 | My recent collection of HDM/TGC! TL;DR: I was obsessed with TCG movie when it came out. I was in awe of the alethiometer and Lyra's Character; I really wanted to be her. However, I felt that the movie had a cliffhanger ending as none of it made sense in my mind. This made me want to read the HDM trilogy and find out the real story. Unfortunately, I was unable to purchase anything due to my lacks of funds at the time (I was a literal kid). I kept asking for an Alethiometer every year for christmas - lee last photo for the only reference I could find - but my parents didn't know where and how to get one. The books were not even available in our bookstores. Now, I'm lucky enough to start my collection after years of waiting! I hope to get one of the Noble Collection Alethiometer someday, it's my absolute dream! Hey ID fans. I'm pretty sure the show I'm about to describe was on ID but I've watched so much true crime TV I can't be sure...The main concept was that a woman who was a single mom left her home (which I think was in New England somewhere) to join her boyfriend on the road against her family's wishes, in an RV. Turns out he had a violent past, They settled in Florida or some southern state, and one of her daughters attested to her mother's murder, physical and worse abuse, and one of the siblings was also presumed dead after being beaten, removed from the RV, and never seen again. I believe they arrested him in the end, but my memory is escapes me. The case has always stuck with me. If anyone knows the case or the episode it aired on, I would appreciate it.

Does anyone know how to solve the problem with fps drops when looking towards the fire? Normally the game runs at 120 fps but when there is a campfire in the distance and I look in that direction, the game starts to stutter. Is there any way to turn off the fire in the game or is there something in the options that causes it?

I HATE the way we are now. It used to be so easy with us. Moment after moment of pure joy, light and peace. How did we get from that to this place? Now we avoid each other, and if we have to interact, the air is heavy with things unsaid, memories we refuse to dwell on. It is so forced.
The part I hate the most is who I am now. I hear your name and instead of smiling, I freeze, just trying to hold the pain in so nobody else sees it. I see you and I freeze, unsure of where to look or what to say, because I don't know who I around you anymore. I don't know who I am without you, anymore.
11 years I spent with someone believing that I was in love. 6 months knowing you showed me everything I thought I knew was wrong. The love I felt for you, it was overwhelming, and yet one of the most simple and pure things I have ever experienced.
I pray one day that we will be able to find a different way to connect, a platonic bond that can be sustained in some form. Though loving you was hard, losing you is indescribable.

Mom of a level 3 ASD daughter 👋. Almost a year sober from a long stint with alcholism, but have found myself stuck in a relationship with kratom. Right now, it feels like it’s the only thing keeping me from losing my absolute shit while parenting.
I am sure I’m not alone in this struggle; parenting a severely disabled kid is absolute misery, and most days, life feels exceptionally painful. Wanted to hear from others who are navigating ASD parenting and addiction at the same time.
As an aside, I’d like to not have to depend on a substance to get through my day. It’s been tough to quit kratom because the rock bottom never really hits the way it can with other substances. There are absolutely things I dislike about this drug, but they’re pretty “meh” when compared to the lows I felt with alcohol.

2025.01.24 06:01 AdMajestic5152 I am not improving at all, low K/D that’s only getting lower.
As the title suggests. No matter what I do, I just can't seem to click.
I watched many tip videos on YouTube and had applied them the best I could into my gameplay (accurately positioning crosshair, aim strafing, practice in firing range, stick close to team, don't rush straight away, use cover, remain calm in 1v1s, drop far away, use your comfortable loadout/legend). But I still end up getting more deaths than knockdowns or kills match after match.
I looked at my past recordings(I haven't got them saved right now) analysed them and see what I could've done better. But when I go back into the game, the situations are always totally different. So looking at my past recordings didn't not help at all.
I've tried to change the settings, took a break from Apex. But somehow I still end up getting worse the more I play like wtf.
It's not my hardware as I'm getting a constant 100+ FPS.
I used to play Apex on the PS4 back in 2021. I was a level 110 + so I'm not a new player. I wasn't good back then either but I wasn't as bad as I am now.
Someone told me that "some games just aren't meant for everyone to be good at, just play another game and forget about Apex." But I know for a fact if I leave Apex in this state, it will always be in the back of my mind on how bad I was and it will affect my confidence in other games.
I only enjoy playing Apex on the basis one day I will click or slowly improve. But I'm going in the opposite direction.
I know being anxious doesn't help at all but seeing my KD drop down further and my level go up higher is making me frustrated.
I know KD stat doesn't always equal skill but it going lower does mean I'm not doing well constantly.
My current KD is 0.4 and have never hit over 0.5 KD. I mainly play Trios, solo queue.
