched and saw some videos and pictures of the stained glass before I was even to buy it, but very few captured the beauty and just how colorful this shell truly is. Having this in mind, this is my small contribution to show how magical it looks. I'm beyond grateful for the absolute strike of luck that was finding a seller within the EU, however -and I'm afraid all of us collectors resonate with this- it's hard to get over the anxiety that fomo presents. I could talk about this for ages.
